Here we are, folks! With Carolina’s 6-1 win over the Canadiens in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final on Friday night, we now have the 2026 Stanley Cup Final matchup. The Vegas Golden Knights will battle the Carolina Hurricanes to determine who will be the NHL’s 2025-26 champion.

The 2026 Stanley Cup Final presented by GEICO begins on Tuesday, June 2, from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC. ABC will present the series on the over-the-air television (OTA), featuring commentators Sean McDonough, Ray Ferraro & Emily Kaplan. McDonough, Ferraro & Kaplan are working their third Stanley Cup Final together, after previously working the Lightning-Avalanche series in 2022 & the Oilers-Panthers series in 2024.

The Golden Knights punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final with a Western Conference Final series sweep over the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche. The Golden Knights are the top seed from the Pacific Division this year (39-26-17, 95 points). The Golden Knights needed six games to beat the Utah Mammoth in the first round and the Anaheim Ducks in the second round.

Previously, Vegas has split its two prior trips to the Stanley Cup Final. They lost to the Washington Capitals in five games in 2018, then won a five-game series over the Florida Panthers in 2023 to win the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup championship.

Carolina made it to the Stanley Cup Final after defeating the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference Final, four games to one. Carolina was the No. 1 seed from the Metropolitan Division, securing the East’s best record (53-22-7, 113 points). The Hurricanes swept the Ottawa Senators in the first round and dispatched the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round via a four-game series sweep.

This is Carolina’s third Stanley Cup Final appearance, and its first one since winning the Stanley Cup title way back in 2006.

2026 College Football on USA Network Schedule

Logo used for the second incarnation of USA Sports (2025-present). (USA Network)

| ⏵ Thursday, May 28, 2026

๐ŸŸ… Highlights:
  • USA Sports launches its Pac-12 football package in 2026.
  • The 22-game lineup includes home games from every Pac-12 school, at least six from Oregon State, and five from Washington State & Boise State.
  • Consistent game times USA to present Pac-12 football doubleheaders on most Saturdays, with games at 6:00 PM ET and 9:30 PM ET.
  • FLEX! USA Sports can flex in TWO games on Saturday, November 28, with the games to be determined after Week 12’s play.
  • Battle for the Bronze Boot” gets USA Sports’ college football coverage underway, with Wyoming playing Colorado State on Saturday, September 5, at 6:00 PM ET.

USA Sports announced its on-air schedule for its 2026 Pac-12 football coverage, marking the first season USA Network will air Pac-12 college football.

USA Sports’ 2026 Pac-12 football schedule. (Versant Press Room)

USA Network’s 22-game schedule has multiple games from each school in the newly formed Pac-12, with at least one home game for each club. Oregon State will have six games on the station (the most of any Pac-12 team) this year. In contrast, Boise State, which won its third consecutive conference championship in 2025 and reached the College Football Playoff the year prior, and Washington State get five games on USA Network. USA Network will broadcast every game between these three programs, including Washington State-Oregon State in Week 7 (October 17), Boise State-Washington State in Week 8 (October 24), & Oregon State-Boise State in Week 11 (November 14).

A noticeable feature of USA Network’s 2026 Pac-12 football coverage is a regular kickoff time for doubleheader games — 6:00 PM ET and 9:30 PM ET. 17 of their 22 games will be slotted in these two time windows. In the final week of the regular season, USA Sports will have two FLEX matchups from the Pac-12’s home-and-home format on Saturday, November 28, allowing USA to televise games that will hopefully have some meaning to them when the time comes. Additionally, the USA Network will have first pick during this week. These Week 13 USA games will be determined after the Week 12 slate.

“We can’t wait to kick off USA Sports’ inaugural season of Pac-12 coverage this fall on USA Network,” said Mariel Brady, VP, Programming, USA Sports. “Our 2026 Pac-12 schedule features an incredibly strong intraconference slate and top-tier matchups throughout the season’s stretch run, punctuated by the first pick of Week 13’s flex scheduling.”

The season begins on USA Network with a non-conference double dip on Saturday, September 5, as Colorado State, in Jim Mora’s debut as head coach of the Rams, hosts their rival Wyoming in the Border War duel for the Bronze Boot at 6:00 PM ET, followed by Portland State-San Diego State at 9:30 PM ET.

The early-season non-conference game lineup on USA Network includes Boise State hosting Memphis in a Week 2 clash on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00 PM ET and Texas State going up against North Texas, who finished the 2025 season with a 12-2 record and were ranked No. 24 in the final AP Top 25 poll, in Week 3 (Saturday, September 19) at 12:00 PM ET.

On Saturday, September 19, during Week 3, USA Network will deliver an extensive lineup of sports programming, featuring three Pac-12 games, early-morning Premier League coverage, and live NASCAR Cup Series coverage from Bristol Motor Speedway. After the Premier League broadcast, the game between North Texas and Texas State will commence at 12:00 PM ET. This will be succeeded by the matchup between Duquesne and Washington State at 3:30 PM ET, while the day will conclude with the game featuring Montana at Oregon State at 11:00 PM ET, following the NASCAR night race in Bristol.

The Pac-12 conference schedule kicks off in Week 5, with USA Network presenting a Saturday primetime doubleheader on October 3, featuring Oregon State vs. Colorado State at 6:00 PM ET and Fresno State vs. Washington State at 9:30 PM ET.

In Week 7, two legacy Pac-12 members face off on USA Network as Washington State visits Oregon State on Saturday, October 17 at 6:00 PM ET.

USA Network will have the rights to four in-conference Boise State games, including at Washington State (Saturday, October 24 at 6:00 PM ET), and three consecutive late-season matchups at Colorado State (Saturday, November 7), and home games vs. Oregon State (Saturday, November 14) and San Diego State (Saturday, November 21).

More information about USA Sports’ studio and game commentators for Pac-12 football will be announced later in the summer.

| ⏵ Thursday, May 28, 2026

๐ŸŸ† Highlights:
  • Big Ten (B1G) programs like Oregon, Minnesota, & USC will be featured early on in CBS’s 2026 regular season slate.
  • Four regular-season Pac-12 games as that league restarts following a multi-year hiatus, including Texas Tech-Oregon State, BYU-Colorado State, & Arizona-Washington State. CBS will serve as the host of the 2026 Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, December 4 at 8:00 PM ET.
  • Five doubleheader windows for CBS during the regular season, including three in September (September 12, September 19 & September 26).
  • The 127th annual Army-Navy Game & the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl are also major highlights to CBS’s 2026 college football schedule.

As the countdown to the college football season approaches the 100-day mark, excitement builds with the announcement of the schedule and kickoff times for several high-profile early-season games.

On Wednesday, CBS Sports unveiled its college football schedule for the 2026 season, featuring 14 matchups involving the Big Ten, all slated for the customary 3:30 PM ET kickoff. The season will commence with Oregon facing Boise State in a highly anticipated Week 1 clash between contenders for the College Football Playoff in Eugene.

Additional Big Ten games scheduled on CBS include Minnesota’s matchup against Mississippi State in Week 2 and USC’s significant journey to New Jersey to begin its conference slate against Rutgers in Week 3. CBS will also air the traditional Black Friday rivalry game between Nebraska and Iowa, set for Iowa City on November 27 at 12:00 PM ET, followed by the final Big Ten game on CBS during the regular season on November 28 at 3:30 PM ET.

Among the numerous narratives shaping this college football season, the Pac-12’s resurgence stands out. CBS Sports will provide extensive coverage of the revamped league, including prominent nonconference matchups and the Pac-12 Championship Game, which will take place at the season’s conclusion on CBS. Boise State will showcase its status as a contender early with its visit to Oregon. At the same time, Oregon State, Colorado State, and Washington State aim to disrupt the plans of power-conference teams on their challenging early-season road trips.

In addition to the Big Ten and Pac-12 matchups, CBS Sports will also highlight three games in the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy rivalry, featuring Army, Navy, and Air Force. The series will culminate with the Army-Navy game, maintaining its traditional slot on the calendar at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

MLB on Fox: On Deck | Two ancient rivals from the NL Central take the field on this week's "Baseball Night in America" on Fox as Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs visit Jordan Walker and the St. Louis Cardinals (or Braves vs. Reds) | Saturday, May 30, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Fox

| ⏵ Monday, May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day)

๐ŸŸ† Highlights:
  • The month of May winds down with another exciting “MLB on Fox” Saturday doubleheader coming your way on Saturday, May 30, across Fox and FS1.
  • A fierce rivalry from America’s heartland (Cubs-Cardinals) and a pair of cross-divisional games from the AL (Royals-Rangers) and NL (Braves-Reds) highlight this week’s schedule.
  • A crucial game from the Lone Star State featuring two AL squads trying to catch some early summer fire, as Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals (22-32) square off against Andrew McCutchen and the Texas Rangers (24-28) on Saturday, May 30, at 4:00 PM ET (3:00 PM CT) on FS1.
  • Michael Busch and the slumping Chicago Cubs (29-25) attempt to get right against Victor Scott II and the St. Louis Cardinals (29-23) on Saturday, May 30, at 7:15 PM ET (6:15 PM CT) on Fox.
  • Ronald Acรฑua Jr. and the National League East-leading Atlanta Braves (36-18) take on Tyler Stephenson and the Cincinnati Reds (27-25) in National League play on Saturday, May 30, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox.

Hi, everyone! I hope you enjoyed your holiday Memorial Day weekend! This weekend (Saturday, May 30), Fox Sports continues its season-long coverage of the 2026 MLB season with a “Fox Saturday Baseball” doubleheader across the Fox broadcast network and FS1. I should mention that FS1 will be airing its last Saturday contest for the foreseeable future, as the network will not air a Saturday game until July 11. Until then, only Fox games will be covered for the next several On Deck articles. Just a quick heads up.

Memorial Day is a key milestone of MLB’s regular season. Around this time, we should have enough data to predict which teams will be good and which will not be contending down the stretch.

Two-time World Series champion Alex Bregman leads the Chicago Cubs (29-25) into a heated NL Central divisional matchup versus rising star Jordan Walker and the St. Louis Cardinals (29-23) on Saturday, May 30, at 7:15 PM ET (6:15 PM CT) on Fox, headlining Fox Sports’ Major League Baseball coverage this week.

MLB on FS1: Royals vs. Rangers — Saturday at 4:00 PM ET/3:00 PM CT on FS1:
FS1, now in its 13th season of Major League Baseball coverage, resumes its regular season package with an American League battle on Saturday, May 30, at 4:00 PM ET (3:00 PM CT) when Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals (22-32) match up with Brandon Nimmo and the Texas Rangers (24-29). ๐ŸŽค Calling Saturday’s Royals vs. Rangers for FS1 will be play-by-play commentator Connor Onion and game analyst Eric Karros.

After making the playoffs in 2024, Kansas City is going in the wrong direction. Following an 82-80 season in 2025 that saw Kansas City miss the postseason, the Royals are already nine games behind the Guardians for the top spot in the American League Central. Kansas City trails Minnesota by four games for the last AL Wild Card spot. On Monday, the Royals lost 4-3 to the Yankees despite home runs from Bobby Witt Jr. and Salvador Perez. The Royals have dropped 11 of the previous 14 games, including two sweeps at the hands of the White Sox and Red Sox, respectively.

The Rangers, of course, captured the team’s first World Series championship back in 2023 (a 4-1 series win over the Diamondbacks in the World Series). Since then, the team has struggled to maintain consistency. Texas has posted a 78-84 record in 2024, followed by a .500 record last year (81-81). On Monday, the Rangers were no-hit in a combined no-hitter thrown by the Astros, 9-0. That loss was the fourth consecutive one for Texas. The Rangers’ offensive attack is spearheaded by 1B Jake Burger, who leads the team in home runs (10) and runs batted in (34).

Baseball Night in America: Cubs vs. Cardinals or Braves vs. Reds — Saturday at 7:00 PM ET on Fox:
Baseball Night in America, Fox Sports’ weekly MLB primetime series, continues with regional coverage on Saturday, May 30, beginning at 7:00 PM ET on the Fox broadcast network. This week, Fox will regionalize two games across the country, including the Cubs playing the Cardinals in St. Louis and the Braves visiting the Reds in Cincinnati. Which game will you be seeing, and who’s scheduled to call the action? Read on to find out the answers.

Michael Busch and the Chicago Cubs (29-25), a team that is currently in the midst of a nine-game losing streak, look to return to their winning ways against their hated NL Central rival, Masyn Winn and the St. Louis Cardinals (29-23) on Saturday, May 30, at 7:15 PM ET (6:15 PM CT) on Fox. ๐ŸŽค Fox Sports’ Eric Collins (play-by-play), Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst) & Emmy Award winner Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will call Cubs-Cardinals from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

Busch (30 RBI — 2nd on team), Nico Hoerner, Dansby Swanson, and the Cubs face a week-long NL Central stretch as the team looks to snap their current nine-game streak. Four games in Pittsburgh followed by a three-game set against the despised Cardinals. Chicago, which has two stretches of 10 consecutive wins earlier this year, has gone an abysmal 1-9 over their last 10 games. On Monday, the Cubs lost a close 2-1 game to the Pirates in Pittsburgh, with Michael Busch hitting his sixth home run of the season.

24-year-old Cardinals RF Jordan Walker is leading a Cardinals team looking to make a splash in the National League playoff race in 2026. Walker leads his squad in home runs (15), RBIs (42), runs (37), hits (58), and batting average (.297). Walker is a rising star who has flown under the radar in baseball circles. St. Louis has played average baseball over their last 10 contests, winning five and losing five. On Memorial Day, the Cardinals lost to the Brewers, 5-1, thanks to Brewers P Jacob Misiorowski’s brilliant seven-inning performance, where he only allowed one Cardinal run and struck out 12 Cardinals in the process. The Cardinals trail the Brewers by two and a half games for the National League Central lead.

Michael Harris II and the Atlanta Braves (36-18), who have the best record in the National League, look to continue their hot start to the season against the dangerous and speedy Elly De La Cruz and the hungry Cincinnati Reds (28-25) on Saturday, May 30, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox. ๐ŸŽค Fox Sports’ Brandon Gaudin (play-by-play) and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski (analyst) will call Braves-Reds from Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Harris II (4-for-4 with HR in Tuesday’s 7-6 win over the Red Sox) and the Braves continue their outstanding start to the 2026 campaign. Atlanta has won six of their last 10 matchups, with Tuesday’s win at Fenway Park included in that total. Atlanta looks to return to the playoffs this year following a rare non-playoff season last year (2025 was the first time since 2017 that the Braves didn’t make the postseason party). The Braves are 20-8 on the road this season, which means Atlanta is taking care of business away from their home ballpark, Truist Park.

De La Cruz, who is tied for fifth in hits with 62 (alongside Blue Jays 2B Ernie Clement), and the Reds look to cool down the best team in the National League. Cincinnati has started to come around, as the Reds have picked up wins in their last three games, including a 7-2 win over the Mets featuring Chase Burns’ seventh win of the season and three hits from Reds LF JJ Bleday. The Reds are third in the NL Central, behind the Brewers (division leader) and Cardinals. The Reds try to get to the postseason in back-to-back years for the first time since 2012-13.
