Highlights of the Week #16 "NFL on Fox: Field Pass" include:
  • A busy weekend for the NFL on Fox as the network presents LIVE Week #16 NFL coverage BOTH on Saturday, Dec. 20 (Special Saturday Doubleheader) and Sunday, Dec. 21 (Singleheader).
  • Seven games on Fox's menu this weekend, including Eagles-Commanders (Saturday), Packers-Bears (Saturday), Chargers-Cowboys (Sunday), Vikings-Giants (Sunday), Buccaneers-Panthers (Sunday), Falcons-Cardinals (Sunday), & Jaguars-Broncos (Sunday).

Hi, guys! Time now for us to go through the Week 16 NFL on Fox: Field Pass article! Each week during the season, you will see one of these articles pop up on this blog discussing and analyzing Fox's NFL broadcast schedule for the weekend ahead. This week, our focus turns to Week 16, which will be a busy one for Fox Sports, as the NFL on Fox is set to air games on BOTH Saturday (December 20) and Sunday (December 21). No, I did not misspeak!

In all, Fox will be responsible for seven NFL game broadcasts over two days. Saturday's doubleheader will be nationally televised, while Fox will be regionally televising games on Sunday afternoon (as CBS will have the only doubleheader on Sunday). On Saturday, Jalen Hurts and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles face off with Jaylin Lane and the Washington Commanders at 5:00 PM ET. Then, Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears host Romeo Doubs and the Green Bay Packers in a crucial division matchup at 8:20 PM ET.

Fox's NFL weekend continues on Sunday with five regional games. In the early slot at 1:00 PM ET, three games will be scheduled — Vikings vs. Giants, Buccaneers vs. Panthers, & Chargers vs. Cowboys. For those of you scheduled for late games only, those games will start at 4:05 PM ET, with the two-game lineup including Jaguars vs. Broncos and Falcons vs. Cardinals

Saturday's NFL on Fox coverage begins with a special one-hour Fox NFL Pregame show at 4:00 PM ET on Fox. The latest NFL news and a look ahead to the upcoming Saturday games. Featuring co-hosts Curt Menefee and Terry Bradshaw, alongside analysts Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan, and Howie Long. Lead NFL on Fox insider Jay Glazer will have exclusive insights from around the league.

DeVonta Smith and the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles (9-5) visit Von Miller and the Washington Commanders (4-10) for a rematch of the 2024 NFC Championship Game on Saturday, December 20 at 5:00 PM ET on Fox. Play-by-play commentator Joe Davis, analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen, and sideline reproter Pam Oliver call the NFC East clash from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. The Eagles prevailed 55-23 in advance to Super Bowl LIX, where they ultimately defeated the Chiefs 40-22. Last week, the Eagles dismantled the Raiders 31-0. The Commanders are 2-4 at home with wins over the Giants (21-6) and Raiders (41-24).

DJ Moore and the NFC North-leading Chicago Bears (10-4) host Matthew Golden and the NFC North rival Green Bay Packers (9-4-1) on Saturday, December 20, at 8:20 PM ET on Fox, featuring the lead NFL on Fox crew of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter), & Tom Rinaldi (reporter). The Bears snatched the division lead back from Green Bay after demolishing the Browns 31-3 in Week 15. Packers DL Micah Parsons will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in a 34-26 loss at Denver.

Sunday's pregame coverage on Fox begins at 11:00 AM ET with Fox NFL Kickoff presented by Little CaesarsCharissa Thompson hosts "Fox NFL Kickoff" alongside three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. "Fox NFL Kickoff" provides the first word on Sunday's games, live reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, interviews with NFL newsmakers, and much more.

Sunday's pregame slate marches forward at 12:00 PM ET with the legendary Fox NFL Sunday presented by GMC pregame show. "Fox NFL Sunday" features co-hosts Curt Menefee and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. Joining Menefee and Bradshaw at the desk are Pro Football Hall of Famers Howie Long and Michael Strahan. Additionally, four-time champion Rob Gronkowski will join the show regularly throughout the season. Lead NFL on Fox insider Jay Glazer rounds out the "Fox NFL Sunday" cast and will add notes and news from around the league as the early game kickoffs approach. "Fox NFL Sunday" offers plenty, including predictions, analysis, and high-profile NFL interviews.

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (10-4) hit the road for a date with Malik Davis and the Dallas Cowboys (6-7-1) on Sunday, December 21, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, with Adam Amin (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion Drew Brees (analyst), & Kristina Pink (sidelines) set for the early afternoon Fox presentation. Dallas won each of the past two meetings of 20-17. Keenan Allen (LAC) turned 11 catches into 193 yards and a touchdown across those two losses.

Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (6-8) bring their first winning streak of 2025 into this Week 16 road game against Abdul Carter (rookie) and the New York Giants (2-12) on Sunday, December 21, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, as play-by-play commentator Kenny Albert is joined by analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi to cover this NFC late-season matchup.

NFC South co-leaders square off at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina when Lavonte David and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7) meet up with Derrick Brown and the Carolina Panthers (7-7) in the first of two pivotal H2H meetings this year to basically decide the NFC South division winner for 2025 on Sunday, December 21, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Chris Myers, three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth, and Jennifer Hale have commentary duties for this important contest from the NFC South.

Two of the playoff contenders get together from Denver as Patrick Surtain II and the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos (12-2) put their 11-game winning streak on the line against Tim Patrick and the Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) on Sunday, December 21, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox, with play-by-play commentator Kevin Kugler and analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston calling the action from the booth, alongside reporter Allison Williams.

Jessie Bates III and the Atlanta Falcons (5-9) visit Jalen Thompson and the Arizona Cardinals (3-11) on Sunday, December 21, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox, as Jason Benetti teams up with Brady Quinn and Sarah Kustok for the late afternoon game from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
