• #7 vs. #8: Tuesday night's Play-in slate has Cavaliers @ Nets (7:00 PM ET, TNT) followed Clippers @ Timberwolves (9:30 PM ET, TNT) | Winner of CLE/BKN & SA/MIN will earn #7 seed in respective conference

The NBA's 75th anniversary regular season has come to an end. The 2022 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel will officially commence this upcoming Saturday, April 16. However, there is still some unfinished business to sort out before the main postseason tournament can get underway.

The time has come for the MetaQuest 2022 NBA Play-in Tournament. Beginning on Tuesday, April 12, and lasting through Friday, April 15, the #7 through #10 seeds in the Eastern & Western Conference will each have a opportunity or two to earn a postseason spot in the 2022 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel. To summarize, 6 games will be played on three separate nights to determine the final 16-team postseason field for the NBA Playoffs.

The Play-in Tournament will kick off this Tuesday night (April 12) with a doubleheader, exclusively on TNT. In Game #1, Evan Mobley and the No. 8 seed Cleveland Cavaliers visit Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. to square off with the lethal tandem of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and the No. 7 seed Brooklyn Nets at 7:00 PM (ET). The winner of the Cavaliers/Nets game will earn the #7 seed and will play the #2 seed Boston Celtics in the first round. The loser of the Cavaliers/Nets game will play the 9/10 winner on Friday night.

In Game #2 on Tuesday night, Reggie Jackson and the No. 8 seed LA Clippers visit Karl-Anthony Towns and the No. 7 seed Minnesota Timberwolves at 9:30 PM (ET) on TNT. The team that comes out of Tuesday's game victorious will grab the #7 seed and will play the #2 seed Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. The loser of the Clippers/Timberwolves game will play the 9/10 winner on Friday night.

The Play-in Tournament continues on Wednesday (April 13) with another doubleheader, exclusively on ESPN. In Game #3 of the play-in tournament (Game 1 of the night), LaMelo Ball and the No. 10 seed Charlotte Hornets take on Trae Young and the No. 9 seed Atlanta Hawks at 7:00 PM (ET) on ESPN. The winner of Hawks-Hornets advances to play the Cleveland-Brooklyn loser on Friday night. The loser of Hornets-Hawks is eliminated.

In Game #4 of the play-in tournament (Game 2 of the night), Josh Richardson and the No. 10 seed San Antonio Spurs battle CJ McCollum and the No. 9 seed New Orleans Pelicans at 9:30 PM (ET) on ESPN. The winner of Spurs-Pelicans plays the Clippers-Timberwolves loser on Friday night. The loser of Spurs-Pelicans is eliminated.

Then, on Friday night (April 15), the final two Play-in games will take place. Call Friday night "the No. 8 seed" night. ESPN will televise the East 8th Place Game in the early window (7:30 PM ET) -- Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks vs. Jarrett Allen and the Cleveland Cavaliers; while TNT will televise the West 8th Place Game in the late window (10:00 PM ET) -- Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans vs. Terance Mann and the LA Clippers.

Welcome to the start of the 2022 NBA Playoffs! Of course, the NBA Playoffs is the pinnacle of the basketball season as 16 teams battle for the Larry O'Brien Championship and to be crowned the next NBA champion.

Following the MetaQuest Play-in Tournament earlier this week, the time has now come for the actual postseason to start. The 2022 NBA Playoffs will officially get started on Saturday, April 16 with a full slate games on ESPN and ABC. The first round will feature four series in each conference. Those series will be contested in a best-of-7 format, meaning the team that is first to four wins in a series is deemed the winner.

The playoffs start on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN as Donovan Mitchell and the West's #5 seed Utah Jazz, visit Jalen Brunson and the Dallas Mavericks in the opening game of this 4-5 series in the West. Beth Mowins (who becomes ESPN's first-ever female play-by-play commentator to call a playoff game) is on the call from Dallas with analyst Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Monica McNutt.

Later that day, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, two young quasars lead their respective teams into the battle. Anthony Edwards and the upstart #7 seed in the West, Minnesota Timberwolves, enter enemy territory to play young phenom Ja Morant, and #2 seed in the West, the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1. The Timberwolves-Grizzlies is the 2-7 series in the West. Ryan Ruocco will provide commentary, with analyst Richard Jefferson and Rosalyn Gold-Onwude providing sideline reports.

Saturday's Game 1 lineup continues at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, when Scottie Barnes and the Toronto Raptors come to Philadelphia to play James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers in the first game of that series. The Raptors-76ers series is the 4-5 series in the East. Play-by-play commentator Dave Pasch will call Game 1 of Raptors-76ers, with analyst and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Hubie Brown, plus sideline reporter Cassidy Hubbarth.

Saturday's Game 1 lineup finishes up in primetime on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET as Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets travel to San Francisco to start the 3-6 Western series with Jordan Poole and the Golden State Warriors. The call will be provided by Mark Jones, Doris Burke & Malika Andrews.

The Game 1's continue on Sunday, April 17 (Easter Sunday), with games all day on ABC & TNT.
