Monday, November 11, 2024 (Veterans Day)

Highlights of this week's NFL on FOX schedule (Week #11):
  • The month of November on the "NFL on FOX" continues with a second consecutive Sunday of regional action on FOX Sports during Week #11 (Sunday, November 17) with five games - including Packers at Bears (1:00 PM ET) and Seahawks at 49ers (4:05 PM ET, late).
  • Week #11 on FOX sees three teams in the current playoff picture hit the field - the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons (6-4, @ DEN), the #3 NFC Wild Card Green Bay Packers (6-3, @ CHI) & the #3 AFC Wild Card Denver Broncos (5-5, vs. ATL).
  • Following a one week absence due to a extended "FOX NFL Sunday" episode for Veterans' Day, "FOX NFL Kickoff" returns to the lineup this Sunday at 11:00 AM ET to give the first previews of Sunday's game action, followed by "FOX NFL Sunday" (back in its traditional 12:00 PM ET time slot).
  • Soldier Field in Chicago plays host to a very important NFC North duel in Week #11 as Jordan Love, Romeo Doubs, Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers (6-3) return to the gridiron following last week's bye against Kevin Byard III and the Chicago Bears (4-5) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX.
  • Bijan Robinson and the current NFC South leader Atlanta Falcons (6-4) head west to square off against Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos (5-5), trying to bounce back after last week's STUNNING loss at the finish to the Chiefs, on Sunday, November 17 at 4:05 PM (ET) on FOX.

Hi again, everyone! The 2024 NFL season continues this Sunday, November 17, with Week #11 regional action on the NFL on FOX. For the second straight Sunday, FOX will present one game on a regional basis across the country. There are five games on the FOX docket, and they include: Packers at Bears (1:00 PM ET), Browns at Saints (1:00 PM ET), Rams at Patriots (1:00 PM ET), Seahawks at 49ers (4:05 PM ET; LATE) and Falcons at Broncos (4:05 PM ET; LATE). Which game will you receive on FOX and who's set to announce the action? Continue reading to find out in this week's edition of the NFL on FOX broadcast & regionalization article.

During this Sunday's NFL on FOX regional action, the lead ("foremost") broadcast will be a NFC North clash from Chicago's Soldier Field as the Packers visit the Bears at 1:00 PM ET. More information about Sunday's Packers-Bears matchup is located in the ensuing paragraph (see below).

At 1:00 PM ET, Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (6-3) return from their bye week to face 2024 NFL Draft #1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears (4-5). Simply put, the Packers have DOMINATED the Bears at Soldier Field over the past decade and a half or so, as Green Bay has taken victory in 13 of the 14 previous trips to Soldier Field. Currently, the Packers would be the last team in the NFC playoff picture as the #7 seed. Chicago, on the other hand, is reeling somewhat as they have dropped three straight following their Week 7 bye. 🎙 FOX's lead team of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) and Tom Rinaldi (reporter) are tasked with announcing with the early afternoon NFC North duel.

FOX will set up Sunday's Week #11 singleheader with two live hours of pregame coverage. The pregame activities start at 11:00 AM ET with "FOX NFL Kickoff" live from Los Angeles, California. Host Charissa Thompson, analyst and four-time Pro Bowl Michael Vick, analyst and Hall of Famer Charles Woodson, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman and insider Peter Schrager have a first look at the upcoming day's football action. The program will also contain interviews with key NFL newsmakers, live reports from the NFL game sites, any breaking news that arises and updates.

Following "FOX NFL Kickoff", the pregame coverage continues at 12:00 PM ET with another episode of the legendary "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show. Live from Los Angeles, Curt Menefee and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw team up as co-hosts for the one hour program. Menefee and Bradshaw are scheduled to be joined at the desk this week by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, Hall of Famer Howie Long & four-time champion Rob Gronkowski. Longtime FOX Sports stalwart Jay Glazer rounds out the cast and serves as the "insider" for the program.

Then, FOX heads out to the stadiums for the kickoffs of the early game of the singleheader (for FOX stations that are allowed to air their only game during this window). At 1:00 PM ET, FOX will regionalize three matchups - Packers at Bears (52% of Markets), Rams at Patriots (10% of Markets) & Browns at Saints (7% of Markets). We will discuss each of these early game matchups in just a moment (sans Packers-Bears, as I will summarize the ideas expressed earlier in this article).

Jayden Reed and the Green Bay Packers (6-3) hit the road this week to face D'Andre Swift and the Chicago Bears (4-5) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt is joined by analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, reporter Erin Andrews & reporter Tom Rinaldi for Sunday's Packers-Bears broadcast. (For more information on Packers-Bears, check out the second paragraph in this article.)

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams (4-5) look to shake off a ugly showing vs. the Dolphins on "Monday Night Football" when they line up against Anfernee Jennings and the New England Patriots (3-7) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Rams are coming off a pretty bad 23-15 loss to the Dolphins last week on "Monday Night Football". Before that Miami loss, Los Angeles had stringed together three consecutive wins. Now, the Rams strive to get back to the .500 mark. Rams WR Cooper Kupp caught seven passes for 80 yards last week vs. the Dolphins. Rams rookie LB Jared Verse had his second career forced fumble & first career fumble recovery last week vs. the Dolphins. It has been a long season for the Patriots and their fans. However, a bright spot happened last week, when the Patriots defeated the Bears 19-3 at Soldier Field. The Patriots try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season and place another dent on the Rams' postseason hopes. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson ran for 74 yards last week vs. the Bears. Patriots rookie QB Drake Maye went 15-for-25 for 184 yards & TD last week vs. the Bears. 🎙 Adam Amin serves as the play-by-play announcer alongside analyst and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez. Kristina Pink works the sidelines.

Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns (2-7) return to action following a bye week when they travel to the Casears Superdome to play Cameron Jordan and the New Orleans Saints (3-7) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. Both teams have dropped six of their previous seven games, following a 1-1 Browns start and a 2-0 Saints start. Because of this, both teams are now barely hanging on to any playoff hopes whatsoever. Two weeks ago, the Browns dropped a 27-10 decision to the Chargers at home. Browns RB Nick Chubb has compiled 50+ scrimmage yards in each of his previous 12 games away from Huntington Bank Field. Browns CB Denzel Ward had 2 passes deflected in Week 9 vs. the Chargers. In Week #10, the Saints FINALLY snapped their seven-game losing streak by besting the Falcons 20-17. Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling had a memorable Saints debut last week, with a season-high 109 receiving yards & 2 tuddies. Saints DL Chase Young had a sack & his first forced fumble in Week 10 vs. the Falcons. 🎙 Sunday's Browns-Saints broadcast will be seen on FOX, with Kenny Albert on play-by-play, Super Bowl champion LB Jonathan Vilma on color commentary & Jennifer Hale covering the sidelines.

Later in the afternoon, for stations waiting patiently to display a late game, live coverage begins at 4:00 PM ET with kickoff slated for 4:05 PM ET (following a quick broadcast open and a few commercials inserted). Two games will be regionally televised on FOX during this 4:00 PM ET window - Seahawks at 49ers (21% of Markets) & Falcons at Broncos (10% of Markets). We will prepare you for these late afternoon confrontations in the paragraphs to follow.

Two NFC West rivals are scheduled to finish up their 2024 regular season series as DB Deommodore Lenoir, who recently signed a well-deserved contract extension with San Francisco, leads his homestanding San Francisco 49ers (5-4) into battle with Kenneth Walker III and the Seattle Seahawks (4-5) on Sunday, November 17 at 4:05 PM ET on FOX. The Seahawks have hit a brick wall following a surprising 3-0 start, dropping five of their previous six games, factoring in their 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams in Week #9 (last Seahawks game before the bye). Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett needs just 19 yards to become second player in Seahawks history with 13,000 combined yards. The Seahawks need four more wins to reach 400 wins in club history. The 49ers have won three of their last games following a shaky 2-2 start, including last week's 23-20 win over the Buccaneers. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey finally made his season debut last week vs. Tampa Bay, rushing 13 times for 39 yards (avg 3.0 yards per tote). 49ers rookie WR Ricky Pearsall scored his first-ever career touchdown vs. the Buccaneers last week. Both teams try to keep pace with the first Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West. If the season were to begin today, both teams would be OUT of the playoff picture, so obviously this game means a lot for both participants here. 🎙 Sunday's Seahawks-49ers contest will be shown on FOX, featuring play-by-play commentator Joe Davis, analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and reporter Pam Oliver.

Darnell Mooney and the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons (6-4) enter hostile territory this week for a interconference matchup with Brandon Jones and the Denver Broncos (5-5) on Sunday, November 17 at 4:05 PM ET on FOX. As of now, both the Falcons & Broncos would be playing some January playoff football, but that is subject to change between now and then. The Falcons have won five of their previous seven games (with those losses coming to the Seahawks in Week #7 and the Saints in Week #10). Falcons WR Drake London has eight catches for 97 yards in Week 10 vs. the Saints. Last week, Falcons RB Bijan Robinson had a great performance in the loss to New Orleans, picking up 144 scrimmage yards (116 rush, 28 rec.) and rushing for two scores. The Broncos came into this week's game with two consecutive losses on their record, a Week #9 loss to the Ravens and a Week #10 loss to the Chiefs at the last second. Broncos WR Courtland Sutton recorded 6 receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown last week vs. the Chiefs. Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II made five tackles last week vs. Kansas City. 🎙 Play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston and reporter Laura Okmin provide commentary for Sunday's Falcons-Broncos game on FOX.

Monday, November 11, 2024 (Veterans Day)

Highlights of this week's NFL on CBS doubleheader (Week #11):
  • For the second straight week, CBS Sports will have the doubleheader. In Week #11, CBS will have the "game of the year" as the national 4:25 PM ET game when Patrick Mahomes and the defending two-time champion Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) try to keep their undefeated record intact against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (8-2) in a re-match of what has become one of the most compelling AFC rivalries over the past half decade or so.
  • Six teams currently in the playoff picture are set for Week #11 matchups on CBS, including the Kansas City Chiefs (9-0), Detroit Lions (8-1), Buffalo Bills (8-2), Minnesota Vikings (7-2), Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) & Baltimore Ravens (7-3).
  • A special edition of "The NFL Today" as the pregame guys hit the road (!!) for the Chiefs-Bills game, hosting the legendary Sunday pregame show from Lot 6 of Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, starting at 12:00 PM ET on CBS.
  • Two longtime AFC North foes meet for the time this season as Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) visit Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) with first place in the AFC North on the line. Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS.
  • EVERYONE in the country will get the riveting AFC matchup in the late afternoon timeslot, as Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) face off with James Cook and the Buffalo Bills (8-2) in a re-match of last season's AFC Divisional Playoffs. Sunday, November 17 at 4:25 PM ET on CBS.

For the second straight weekend, CBS Sports will have the rights to a doubleheader. This upcoming Sunday, November 17, CBS will present games from Week #11 of the 2024 NFL season. CBS has six games on their schedule this week, including: Ravens at Steelers (1:00 PM ET), Jaguars at Lions (1:00 PM ET), Colts at Jets (1:00 PM ET), Vikings at Titans (1:00 PM ET), Raiders at Dolphins (1:00 PM ET) and Chiefs at Bills (4:25 PM ET). Which doubleheader games is your local CBS station/market scheduled to show and which announcers are scheduled to call these games? Carry on with this article and the answer to the question will be revealed.

During the course of this week's NFL on CBS doubleheader, the "spotlight" games are Ravens vs. Steelers (1:00 PM ET) and Chiefs vs. Bills (4:25 PM ET). I will provide a full summary of these games right now, with a short wrap-up to come later on.

The "lead" early game (66% of Markets) on CBS this week takes place at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, as reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) take on T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) in a Week #11 AFC North divisional matchup at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Right now, the Steelers are the #3 seed in the AFC and the Ravens are the #5 seed in the AFC. Long story short, both teams are good and should be penciled in (barring anything crazy) as AFC playoff teams here in 2024. The Ravens entered the week with the league's top scoring offense (31.8 per points per game) and total offense (440.2 yards per game). The Steelers hold the second-ranked scoring defense (16.2 points allowed per game). Ravens QB Lamar Jackson leads the NFL with a 123.2 rating, ranks tied-first with 24 touchdown passes. The Steelers are currently on a four-game winning streak as they enter their first division game of the 2024 season. The Steelers have averaged 30.8 points per game since Week 6, the third most in the NFL during this time period. Steelers QB Russell Wilson is 3-0 as the Steelers' starting quarterback, after taking over the QB1 job in Week #7. 🎙 Sunday's Ravens-Steelers game will be nationally televised on CBS, with Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst) & Evan Washburn (reporter) announcing the action.

The entire country (100% of Markets) will watch one of the most riveting AFC non-divisional rivalries in recent seasons at 4:25 PM ET this Sunday on CBS. Justin Reid and the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) are set to battle Dorian Williams and the Buffalo Bills (8-2) in a re-match of last season's AFC Divisional Playoff game. In fact, the Bills & Chiefs have met in postseason play in three of the past four seasons (2020-21 & 2023, with 2022 being the exception). Currently, these are the top two seeds in the AFC playoff picture. The Chiefs have won 15 straight games dating back to last season, including the postseason. If the Chiefs win on Sunday, they become the fifth time since 1990 to win 16 consecutive games, including the playoffs, joining the 2003-04 Patriots (21 straight wins), 2010-11 Packers (19 straight wins), 2007-08 Patriots (18 straight wins) & 1997-98 Broncos (18 straight wins). Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has 98 career wins (including the playoffs), including Tom Brady (100 wins) for the most by a quarterback in his first eight seasons in NFL history. Bills QB Josh Allen has 71 career regular season victories and can surpass Joe Flacco (72) for the third most regular season wins by a quarterback in his first seven NFL seasons (only Russell Wilson, 75 wins and Patrick Mahomes, 74 wins have more). 🎙 CBS's lead team of Jim Nantz (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Tony Romo (analyst) and Tracy Wolfson (reporter) are scheduled for the 4:25 PM ET Chiefs-Bills call.

In fact, CBS will enhance Sunday's Chiefs-Bills game broadcast by sending the entire "The NFL Today" pregame show to Orchard Park, New York ahead of the Chiefs-Bills game (4:25 PM ET). Beginning at 12:00 PM (ET), a special edition of "The NFL Today" will be broadcast live from Lot 6 outside Highmark Stadium. Veteran host James Brown anchors the one-hour show, with analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt, analyst and Hall of Fame coach Bill Cowher, analyst and former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson and analyst and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Insider Jonathan Jones joins the pregame gang on-site in Orchard Park with the latest NFL news and information.

Once "The NFL Today" wraps up, it's time to head to the NFL game sites for the first game of the Week #11 CBS doubleheader. At 1:00 PM ET, CBS will regionalize FIVE (!!) games to markets across the country - including Ravens at Steelers (66% of Markets), Jaguars at Lions (10% of Markets), Colts at Jets (10% of Markets), Vikings at Titans (8% of Markets) & Raiders at Dolphins (6% of Markets). I will discuss each one of these five matchups in depth (sans Ravens-Steelers).

Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) are set to visit George Pickens and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) in a must-see AFC North division showdown on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. 🎙 Ian Eagle calls the play-by-play, joined by analyst Charles Davis in the booth and reporter Evan Washburn down on the field.

Travis Etienne Jr. and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) make a trip up North this weekend to face Amon-Ra St. Brown and the current #1 seed in the NFC, and the Detroit Lions (8-1) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Jaguars have lost three straight games entering Week #11, basically all but eliminating them from the playoffs. The Jaguars lost a close one to the Vikings, last week, 12-7. Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen aims for the third straight game on the road with 0.5+ sacks. Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. ties for lead among rookies with 607 receiving yards & ranks 2nd with five receiving touchdowns. The Lions are currently the best team in the NFC, bringing in a decent 8-1 record with them into this week's game. The Lions came back from a 23-7 deficit to take down the Texans, 26-23, on "Sunday Night Football" last week. Lions QB Jared Goff has 2+ TD passes in six of his past seven starts. Lions DB Brian Branch led the team with season-high 10 tackles & had 2 pass deflections & tackle for loss in Week 10 vs. the Texans. 🎙 Sunday's Jaguars-Lions game will be seen nationally on CBS, as Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Trent Green (analyst) and reporter Melanie Collins team up for the broadcast call.

Jonathan Taylor and his Indianapolis Colts (4-6) strive to improve their division and AFC Wild Card playoff changes against Davante Adams and the New York Jets (3-7) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Despite the Colts' recent three-game skid, the Colts are still very much in play for a playoff spot (likely a wild card berth). The Colts were defeated 30-20 by the Bills in Week 10. Colts WR Josh Downs had 7 catches for 72 yards in Week 10 vs. the Bills. Colts LB Zaire Franklin leads the NFL with 105 tackles in 2024 following the first ten weeks of the season. As for the Jets, it has been another case of high expectations and low achievement. The Jets were completely dismantled by the Cardinals, 31-6, last week out in Arizona. Jets WR Garrett Wilson has 5+ catches in eight straight games, the longest active streak in the NFL. Jets DL Quinnen Williams strives for his 4th straight game with a tackle for a loss. 🎙 Sunday's Colts-Jets game is set to be shown over the national airwaves on CBS. Andrew Catalon handles play-by-play with former NFL running back Tiki Barber and Jason McCourty serving as Catalon's co-analysts in the booth. AJ Ross reports from the sidelines.

Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (7-2) attempt to get their third straight win against this week's opponent, Calvin Ridley and the Tennessee Titans (2-7), on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Vikings own one of the NFC's three wild card spots while the Titans are basically out of the playoff picture, barring a miracle. The Vikings beat the Jaguars 12-7 last week despite the fact that Minnesota had ZERO offensive touchdowns (four John Parker Romo field goals turned out to be the difference). Vikings WR Aaron Jones had 101 scrimmage yards (88 rush, 13 rec.) in Week 10 vs. the Jaguars. Vikings CB Camryn Bynum picked up his career high third interception last week vs. the Jaguars. The Titans missed out on a victory last week, losing 27-17 to the Chargers. Titans RB Tyjae Spears led the team with season-high 47 rush yards last week vs. the Chargers. Titans RB Tony Pollard aims for 7th in a row with 60+ scrimmage yards. 🎙 This week's Vikings-Titans broadcast team on CBS has Spero Dedes calling play-by-play, former NFL safety Adam Archuleta analyzing the action, & Aditi Kinkhabwala functioning as a sideline reporter.

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) take the field against Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins (3-6) on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Unfortunately, time is quickly running out for Las Vegas and Miami to keep their postseason hopes alive. A couple of weeks ago, the Raiders lost to Bengals 41-24 over in Cincinnati (prior to the team's bye last week). Raiders RB Zamir White had his first rushing touchdown of the season in Week 9 vs. the Bengals. Raiders TE Brock Bowers (rookie) had 5 catches for 45 yards & TD in Week 9 vs. the Bengals. The Dolphins are feeling great after Monday's surprising win over the Rams, 23-15, on "Monday Night Football". Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa completed 20 of 28 attempts (71.4%) for 207 yards & TD last week vs. the Rams. Dolphins DE Calais Campbell had 2 pass deflections and third sack of the season in Week #10. 🎙 Play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy, analyst and former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker, analyst and former NFL kicker Jason Feely and sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon will have Sunday's Raiders-Dolphins call on CBS.

The CBS doubleheader continues at 4:25 PM ET as the entire nation will see Taron Johnson and the AFC East leading Buffalo Bills (8-2) welcome Travis Kelce and the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) to town. 🎙 Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson will broadcast Sunday's highly anticipated top-tier Chiefs-Bills AFC clash.
