The network will present a comprehensive lineup of games this weekend, featuring a total of seven regionalized games. In the late window at 4:05 PM ET, the following games will take place: the Broncos will face the Colts, and the Panthers will compete against the Cardinals. Which game will your local CBS station broadcast, and who will be calling the games this Sunday? Let's find out together in this week's NFL on CBS: Field Pass.
As per usual, CBS starts its NFL coverage with "The NFL Today", live from New York City at 12:00 PM ET. Veteran sportscaster James Brown hosts the one-hour program, alongside analysts Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, and Bill Cowher. Insider Jonathan Jones joins the show to provide news and notes from around the league, leading up to early afternoon kickoffs. This week, "The NFL Today" crew previews the Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl rematch, and analyst Matt Ryan chats with Rams QB Matthew Stafford ahead of the Rams' road game at the Titans.
AFC East rivals in the Buffalo Bills (1-0) and New York Jets (0-1) reunite in the swamps of Jersey. This game kicks off on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Bills erased a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit and won for the first time since 1967 during their 41-40 thriller with the Ravens last week on "Sunday Night Football". Jets QB Justin Fields accounted for three tuddies (one passing, two rushing) in the Jets' 34-32 loss to the Steelers last week. 🎤 Sunday's Bills at Jets game will be called by play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, analyst and former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and veteran sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.
Two clubs that met in Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta roughly a quarter of a century ago clash again as Quentin Lake and the Los Angeles Rams (1-0) tussle with 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans (0-1) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Rams opened the season at home last week, defeating the Texans 14-9. Rams WR Puka Nacua caught 10 balls for 130 yards in the victorious effort. Plus, the Rams' defense held Houston to just three field goals during the matchup. Tennessee tries to avoid a 0-2 start after last week's loss in Denver. Titans QB Cam Ward made his NFL debut last week vs. the Broncos, going 12-28 for 112 yards in the Titans' 20-12 loss at Empower Field at Mile High. Tennessee had four takeaways during the Broncos game, one during every quarter of the matchup. Titans K Joey Slye successfully scored all of Tennessee's points last week via four field goals. 🎤 In the booth, play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle and analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year winner JJ Watt describe the action, with Evan Washburn reporting from the sidelines.
Two winless teams try for their first win of this young season in Week #2 as Stefon Diggs and the New England Patriots (0-1) collide with Tua Tagovalioa and the Miami Dolphins (0-1) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Patriots play their first road game of the season after dropping their home opener, 20-13, last week against the Las Vegas Raiders. Miami, on the other hand, looks to rebound following an ugly showing last week in Indianapolis, getting annihilated by a final score of 33-8. The Patriots look to snap a four-game losing streak to the Dolphins during this week's game. The Dolphins open their 2025 home schedule vs. the Patriots this week. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovalioa has won each of his first seven starts vs. the Patriots. 🎤 The upcoming game between the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins, scheduled for Sunday, will feature play-by-play commentator Andrew Catalon, alongside analysts Jason McCourty, a Super Bowl champion, and Charles Davis. Additionally, reporter AJ Ross will be providing coverage of the event.
Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns (0-1) participate in AFC North play against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (0-1) on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. In Week #1, the Browns lost to the Bengals 17-16. Baltimore, of course, is coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Bills last week, where the Ravens blew a 15-point fourth-quarter lead to lose the game 41-40. The Browns have gone 29 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL. In 14 career games played vs. the Ravens, Browns DE Myles Garrett has 8.5 sacks. Since 2018, when two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson assumed the Ravens' starting quarterback job, the Ravens have qualified for the postseason six times and have posted a 70-25 regular-season record. All-time, Baltimore is 20-9 in home openers. Sunday marks the home opener for the Ravens in their 30th anniversary season. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Tom McCarthy, analyst and NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker, and sideline reporter Amanda Balionis have the call for Sunday's Browns at Ravens matchup on CBS.
A pivotal early-season AFC matchup is the storyline at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati this week, as Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) take on Jordan Battle and the Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Both teams look to start 2-0 for the first time since the 2018 season. The Jaguars looked solid last week vs. the Panthers, cruising to a 26-10 victory at EverBank Stadium. The Bengals began the season by securing a win against their in-state rival, the Browns, with a score of 17-16 last week. Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. ranked second in the NFL with 156 scrimmage yards (143 rushing, 13 receiving) in Week #1. Bengals QB Joe Burrow passed for 2,338 yards (292.3 per game) and 23 touchdowns with a 111.6 rating in 8 home starts last season, including at least three touchdown passes and a passer rating of 110-or-higher in each of his final four home starts. 🎤 Chris Lewis (play-by-play), two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan (analyst), & Tiffany Blackmon (reporter) provide commentary.
Patrick Surtain II and the Denver Broncos (1-0) look for their first 2-0 start since 2021 as they face Nick Cross and the Indianapolis Colts (1-0), seeking their first 2-0 record since the 2009 season, on Sunday, September 14, at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. The Broncos kicked off their regular season with a 20-12 victory over the Titans at home last week. Indianapolis, meanwhile, dominated the Dolphins 33-8 on opening weekend. After leading the NFL with 63 sacks last season, the Broncos' defense recorded a league-high six sacks and allowed a league-low 133 total yards of offense in Week #1. Last week's win over the Dolphins was the first time in 12 years that the Colts won a game during the first weekend of the season. Plus, the Colts scored on all seven of their offensive possessions, becoming the first team in at least 47 years to score on every offensive possession of a game. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan is joined by analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and reporter Melanie Collins for Sunday's Broncos vs. Colts game on CBS.
Jaycee Horn and the Carolina Panthers (0-1) travel to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for this NFC battle vs. Budda Baker and the Arizona Cardinals (1-0) on Sunday, September 14, at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. Last week, the Panthers fell short in their season opener, losing 26-10 to the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Arizona began its 2025 campaign with a 20-13 win in New Orleans last week. The last time that Carolina & Arizona met was last December, where Carolina picked up a 36-30 overtime victory over Arizona. Carolina has beaten Arizona in five of the past six regular-season encounters. Panthers QB Bryce Young totaled 194 yards (154 pass, 40 rush) & a TD pass in Week 1 vs. the Jaguars. Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. had 5 catches for a team-high 71 yards & his 9th career receiving touchdown in Week 1 vs. the Saints. 🎤 Sunday's Panthers vs. Cardinals game on CBS features Spero Dedes (play-by-play), former NFL safety Adam Archuleta (analyst), & Aditi Kinkhabwala (reporter) on the broadcast call.
