  • Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers vs. Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final, with each game airing in primetime
  • "The Point" serves as a nightly lead-in show to each Stanley Cup Final game

The 2024 Stanley Cup Final will begin on Saturday, June 8, with Game 1 of the series between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers. The game will start at 8:00 PM (ET), exclusively on ABC. ABC will exclusively televise every single game of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.

The Florida Panthers, led by Matthew Tkachuk, find themselves playing for the Stanley Cup for the second straight season, becoming the third NHL team to knock out the Presidents' Trophy winner in consecutive postseasons (Bruins in 2023 and Rangers in 2024) as they strive for the franchise's first-ever championship. Vladimir Tarasenko made some good history, being the second active skater and 10th player in the expansion era to score multiple series-clinching goals in the Conference Finals. Having swept Edmonton in the regular season, the Panthers look to continue this dominance over the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Edmonton Oilers look for their first Stanley Cup championship since 1990. Finally, Connor McDavid - the league's leading scorer in five of the past eight years - gets to make his first Stanley Cup Final appearance in the city he officially became an Oiler during the 2015 NHL Draft in Sunrise, Florida (where the Panthers play their games). The Oilers can also make league history by the becoming the first Canadian team to hoist the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadiens did it back in 1993.

Sean McDonough will provide commentary, with analyst Ray Ferraro and reporter Emily Kaplan from Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida and Rogers Arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a lead-in to the Stanley Cup Final games, the studio team of Steve Levy, Mark Messier and P.K. Subban preview the action on-site on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN+.

ESPN's NHL studio show, The Point, will be produced from Sunrise, Florida for Game 1, and will air daily on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

2024 College Football on CBS Schedule

  • Schedule is led by first-rate 3:30 PM, ET Big Ten matchup every Saturday afternoon, plus Mountain West and Service Academy Games, along with Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday, December 7 (8:00 PM, ET).
  • CBS Sports' Weeks 1-4 Schedule:
- Saturday, August 31 (Week 1): Akron-Ohio State (3:30 PM ET) & UCLA-Hawaii (7:30 PM ET)
- Saturday, September 7 (Week 2): Iowa State-Iowa (3:30 PM ET)
- Saturday, September 14 (Week 3): Notre Dame-Purdue (3:30 PM ET) & Colorado-Colorado State (7:30 PM ET)
- Saturday, September 21 (Week 4): USC-Michigan (3:30 PM ET)

With the 2024 college football 🏈 season slowly approaching, CBS Sports has officially disclosed their college football schedule for the upcoming 2024 season. In fact, we have CBS' schedule for the first four weeks (August 31 - September 21).

The schedule includes 23 games overall and starts off with a Saturday doubleheader on Saturday, August 31 as Ohio State hosts Akron (3:30 PM ET), followed by UCLA visiting Hawaii (7:30 PM ET). The next week, Saturday, September 7, Iowa State visits Iowa (3:30 PM ET) at Kinnick Stadium, for the annual Cy-Hawk rivalry game that was first played back in 1894.

A pair of in-state matchups highlight CBS' Week 3 schedule on Saturday, September 14, with Colorado-Colorado State in primetime (7:30 PM ET) following the previously announced 3:30 PM ET Notre Dame-Purdue game. The following weekend, Saturday, September 21, a clash of two of the most iconic and recognizable brands in college football 🏈, as national champion Michigan hosts USC. This will signal USC's first road game against a Big Ten opponent (remember, USC is new to the Big Ten for the 2024 season).

2024 marks the first time that CBS Sports will carry a full season's worth of Big Ten games during the traditional 3:30 PM ET window for the station. Of course, the Big Ten package replaced the longstanding SEC package that CBS has held for decades, with the rights to the conference now going to ABC/ESPN, forcing CBS to move on and pick up Big Ten games instead. For the first time, CBS will carry the Big Ten Championship Game from Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, December 7 at 8:00 PM ET.

Additional broadcast highlights for 2024 include:
  • Marquee Big Ten matchups every Saturday afternoon, starting at 3:30 PM ET, which (beginning in Week 5 on Saturday, September 28) will be announced via a six-day or 12-day selection process.
  • All three Commander-in-Chief's trophy games -- Navy-Air Force (Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 PM ET), Air Force-Army (Saturday, November 2 at 12:00 PM ET) & the 125th Army-Navy game (Saturday, December 14 at 3:00 PM ET).
  • A post Thanksgiving doubleheader on Friday, November 29 featuring the Minnesota-Wisconsin border battle for "Paul Bunyan's Axe" (12:00 PM ET), followed by Stanford-San Jose State at 4:00 PM ET).
  • The 91st edition of the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, kicking off at 2:00 PM ET on Tuesday, December 31.

  • For the 22nd straight season, ABC will have the exclusive rights to televise every NBA Finals game.
  • Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame play-by-play commentator Mike Breen will extend his record by calling his 19th consecutive NBA Finals (2006-present); joined by fellow Hall of Famer Doris Burke, analyst JJ Redick and reporter Lisa Salters to create new NBA Finals broadcast team.
  • Host Malika Andrews hosts NBA Countdown pregame show for the first time during the NBA Finals; New York Knicks guard Josh Hart to serve as a guest analyst for Games 1 & 2; Los Angeles Clippers forward/guard Paul George to serve as a guest analyst for Games 3 &4; New York Knicks forward Julius Randle to serve as a guest analyst for Game 5; Expanded four-hour pregame coverage for Game 1 in Boston.

The 2024 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, presented exclusively on ABC, begins on Thursday, June 6, at 8:30 PM (ET) with Game 1 as the Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics - led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown - host the Dallas Mavericks with Luka Dončić and former Celtics guard and current Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving. NBA Finals broadcasts typically start at 8:30 PM (ET), with the exception being for Sunday broadcasts, which will start at 8:00 PM (ET) instead.

Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame commentator Doris Burke makes history for the 2024 NBA Finals as she will become the first women commentator to work a men's professional championship event as a television game analyst. Previously, Burke called the NBA Finals on ESPN Radio for four years (2020-2023) and worked the NBA Finals on ABC as a sideline reporter for eleven years (2009-2019). In all, Burke is set to cover her 16th straight NBA Finals this year in some capacity.

Mike Breen, the current generation voice of the NBA Finals and fellow Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame commentator (like Burke), will extend his record by calling his 19th straight NBA Finals. The last person other than Breen to call the NBA Finals was the legendary sportscaster Al Michaels in 2005 (Pistons vs. Spurs). As of now, Breen has been in the booth for 100 NBA Finals broadcasts.

ESPN NBA analyst JJ Redick, who played in the NBA for 15 years, will join Breen and Burke to formulate the new NBA Finals commentating team. Redick joined the lead broadcast team in February, during the second half of the season. Lisa Salters also joins the team as the sideline reporter, working her fourth Finals (2006, 2022-present).

Expanded NBA Finals Studio Coverage, Josh Hart to serve as a guest analyst for Games 1 & 2, Paul George to serve as a guest analyst for Games 3 & 4, Julius Randle to serve as a guest analyst for Game 5

Malika Andrews, host of ESPN's NBA Countdown and NBA Today, gets the call to host NBA Countdown presented by DoorDash from the game sites of the NBA Finals for the very first time.
