Don't look now, but the 2023 MLB season is now quickly approaching! Warner Bros. Discovery Sports (formerly known to many of you as Turner Sports) recently announced its picks for Tuesday night regular season telecasts during the first half of the 2023 MLB regular season. The 2023 schedule is highlighted by number of 2022 MLB Postseason rematches, superstars on new franchises & some of the biggest baseball rivalries at the current moment.
The second season of MLB on TBS Tuesday (16th season overall) debuts with interleague East Division Showdown on Tuesday, April 4th at 7:00 p.m. (ET), featuring the 2022 National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies and their new shortstop Trea Turner traveling to Yankee Stadium to battle 2022 American League MVP Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees.
The 2023 season marks the 50th anniversary of Major League Baseball airing on WBD Sports' networks, dating all the way back to 1973 when games were first televised (originally, of course, Braves games only and then national games later on) on WTCG (now TBS). The partnership with MLB represents one of the longest-active running relationships between a company and a single league.
TBS will televise 26 Tuesday night games during the upcoming 2023 MLB season and will be the exclusive home of the 2023 NLDS and NLCS.
