  • First-ever MLB at Rickwood Field pays tribute to the legacy of The Negro Leagues and Birmingham's Iconic Ballpark
  • FOX Sports celebrates its silver (25th) anniversary of televising the MLB All-Star Game with live coverage of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, July 16 at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT)

Batter up! As the 29th season of FOX Sports' Major League Baseball nears us as the cold winter months progress, the network revealed its full schedule on Wednesday (January 10) for the upcoming 2024 MLB regular season - featuring traditional divisional rivalries, an international game and a special edition game added to the slate.

The network is scheduled to start regular season coverage on Saturday, March 30 with three must-see contests, beginning with a showdown in Philadelphia as Ronald Acuña Jr. and the Atlanta Braves visit Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies at 4:00 PM ET on FS1. Braves-Phillies marks the advent of FS1's 11th (!!) year of televising MLB games. Later that night, regionalized action goes to primetime as the New York Yankees travel to Minute Maid Park for a battle with the Houston Astros and the San Francisco Giants lock horns with the divisional foe San Diego Padres, with both games being scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on FOX.

FOX Sports' signature Baseball Night in America program, featuring regionalized primetime broadcasts, returns on Saturday, May 4 (Mariners vs. Astros and Mets vs. Rays, both 7:00 PM ET starts).

2024 Season Highlights:
  • A longtime rivalry in the National League is set to be renewed across the pond as Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets tangle with Kyle Schwarber and the Philadelphia Phillies during the first game of the 2024 MLB World Tour: London Series. The action at London Stadium in London begins on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX.
  • Following several notable offseason signings, the highly anticipated interleague series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees makes its appearance on Baseball Night in America on Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 PM ET on FOX as Shohei Ohtani and his new team face off against Juan Soto and the Bronx Bombers.
  • In the latest installment of special regular season games, MLB at Rickwood Field pays tribute to The Negro Leagues and its greatest living player - National Baseball Hall of Famer Willie Mays. The oldest professional ballpark in the United States, and the former home site of the Birmingham Black Barons, is set to provide the backdrop to a historic matchup between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX.
  • FOX Sports returns to the state of Texas (fresh off the Rangers' World Series championship last season) as baseball's best players meet in the annual Midsummer Classic (2024 MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard) on Tuesday, July 16 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. FOX celebrates their 25th televising of the All-Star Game this year.

The full 2024 MLB on FOX schedule is attached below, with a link to the FS1 schedule provided as well. Announcers will be provided on a regular basis throughout the season, with any game updates/changes being posted/communicated with you guys.

  1. It's been confirmed that Adam Wainwright will join the FOX crew full-time.

    1. Never mind. He's now moving to MLB network.

    2. @Mark T. Mark, that's not true. Wainwright will still be working with FOX/FS1, but will also be working with MLB Network on the side (like during the week). So, Wainwright will be working with both networks.

  4. Odd choice to have Wayne Randazzo call the Reds-Rangers game because 1. He's in Queens for Cardinals-Mets, so why not give him that game? 2. The flight time from Queens to Arlington is pretty long. And 3. What happened to Jason Benetti?

    1. @Mark T. Mark, I definitely agree with you on this peculiar Wayne Randazzo assignment. It seems pretty unfair to have Randazzo fly overnight to prepare for the next game with less than 24 hours of notice. FOX should have flipped Amin and Randazzo to be honest on the pxp assignments, keep Wayne in NYC since he was there already, and just had Amin do the game in Texas instead. Pretty dumb announcing assignment choice to me.

As for Jason Benetti, he is calling a UFL (United Football League) game for FOX this weekend (the spring football league that FOX does), so he would have been unavailable anyway. But Benetti will be calling games on FOX at some point down the line, so don't worry about that.

    4. I wanted to say Benetti, Smoltz and Rosenthal would work Cardinals-Phillies but I changed my mind.

  10. So you'd think because Amin and Wainwright are calling Cubs-Cards that Davis, Smoltz and Rosenthal are surely calling Dodgers-Reds, no?

    ReplyDelete

    1. @Mark T. Mark, I would think so based on the fact that the Amin/Wainwright pairing has already taken off the board with the CHC-STL game (and that game, of course, is the backup game). We'll see when FOX announces the pairing of the LAD/CIN game, but I going with Davis/Smoltz/Rosenthal based off the process of elimination.

    1. @Mark T. Mark, you're probably right. Rosenthal DID NOT tweet out yesterday on his Twitter account. Normally, Ken would post on the day that he was scheduled to work a game, but he didn't do that here.

    2. He didn't do a postgame interview either.

      Delete
    3. @Mark T. Oh really? I didn't watch the game last night, but I was happy that you paid attention. Just Davis/Smoltz for STL/PHI then. Well update the listing.

    1. Very good predictions Mark, I agree with you. FOX really needs to do a better job of not just having Play-by-Play announcers working the FOX games for the teams they work for. That's what annoys about them always having Aaron Goldsmith working the FOX Games for the Mariners even though he doesn't work for FOX anymore.

    1. @Mark T. Mark, that sucks that Rosenthal get assigned PHI/ATL, but Davis and Smoltz didn't. It seems FOX prioritizes the announcers' local connection over the best game. We have seen it with Aaron Goldsmith and the Mariners and now Joe Davis and the Dodgers. Phillies/Braves is the better game in my opinion, but FOX didn't seem to think so. The assignments should have been flipped -- Davis/Smoltz/Rosenthal on PHI/ATL and Amin/Wainwright on MIL/LAD. What is SO HARD about that?

  29. How did you find out Benetti and Pierzynski were calling Dbacks-Cubs?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Mark T. Mark, I was going through my Twitter/X on Wednesday and saw a tweet that Chicago Sun-Times deputy sports editor/media columnist that Jeff Agrest released. In that tweet, Agrest says: "Jason Benetti & AJ Pierzynski will call Diamondbacks-#Cubs for @MLBONFOX on Saturday."

Jeff Agrest has been a godsend for me in the past, because he regularly posts stuff on his Twitter/X account regarding who is calling games in the Chicago market (Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears, and so forth). He basically knows the broadcast assignments before the general public does (sadly, FOX doesn't release their announcers/distribution days before the game, like they did up until recently). Instead, we HAVE to wait until Saturday to find out everything, which is STUPID!

      Delete
    2. It really is. Thanks for letting me know.

      Delete
    3. I agree, FOX should let fans know at least a day ahead of time who the announcers are going to be. I have Adam Amin, Tom Verducci & Ken Rosenthal working the Red Sox at Dodgers game. I think they might give Joe Davis & John Smoltz this weekend off after the All-Star Game.

      Delete
    4. That would make sense. But because Davis is the Dodgers announcer (and because the media hypes the hell out of the Dodgers even though we know they'll lose in the NLDS again), he'll likely call this game.

    2. @Mark T. Mark, I wish I had an answer for you, bro. I really do. This decision makes NO sense to me whatsoever. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS, FOX?! ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? I feel really sorry for Ken Rosenthal man because this Mariners-White Sox game (crappy) is going to be a miserable assignment to cover while Yankees-Red Sox (the "better" game and a game that FOX carries basically every time it happens) is happening at the exact same time. THIS MIGHT BE THE WORST DECISION IN MLB ON FOX HISTORY. Bro, I'm snapping and losing my mind over here right now. WHAT WE ARE DOING HERE?

      Delete
    3. The only reason I can think of is because it's the last FOX Game before the trade deadline and the Mariners and White Sox are expecting to be among the biggest buyers and sellers. Maybe Ken knows about a big trade involving one or both of these teams. Otherwise, Ken should absolutely be in Boston for Yankees at Red Sox. But as a Mariners fan, I am happy he will be in Chicago.

      Delete
    4. @Mark T. & @Desmond1992 Well guys, Ken Rosenthal is going to be in Boston for the Yankees at Red Sox game tomorrow after all.

      Delete
    5. Good, as he should be. I think it's very lazy of FOX to just have the same announce team for all of the Mariners FOX Games, just makes me feel like they don't care that much. I am hoping that their September 19th game vs. the Yankees will be a FOX game. Maybe I will finally get my wish of Joe Davis calling a Mariners FOX game in Seattle.

      Delete
    6. Thank God. I would've been so pissed if Rosenthal actually got the abysmal White Sox over arguably the best rivalry in all of sports.

      Delete
  39. My guess is that the FOX games on September 19th will probably be Twins at Guardians and Phillies at Mets.

    1. As a Phillies fan, I hope you're right about Phillies-Mets. I'd love to see the Phillies on FOX, especially if Ken Rosenthal is there.

  40. We still don't know the announcers for Orioles-Rays.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jason Benetti, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal will call Orioles-Rays.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Interesting that Jason Benetti is working the game since he was just in San Francisco last night working his Tigers announcing job for Bally Sports.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Tbh you make a great point. It seems unfair to have Benetti fly from San Francisco to Florida on such short notice.

  43. Ken Rosenthal wasn't working this week, it was just Benetti and Smoltz working Orioles at Rays.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Predictions
Dodgers vs Cardinals- Joe Davis, Adam Wainwright and Ken Rosenthal
Guardians vs Brewers- Adam Amin and Eric Karros

  45. Hey Tamir. Just letting you know that you still have Ken Rosenthal listed as calling Orioles-Rays.

  46. Predictions for Saturday, August 17th

Dodgers at Cardinals (Jason Benetti, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal)
Guardians at Brewers (Adam Amin, A.J Pierzynski, Adam Wainwright)

Side note: with football season starting in September, I could see Aaron Goldsmith, Jeff Levering, or Wayne Randazzo filling in for the announcers that will be working NFL games.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Glad to see Guardians at Brewers positioned as the Primary game this week, looking forward to Jason Benetti & Adam Wainwright working together for Dodgers at Cardinals. I hope it's Joe Davis working with Smoltz & Rosenthal this week.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That would be ironic if Davis wound up working Guardians-Brewers.

      Delete
    2. Looks like it's going to be Jeff Levering & A.J Pierzynski working Guardians at Brewers no Ken Rosenthal by the looks it of either.

      Delete
  48. So which game will be the game FOX showcases? Dodgers-Cardinals has the most distribution but Guardians-Brewers has the better announcers.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Mark T. Mark, I was SHOCKED to see the distribution for this week. I thought that Guardians-Brewers was going to be the "primary" game, but apparently FOX changed their minds at the last minute and decided to go with Dodgers-Cardinals as the "primary" game instead. A reason that I assume FOX chose here is the fact that Los Angeles (#2) and St. Louis (#24) are "bigger" markets than Cleveland (#19) and Milwaukee (#38). The Dodgers have more national appeal and more historical playoff success than the Guardians and Brewers, even though that is some BS based off the Dodgers getting knocked out in the Division Series pretty much year since their World Series run back in 2020. Guardians and Brewers is the better game in my opinion, tho.

      Delete
    2. Great point Tamir. Guardians at Brewers should be the primary game this week, both teams are in first place. Maybe Joe Davis & Adam Amin are working preseason football this weekend & that's why they're not working this weekend. They usually have Jeff Levering working as a fill in announcer when the regulars are busy.

      Delete
    3. I agree. With both Cleveland and Milwaukee at the top of their divisions, it'd make so much more sense to use that as the primary game. I have a feeling that Ken Rosenthal will be in Milwaukee

      Delete
  49. Based on what I read, the primary game is going to be Dodgers at Cardinals, 85 % of the country will have access to that game. Ken Rosenthal isn't listed as working either game but if he is working this weekend, he'll probably be in St. Louis with Jason & Adam.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Rosenthal is working Dodgers-Cardinals.

    ReplyDelete
  51. My predictions for Thursdays games
Phillies vs Braves- Joe Davis, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal
Astros vs Orioles- Adam Amin and AJ Pierzynski

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. What I would like to see for Thursday

Phillies at Braves (Kenny Albert, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal)
Astros at Orioles (Jason Benetti, A.J Pierzynski, Adam Wainwright)

      Delete
    2. Looks like he worked the Twins at Padres FS1 Game with Mark Sweeny last night so he probably won't be in Atlanta. I think Jason Benetti will work with Smoltz & Rosenthal for Braves at Phillies.

      Delete
    3. We can rule out Amin as well since he's calling the Bears-Chiefs preseason game.

      Delete
  52. So now that Announcer Schedules might be done for good, how will we find the announcers for tonight's games?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Mark T. Yeah, I heard and saw it. That's so unfortunate. Fortunately for us, we have another resource that helps us out with the MLB announcing confirmations. 506 Sports (a forum that I was formerly a part of) has a website in a Wikipedia type style that has all of the announcers.

Here is a link to that page: https://archive.506sports.com/wiki/2024_MLB_Season

    2. Thank you Tamir, very helpful. Jason Benetti and John Smoltz are working Phillies at Braves and Kenny Albert, Adam Wainwright, and Ken Rosenthal are in Baltimore for Astros at Orioles.

  53. Ken Rosenthal will be in Baltimore for Astros at Orioles.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Astros vs Orioles has Ken Rosenthal

    ReplyDelete
  55. Confused as to why Rosenthal didn't call Phillies-Braves last night.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think because both the Astros & Orioles are in first place. I also expected him to be in Atlanta, I would think he's probably going to be in Philadelphia next Saturday for Braves at Phillies.

      Delete
    2. @Mark T. Bro, that is very confusing indeed. Normally, Rosenthal works the "lead" game with the "lead" crew. Not sure if was logistical issues or not, but that was very strange. Albeit both PHI/ATL and HOU/BAL were good games last night featuring teams in very good positions standings-wise, but Phillies/Braves was the primary game, though.

      Delete
    3. Desmond makes a good point. Astros vs Orioles is a great game, but the Phillies-Braves game had more distribution. But if John Smoltz is there, Ken Rosenthal should be.

      Delete
  56. Per Rudy Martzke

Braves vs Phillies- Brandon Gaudin, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal
Brewers vs Reds- Don Orsillo and AJ Pierzynski

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thank you Mark, Brandon Gaudin worked for FOX before he became the lead announcer for the Braves. Glad to see Don Orsillo working a FOX game, he should be doing the Postseason for TBS, not Bob Costas.

    ReplyDelete
  58. My predictions for next Saturday (Sept 7)

Twins vs Royals- Aaron Goldsmith, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal
White Sox vs Red Sox- Jeff Levering and AJ Pierzynski

    Replies
    1. Good & interesting predictions Mark. You think they'll give Aaron Goldsmith & Jeff Levering some FOX games in September? I hope so, that would be great!!! White Sox at Red Sox should not be a FOX game, it should be replaced with Guardians at Dodgers or Diamondbacks at Astros.

      Delete
    2. Yeah. I want to see Levering or Goldsmith or Wayne Randazzo on the call of a FOX game.

      Delete
    3. Actually, I think Levering and Pierzynski will call Angels-Rangers and Brandon Gaudin and Adam Wainwright will call White Sox- Red Sox.

    5. I like the way you're thinking so let's go with it

Twins at Royals (Jeff Levering, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal)
White Sox at Red Sox (Aaron Goldsmith, A.J Pierzynski)

      Delete
    6. Did they put the Angels at Rangers game back on the schedule? That doesn't make sense to me at all. If they were going to add a 3rd game it should have been Diamondbacks at Astros or Guardians at Dodgers.

      Delete
    7. Agreed. Especially because there's a good chance it won't mean anything for the playoff picture.

      Delete
    8. Hey Desmond, what are your predictions for the 3 games next weekend?

      Delete
    9. Twins at Royals (Don Orsillo, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal)

  61. So here's my FINAL prediction for next Saturday

Twins vs Royals- Jeff Levering, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal
White Sox vs Red Sox- Don Orsillo and AJ Pierzynski

    ReplyDelete
  62. I see they have Phillies at Mets confirmed for Thursday, September 19th. I was hoping the other game would be Yankees at Mariners, but with Seattle pretty much out of the Playoff Race, it will probably end up being Twins at Guardians or Diamondbacks at Brewers.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I am with You on that one and It probably end up being Either Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians and or Arizona Diamondbacks and Milwaukee Brewers.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Per Rudy Martzke

White Sox vs Red Sox- Don Orsillo AJ Pierzynski and Ken Rosenthal
Twins vs Royals- Cory Provus and Eric Karros

    ReplyDelete
  65. Twins announcer Cory Provus & Eric Karros are working Twins at Royals & Don Orsillo & A.J Pierzynski are working White Sox at Red Sox. Twins at Royals is listed as the primary game, but as of now, Ken Rosenthal will be in Boston for White Sox at Red Sox, but I expect that to change.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I really hope FOX put Both Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians and Arizona Diamondbacks and Milwaukee Brewers on FOX on Thursday September 19th along with Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets and Hopefully they get this one By Sometime Next Week.

    2. I agree, the only reason I think they won't is they might not have enough of the FOX announcers available because of football season starting. White Sox at Red Sox should not be on FOX, it should have been Yankees at Cubs, Guardians at Dodgers, or Diamondbacks at Astros

      Delete
  67. Why is Ken Rosenthal calling White Sox vs Red Sox over Twins vs Royals?

    3. It'd be interesting if Goldsmith called a game on Saturday.

    4. @Mark T. Mark, it would be interesting for sure. The Mariners are practically eliminated from the playoff race at this stage, and FOX definitely needs announcers since most of their regulars (Albert, Davis, Benetti, Kugler, Amin, etc.) are all NFL duty. I can see Wayne Randazzo calling a game for FOX on Saturday since the Angels are eliminated from the playoffs and the Angels can easily find another announcer to fill-in on Saturday (Matt Vasgersian, etc.). And besides, Aaron Goldsmith has called late-season games (September/October) for FOX in the past.

      Delete
    5. Matt Vasgersian should still be doing FOX games, he's one of my all-time favorite announcers.

      Delete
    6. I'd like to see Wayne Randazzo call a game Saturday.

    7. I agree Mark, he should. I think Wayne should be the primary game announcer they use for the final FOX Saturday regular season games, like he did in 2021 & last season.
