  • For the first time this season, CBS will air "regional" coverage as local CBS stations will receive a game at either 1:00 PM ET or 4:05 PM ET (check this article or your local listings for more details).
  • "The NFL Today" is back in the New York studios following an on-site program last week (12:00 PM ET).
  • Divisional Duel In The Big Apple: Dion Dawkins and the Buffalo Bills (1-0) visit Garrett Wilson and the New York Jets (0-1) in an early-season AFC East matchup on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS.
  • A Pair of Perfect Squads: Two AFC teams put their 1-0 records on the line this Sunday in Cincinnati when Travis Hunter and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) play Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS.
  • Early Season Test From Indianapolis: A 2-0 record is on the line in this late-afternoon AFC showdown as Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos (1-0) face DeForest Buckner and the Indianapolis Colts (1-0) on Sunday, September 14 at 4:05 PM ET on CBS.

With the opening weekend of the 2025 NFL Season now behind us, the NFL on CBS continues its 2025 regular season coverage this Sunday, September 14, with regional action during Week #2 of the regular season. The network will present a comprehensive lineup of games this weekend, featuring a total of seven regionalized games. In the early window (1:00 PM ET), we have Bills-Jets, Rams-Titans, Patriots-Dolphins, Browns-Ravens, & Jaguars-Bengals. In the late window at 4:05 PM ET, the following games will take place: the Broncos will face the Colts, and the Panthers will compete against the Cardinals. Which game will your local CBS station broadcast, and who will be calling the games this Sunday? Let's find out together in this week's NFL on CBS: Field Pass.

As per usual, CBS starts its NFL coverage with "The NFL Today", live from New York City at 12:00 PM ET. Veteran sportscaster James Brown hosts the one-hour program, alongside analysts Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, and Bill Cowher. Insider Jonathan Jones joins the show to provide news and notes from around the league, leading up to early afternoon kickoffs. This week, "The NFL Today" crew previews the Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl rematch, and analyst Matt Ryan chats with Rams QB Matthew Stafford ahead of the Rams' road game at the Titans.

AFC East rivals in the Buffalo Bills (1-0) and New York Jets (0-1) reunite in the swamps of Jersey. This game kicks off on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Bills erased a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit and won for the first time since 1967 during their 41-40 thriller with the Ravens last week on "Sunday Night Football". Jets QB Justin Fields accounted for three tuddies (one passing, two rushing) in the Jets' 34-32 loss to the Steelers last week. 🎤 Sunday's Bills at Jets game will be called by play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, analyst and former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and veteran sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Two clubs that met in Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta roughly a quarter of a century ago clash again as Quentin Lake and the Los Angeles Rams (1-0) tussle with 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans (0-1) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Rams opened the season at home last week, defeating the Texans 14-9. Rams WR Puka Nacua caught 10 balls for 130 yards in the victorious effort. Plus, the Rams' defense held Houston to just three field goals during the matchup. Tennessee tries to avoid a 0-2 start after last week's loss in Denver. Titans QB Cam Ward made his NFL debut last week vs. the Broncos, going 12-28 for 112 yards in the Titans' 20-12 loss at Empower Field at Mile High. Tennessee had four takeaways during the Broncos game, one during every quarter of the matchup. Titans K Joey Slye successfully scored all of Tennessee's points last week via four field goals. ðŸŽ¤ In the booth, play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle and analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year winner JJ Watt describe the action, with Evan Washburn reporting from the sidelines.

Two winless teams try for their first win of this young season in Week #2 as Stefon Diggs and the New England Patriots (0-1) collide with Tua Tagovalioa and the Miami Dolphins (0-1) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Patriots play their first road game of the season after dropping their home opener, 20-13, last week against the Las Vegas Raiders. Miami, on the other hand, looks to rebound following an ugly showing last week in Indianapolis, getting annihilated by a final score of 33-8. The Patriots look to snap a four-game losing streak to the Dolphins during this week's game. The Dolphins open their 2025 home schedule vs. the Patriots this week. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovalioa has won each of his first seven starts vs. the Patriots. 🎤 The upcoming game between the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins, scheduled for Sunday, will feature play-by-play commentator Andrew Catalon, alongside analysts Jason McCourty, a Super Bowl champion, and Charles Davis. Additionally, reporter AJ Ross will be providing coverage of the event.

Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns (0-1) participate in AFC North play against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (0-1) on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. In Week #1, the Browns lost to the Bengals 17-16. Baltimore, of course, is coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Bills last week, where the Ravens blew a 15-point fourth-quarter lead to lose the game 41-40. The Browns have gone 29 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL. In 14 career games played vs. the Ravens, Browns DE Myles Garrett has 8.5 sacks. Since 2018, when two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson assumed the Ravens' starting quarterback job, the Ravens have qualified for the postseason six times and have posted a 70-25 regular-season record. All-time, Baltimore is 20-9 in home openers. Sunday marks the home opener for the Ravens in their 30th anniversary season. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Tom McCarthy, analyst and NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker, and sideline reporter Amanda Balionis have the call for Sunday's Browns at Ravens matchup on CBS.

A pivotal early-season AFC matchup is the storyline at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati this week, as Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) take on Jordan Battle and the Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Both teams look to start 2-0 for the first time since the 2018 season. The Jaguars looked solid last week vs. the Panthers, cruising to a 26-10 victory at EverBank Stadium. The Bengals began the season by securing a win against their in-state rival, the Browns, with a score of 17-16 last week. Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. ranked second in the NFL with 156 scrimmage yards (143 rushing, 13 receiving) in Week #1. Bengals QB Joe Burrow passed for 2,338 yards (292.3 per game) and 23 touchdowns with a 111.6 rating in 8 home starts last season, including at least three touchdown passes and a passer rating of 110-or-higher in each of his final four home starts. ðŸŽ¤ Chris Lewis (play-by-play), two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan (analyst), & Tiffany Blackmon (reporter) provide commentary.

Patrick Surtain II and the Denver Broncos (1-0) look for their first 2-0 start since 2021 as they face Nick Cross and the Indianapolis Colts (1-0), seeking their first 2-0 record since the 2009 season, on Sunday, September 14, at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. The Broncos kicked off their regular season with a 20-12 victory over the Titans at home last week. Indianapolis, meanwhile, dominated the Dolphins 33-8 on opening weekend. After leading the NFL with 63 sacks last season, the Broncos' defense recorded a league-high six sacks and allowed a league-low 133 total yards of offense in Week #1. Last week's win over the Dolphins was the first time in 12 years that the Colts won a game during the first weekend of the season. Plus, the Colts scored on all seven of their offensive possessions, becoming the first team in at least 47 years to score on every offensive possession of a game. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan is joined by analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and reporter Melanie Collins for Sunday's Broncos vs. Colts game on CBS.

Jaycee Horn and the Carolina Panthers (0-1) travel to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for this NFC battle vs. Budda Baker and the Arizona Cardinals (1-0) on Sunday, September 14, at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. Last week, the Panthers fell short in their season opener, losing 26-10 to the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Arizona began its 2025 campaign with a 20-13 win in New Orleans last week. The last time that Carolina & Arizona met was last December, where Carolina picked up a 36-30 overtime victory over Arizona. Carolina has beaten Arizona in five of the past six regular-season encounters. Panthers QB Bryce Young totaled 194 yards (154 pass, 40 rush) & a TD pass in Week 1 vs. the Jaguars. Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. had 5 catches for a team-high 71 yards & his 9th career receiving touchdown in Week 1 vs. the Saints. 🎤 Sunday's Panthers vs. Cardinals game on CBS features Spero Dedes (play-by-play), former NFL safety Adam Archuleta (analyst), & Aditi Kinkhabwala (reporter) on the broadcast call.

MLB on Fox — On Deck | A pair of NL East clubs meet in a special edition of "Baseball Night in America" as Juan Soto and the New York Mets take on Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies [or Royals vs. Guardians] | Thursday, September 11 at 7:00 PM ET

| 🔸Monday, September 8, 2025

This week's "MLB on Fox: On Deck" highlights include:
  • "Baseball Night in America" airs a special edition this Thursday (September 11) with two divisional matchups on Fox. Mets vs. Phillies and Royals vs. Guardians, with live coverage starting at 7:00 PM ET.
  • The two best teams in the National League East battle it out as Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets square off against Brandon Marsh and the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 PM ET.
  • A pivotal American League Central contest in Cleveland when Kyle Isbel and the Kansas City Royals play Steven Kwan and the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 PM ET.

There are two and a half weeks left in the 2025 Major League Baseball season. You can feel the rush of trying to chase down a postseason spot. On Thursday, September 11Fox is scheduled to regionalize and televise a pair of divisional clashes that will influence the postseason picture. Most of the country will see the Mets vs. Phillies contest, while others will get the Royals vs. Guardians game. Coverage of Thursday's "Baseball Night in America" will start at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Read on to find out which game your local Fox station will be televising come Thursday evening.

I will also mention that Thursday marks 24 years since the tragic September 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in four coordinated attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, & Shanksville, Pennsylvania (80 miles SE of Pittsburgh). My thoughts and prayers are with the 9/11 victims and their families! NEVER FORGET! ⚑

As tough as it is to divert focus back to baseball following that previous paragraph, let us dive into Thursday's MLB on Fox slate.

Brandon Nimmo and the New York Mets wrap up a four-game series vs. Max Kepler and the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Time is quickly running out for the Mets if they want to catch the Phillies for the top spot in the National League East. The Mets currently lead the season series, 7-5. Nevertheless, Philadelphia maintains a substantial advantage over New York in the race for the National League East title, with just two and a half weeks remaining in the regular season. Mets RF Juan Soto is playing well as the regular season winds down. Since August 22, Soto is hitting .386/.545/.807 (1.352 OPS) with seven home runs, 21 RBIs, and, just because he can, nine stolen bases. 🎙 The lead MLB on Fox team of play-by-play commentator Joe Davis, analyst and Hall of Famer John Smoltz, and Emmy-winning reporter Ken Rosenthal will be on the call.

Two AL Central squads that are chasing down a Wild Card spot take the field against each other as Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals meet José Ramirez and the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. As I mentioned above, this series has massive playoff implications for both clubs. The Guardians lead the season series 7-5 heading into Thursday's final head-to-head meeting of the regular season. With the AL Central basically out of reach, both teams turn their focus towards the Wild Card hunt. Unfortunately, both teams have little room for error over the final two weeks of the season. With Julio Rodriguez and the Seattle Mariners (the team that has the final AL Wild Card spot) on a four-game winning streak, both the Guardians and the Royals find themselves in a must-win situation to keep their hopes alive for the postseason. Guardians 3B José Ramírez has been playing for the Cleveland franchise since 2013. Now in his 13th MLB season, Ramírez has plenty left in the tank. This season, José leads the team in home runs with 28. 🎤 Adam Amin (play-by-play) and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski (analyst) will provide commentary.

The NFL is finally back, and so is the NFL on Fox, kicking off its 32nd season! This Sunday, September 7, Fox will provide comprehensive coverage of Week 1, featuring an exciting lineup of divisional rivalries, the debuts of several 2025 NFL Draft picks, and the start of the regular season.

Fox will regionally televise games across the country during this single-header weekend. In the early 1:00 PM ET window, you can catch the following matchups: Giants at Commanders, Buccaneers at Falcons, Bengals at Browns, and Panthers at Jaguars. In the late 4:05 PM ET window, tune in for the 49ers at Seahawks and the Titans at the Broncos.

Pregame coverage begins at 11:00 AM ET on Fox with the season premiere of "Fox NFL Kickoff". Veteran host Charissa Thompson anchors the one-hour program from Los Angeles, joined by Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. Additionally, contributors Colin Cowherd and Cooper Manning will provide features for the program. "Fox NFL Kickoff" offers a preview of the day's NFL action, including interviews with NFL newsmakers, reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, and updates.

Then, stay tuned for the 32nd season premiere of "Fox NFL Sunday" — America's most-watched pregame program since the series' 1994 debut — at 12:00 PM ET on Fox. Once again, "Fox NFL Sunday" is led by co-hosts Curt Menefee and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw. Malik Nabers and the New York Giants duel with 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in this 2025 season opener featuring NFC East clubs on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Last season, the Giants finished with a poor 3-14 record (which was tied with the Browns & Titans for the worst record in the league). A season ago, Washington had a Cinderella season, going 12-5 and advancing all the way to the NFC Championship Game, before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Giants WR Malik Nabers had a solid rookie season for New York in 2024, hauling in 109 passes for 1,204 yards and collecting seven touchdowns. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels threw for 25 touchdowns against nine interceptions in 2024, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year and leading Washington to its first NFC Championship Game appearance since the 1991 season. 🎤 Sunday's Giants at Commanders game on Fox features the lead broadcast team of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter), & Tom Rinaldi (reporter).

Lavonte David and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to kick off the 2025 season with an NFC South matchup against Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons. This game will take place on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time and will be broadcast on Fox. Last year, Tampa Bay won its fourth straight NFC South title with a 10-7 record. Tampa Bay would lose to Washington in the Wild Card Round. In 2024, the Falcons finished the season with an 8-9 record, which saw the team on the outside looking in as far as the NFC playoff picture was concerned. Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is tied with Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history with 11. If Evans compiles at least 1,000 yards this season, he will have the record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history. In 3 career starts, Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. has 4 TDs (3 pass, 1 rush). 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, who is starting his 32nd season covering NFL on Fox games (and is the only remaining pxp person from the inaugural NFL on Fox season in 1994), works alongside analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma for the sixth straight season. Megan Olivi is now in her second full season as an NFL sideline reporter.

Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals start their season with the "Battle of Ohio" vs. 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Despite a five-game winning streak to end last season, the Bengals just missed the postseason with a 9-8 record. Cincinnati has not made the postseason since the 2022 season. The Browns look to improve following a forgettable 3-14 season in 2024. The Bengals are once again led by two-time QB Joe Burrow. In 2024, Burrow set single-season Bengals records in completions (460), passing yards (4,918), and touchdown passes (43). Browns TE David Njoku led the team with five receiving touchdowns last season. 🎤 Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) is paired alongside analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston and reporter Allison Williams, making her NFL sideline reporter debut (replacing Laura Okmin, who left Fox following the 2024 season).

Jaycee Horn and the Carolina Panthers travel to Jacksonville to get the 2025 season underway against 2025 No. 2 overall draft pick Travis Hunter (expected to make his NFL debut) and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. The Panthers are coming off a rough 2024, going 5-12 and missing the postseason. The Jaguars want to move on from their disappointing 2024 season, as the team finished with a 4-13 record. After a career season in 2024, the Panthers rewarded CB Jaycee Horn with a 4-year, $100 million deal, which made him the highest-paid defensive back in the NFL at the time. Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen, who starts his fifth season as a team captain, is just 2.5 sacks away from becoming the new all-time sacks leader in Jaguars history. Hines-Allen has 53 sacks as the 2025 season opens up. 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Chris Myers, game analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth, and veteran reporter Jen Hale will call the Panthers vs. Jaguars game for Fox on Sunday.

Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers compete in an NFC West opening week game against Julian Love and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 7, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox. Following a Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs in 2023, San Francisco crumbled in 2024, going 6-11 and finishing well short of expectations. Meanwhile, the Seahawks played well in 2024, going 10-7, but didn't make the postseason due to losing the NFC West tiebreaker to the Rams. Since entering the NFL in 2018, 49ers LB Fred Warner has racked up 10 sacks, 10 INT's and 15 FF's, making him one of two players to put up 10 or more sacks, 10 or more interceptions, and 15 or more forced fumbles during this time period (LB Shaquille Leonard [formerly went by Darius as his first name] - 16.0 sacks, 12 INT's, 17 FFs). Seahawks DE Leonard Williams (11 sacks last year) became the first Seahawks player with double-digit sacks since Frank Clark and Jarren Reed in 2018. 🎤 Multi-sport play-by-play commentator Joe Davis teams up with analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen in the booth, with veteran reporter Pam Oliver roaming the sidelines.

Amani Hooker and the Tennessee Titans kick off their regular season against Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 7, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox. The Titans had an embarrassing campaign in 2024, going 3-14. Meanwhile, the Broncos surprised plenty of football experts last season, finishing with a 10-7 record and making the playoffs for the first time since 2015. The Broncos were ousted by the Bills in the Wild Card Game. Titans QB Cam Ward (rookie) became the first No. 1 overall pick by the Titans/Oilers franchise since legendary RB Earl Campbell was drafted No. 1 overall pick by the then-Houston Oilers in 1978. Broncos QB Bo Nix begins his second campaign as the Broncos' QB1. Last year, Nix played in all 17 regular-season games for the Broncos. Nix passed for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. ðŸŽ™ The game, which is slated for a 4:05 PM ET start on Fox, has Adam Amin (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez (analyst), & Kristina Pink (reporter) on the call.
