2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Conference Semifinals Television Schedule and Announcers

* The second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs begins Tuesday night with a doubleheader on ESPN -- Panthers vs. Maple Leafs, Game 1 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) followed by Kraken vs. Stars, Game 1 (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)

* ESPN, TBS and TNT to televise second-round matchups

What a wild beginning to these Stanley Cup Playoffs! Following the first round action (spread out over these last couple of weeks), we are now ready to advance and begin Round 2 of the playoffs, starting tonight (Tuesday, May 2).

ESPN will televise a doubleheader tonight (Tuesday, May 2), to open up the Second Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. 

Tuesday's ESPN doubleheader begins in Toronto where the surprising Florida Panthers, coming off a historic and stunning 3-1 series deficit comeback victory over Boston thus ending their historic year, clash with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who advance beyond the opening round for the first time since 2004, in Game 1 of their series at 7 p.m. (ET). Veteran ESPN commentator Steve Levy will have the call alongside analyst AJ Mleczko, with reporting from Dominic Moore.

Following that contest, the Seattle Kraken -- in just their second season of existence -- march on to battle Jason Robertson and the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals at 9:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN. Bob Wischusen will provide on-site commentary from American Airlines Center in Dallas. Joining Wischusen on the broadcast is analyst Brian Boucher and reporter Leah Hextall.

Then, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3, ESPN returns to televise two more Semifinal Game 1's, beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).

Wednesday's coverage on ESPN commences in Raleigh, North Carolina where Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils, fresh off their Game 7 shutout win over the Rangers in the first round, come to visit Brent Burns and the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of a best-of-seven series. Game 1 of the Devils-Hurricanes is set for 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN. Game 1 of the New Jersey-Carolina series features ESPN's lead NHL broadcast team -- Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Ray Ferraro (analyst) & Emily Kaplan (reporter) on the call.

Wednesday's coverage on ESPN continues from Las Vegas, Nevada and T-Mobile Arena. At 9:30 p.m. (ET), Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers face off with Jack Eichel and the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Wischusen, Boucher and reporter Linda Cohn provide commentary from Las Vegas.

The second round then continues Thursday on TNT -- Panthers vs. Maple Leafs (Game 2) at 7 p.m. (ET) & Kraken vs. Stars (Game 2) at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Anyways, the Conference Semifinals portion of the 2023 NBA Playoffs officially kicks off this weekend, and we are here to help you guide through the second round.

The Conference Semifinal round opens up on Saturday, April 29, as Kevin Durant and the (#4 seed) Phoenix Suns visit Jamal Murray and the (#1 seed) Denver Nuggets to begin the Western Conference Semifinal series between these teams. Spero Dedes (play-by-play), Grant Hill (analyst) and Stephanie Ready (reporter) will provide commentary from Denver, Colorado.

Then, on Sunday, April 30, the Eastern Conference Semifinals begins at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat -- coming off a stunning upset over Milwaukee in Round 1 -- battle Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks in Game 1 of a Eastern Conference best-of-seven semifinal. The Knicks appear in the Conference Semifinals for the first time since the 2012-13 season. The Heat-Knicks game will be televised on ABC at 1 p.m. (ET), with play-by-play commentator Mark Jones, analyst Doris Burke & sideline reporter Cassidy Hubbarth comprising the broadcast team.

Conference Semifinal action continues on Monday, May 1, with a TNT doubleheader. Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers will take on Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. (ET) in Game 1 of the best-of-seven Semifinal series.
