The 2023 MLB Postseason logo. (MLB.com)
  • The Division Series begins on Saturday, October 7 with a full slate (four) of games from the American and National League: Rangers at Orioles, Game 1 (FS1, 1 p.m. ET); Twins at Astros, Game 1 (FS1, 4:30 p.m. ET); Phillies at Braves, Game 1 (TBS, 6 p.m. ET) & Diamondbacks at Dodgers, Game 1 (TBS, 9 p.m. ET)
  • FOX/FS1 to provide exclusive coverage of the ALDS (Rangers/Orioles and Twins/Astros).
  • TBS to provide exclusive coverage of the NLDS (Phillies/Braves and Diamondbacks/Dodgers).

The Division Series is set to start this Saturday, October 7. And, a full Game 1 slate awaits all baseball fans across the country as the postseason officially gets into full swing following a very quick Wild Card Series (all four series ending in two-game sweeps).

The first day of the Division Series starts off with two American League Division Series matchups.

Saturday's slate begins in Baltimore when Cedric Mullins and the AL's top seed, Baltimore Orioles host Marcus Semien and the #5 seed, the Texas Rangers, in the opener of a best-of-five series to determine which squad will advance to the ALCS. The game will begin at 1:00 PM (ET) on FS1, and will be announced by FOX's lead MLB broadcasting crew of Joe Davis (play-by-play), John Smoltz (analyst) & Ken Rosenthal (reporter).

Once the Rangers-Orioles game is over, Houston takes center stage as Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros (No. 2 seed) begin their title defense against Carlos Correa and the Minnesota Twins (No. 3 seed), coming off their first postseason series win since 2002 at 4:30 PM (ET) on FS1. Play-by-play announcer Adam Amin, analyst and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski, fellow analyst and 2006 World Series champion Adam Wainwright and reporter Tom Verducci will be on hand in Houston for this first game; plus, this team will work the entire series.

The National League Division Series gets underway at 6:00 PM (ET) on TBS with a re-match of last year's NLDS. History-maker Ronald Acuña Jr., 2023 MLB home run leader Matt Olsen, and the Atlanta Braves will host Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and the 2022 NL pennant-winning Philadelphia Phillies in Game 1 of a series featuring a couple of teams from the NL East. Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Jeff Francoeur (analyst) provide commentary for the series, with Matt Winer reporting from the field.

Later on at 9:00 PM (ET), Christian Walker and the Arizona Diamondbacks (making their first NLDS appearance since 2017; coincidentally, against the Dodgers as well) take on MVP candidate Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS featuring two NL West teams. Bob Costas (play-by-play) and Ron Darling (analyst) narrate the action from Los Angeles, with Lauren Shehadi handling on-field reporting.

The Division Series continues on Sunday, October 8, with a pair of Game 2's: Rangers vs. Orioles at 4:00 PM (ET) on FS1 followed by Twins vs. Astros at 8:00 PM (ET) on FS1.

Tuesday's Wild Card Series action begins at 3 p.m. (ET) on ABC with Game 1 of the series in the American League, as Marcus Semien and the Texas Rangers (No. 5 seed) visit Wander Franco and the Tampa Bay Rays (No. 4 seed), from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The winner of this Wild Card Series will face off with Cedric Mullins and the No. 1 seed Baltimore Orioles in the ALDS. Longtime play-by-play commentator Sean McDonough will provide commentary, with analysts Jessica Mendoza and Tim Kurkjian, alongside reporter Coley Harvey. McDonough, Mendoza, Kurkjian & Harvey will be on the call for the entire Texas-Tampa Bay Wild Card series, including Game 2 & Game 3, if needed.

Later that afternoon, Carlos Correa and the AL Central champion Minnesota Twins (No. 3 seed) host Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays (No. 6 seed) in Game 1 of their best-of-three series from Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The winner faces Mookie Betts and the No. 2 seed Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS and the loser's postseason is done. The game, which will start at 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2, features Jon "Boog" Sciambi (play-by-play), Doug Glanville (analyst) & Jesse Rogers (reporter) on hand to describe the action. Sciambi, Glanville & Rogers will also cover Game 2 & if necessary, Game 3 of this particular series.

The final Wild Card Series begins on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. (ET) on ESPN, when Bryson Stott and the Philadelphia Phillies (No. 4 seed) hosts Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Miami Marlins (No. 5 seed) for the opening game of this best-of-three series to determine which team faces off with Ronald Acuna Jr. and the NL's top seed, the Atlanta Braves, in the NLDS.
