With the first season of Pac-12 football coverage on USA Sports quickly approaching, the network announced its game and studio commentators for the upcoming 2026 college football season. This roster features commentators who have personal ties to the newly reformed Pac-12 conference.

The commentary teams on USA Network are led by play-by-play commentator Nate Gatter, analyst Ryan Leaf, and sideline reporter Lauren Green. Experienced sports commentator Ted Robinson, who called Pac-12 football for over a decade, is expected to call games regularly alongside former Notre Dame star Darius Walker (analyst) and Dalen Cuff (sideline reporter).

Guy Haberman (play-by-play), who served as either a play-by-play voice or host for Pac-12 Network from 2013-24, currently serves as lead announcer for 49ers’ radio broadcasts and has worked games for NBC Sports, Fox Sports, and the Big Ten Network; former Washington State QB Alex Brink and sideline reporter Kate Harrison will also contribute to USA Sports’ coverage of the Pac-12. Their duties will include calling one game during USA’s Pac-12 tripleheader on Saturday, September 19.

Studio coverage on USA Network during the 2026 season features host Lisa Kerney and analyst Erik Coleman, who played at Washington State and later spent nearly a decade in the NFL. Darius Walker, who will primarily serve as a game analyst, will also serve as a studio analyst for select weeks during the season.

Here are the detailed profiles of USA Sports’ Pac-12 football commentators:

Nate Gatter – Play-by-Play Announcer 

Nate Gatter serves as the lead play-by-play voice for college football on Westwood One, where he also covers select NFL and college basketball games. Additionally, he hosts the pre- and postgame shows for the St. Louis Cardinals on the Cardinals Radio Network. Gatter brings his expertise to ESPN, where he calls college football, soccer, and softball matches. In 2017, he earned the prestigious Jim Nantz Award, recognizing him as the nation’s most outstanding collegiate sportscaster.

Ted Robinson – Play-by-Play Announcer

Ted Robinson served as the lead play-by-play voice for the Pac-12 Network throughout its 12-year history. He also provided radio commentary for San Francisco 49ers games from 2009 to 2018. Robinson boasts extensive experience in Major League Baseball, having called nine seasons of San Francisco Giants games. His impressive resume includes coverage of 15 Olympic Games, where he called events such as speed skating, diving, tennis, swimming, and triathlon. Robinson has established himself as a versatile play-by-play voice across the NFL, MLB, college football and basketball, Olympic sports, and major tennis tournaments including the U.S. Open, Wimbledon, and Roland Garros.

Ryan Leaf – Game Analyst

Ryan Leaf, a Hall of Famer from Washington State, led the Cougars to a remarkable 1997 season, achieving the school’s first 10-win season since 1929 and its first Rose Bowl appearance in 67 years. He garnered the title of 1997 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year and was a Heisman Trophy finalist. Leaf concluded his collegiate career as the Pac-10’s single-season record holder for passing yards and touchdown passes, and he ranks as Washington State’s career leader in touchdown passes. Selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, Leaf co-hosts “The Opening Drive” with Solomon Wilcots on SiriusXM NFL Radio and calls NFL and college football games for Westwood One Sports. He has also served as a college football analyst for The CW, ESPN, and the Pac-12 Network. Drawing upon his personal experiences, Leaf works as a motivational speaker and mentor, offering advice on navigating challenging relationships, particularly in high-pressure environments.

Darius Walker – Game & Studio Analyst

Darius Walker has previously worked as a college football analyst for FOX Sports, TNT, the Mountain West Network, and NBC Sports. During his time at Notre Dame from 2004 to 2006, he set several school records as a running back and ranks fourth in Fighting Irish history for rushing yards. Walker broke Herschel Walker’s high school rushing record in Georgia and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans in 2007.

Lauren Green – Sideline Reporter 

Lauren Green currently serves as a sideline reporter and host for the Utah Jazz, a role she has held since 2024. Previously, she worked as a sideline reporter for the Pac-12 Network and served as a track and field analyst for the Mountain West Sports Network. Green also has experience as a news and sports anchor/reporter at KOB 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and she competed in track at the University of Nevada.

Dalen Cuff – Sideline Reporter

Dalen Cuff has taken on the role of studio analyst for USA Sports’ Atlantic 10 basketball coverage during the 2025-26 season. He has previously worked as a college basketball analyst for ESPN, the ACC Network, and The Field of 68. Cuff played basketball at Columbia University from 2002 to 2006.

Lisa Kerney – Studio Host

Lisa Kerney has hosted studio programming for USA Sports’ Atlantic 10 basketball coverage throughout the 2025-26 season and has been the host of the WNBA on USA Pregame Show this season. Previously, she hosted SportsCenter on ESPN and worked as a host and reporter at MLB Network and FanDuel TV. Kerney is also a former college basketball player at Lynn University.

Erik Coleman – Studio Analyst

Erik Coleman played safety for Washington State from 2000 to 2003 before being drafted in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He enjoyed a nine-year NFL career, which included four seasons with the Jets, three with the Falcons, and two with the Lions. Coleman has contributed as a Jets analyst on SNY for postgame and studio shows and has also served as an analyst on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

NFL on Fox Game Coverage:

1. Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi

NFL on Fox’s lead announcing team once again features play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt with analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. Burkhardt and Brady go into their third season in the broadcast booth in 2026. On the sidelines, Burkhardt and Brady are joined by Erin Andrews, the first woman singularly honored with the Pat Summerall Award, and Tom Rinaldi, a 17-time Emmy Award winner and respected storyteller.

Burkhardt, Brady, Andrews, and Rinaldi begin their 2026 schedule of assignments with America’s Game of the Week in Week 1 on Sunday, September 13 as the Washington Commanders face the Philadelphia Eagles at 4:25 PM ET. AGOTW averaged over 25 million viewers during the 2025 season.

2. Joe Davis, Greg Olsen, Pam Oliver

Emmy Award winner Joe Davis, the lead voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers and MLB on Fox, returns for his fifth full season calling games for the NFL on Fox, pairing up with three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen for the third consecutive year. Pam Oliver, the longest-tenured NFL sideline reporter, again works the sidelines during her 32nd season with Fox Sports. In Week 1, Davis, Olsen, and Oliver will provide commentary for the Atlanta Falcons vs. Pittsburgh Steelers contest.

3. Adam Amin, Drew Brees, Kristina Pink

Multi-sport announcer Adam Amin gets ready to start his seventh season of NFL on Fox play-by-play duties, joined in the broadcast booth by 2026 Pro Football Hall of Famer (and Super Bowl XLIV-winning quarterback) Drew Brees and sideline reporter Kristina Pink. Amin and Brees start their first full season together as teammates. Pink is now in her 14th year at Fox Sports. In Week #1, Amin, Brees, and Pink will be at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte as the Chicago Bears face the Carolina Panthers at 1:00 PM ET on Fox.

4. Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Megan Olivi

Kenny Albert, the last remaining NFL on Fox play-by-play announcer from the network’s inaugural 1994 season, returns for his 33rd consecutive season in 2026. Albert is once again assigned Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowl linebacker Jonathan Vilma for the seventh straight year, after Vilma joined Fox Sports during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Megan Olivi joins Albert and Vilma for her third full NFL season of reporting. The trio goes to Detroit to provide commentary for Saints-Lions in Week 1 on Sunday, September 13 at 1:00 PM ET.

5. Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston, Allison Williams

Kevin Kugler is assigned a regular slate of NFL broadcasts for the seventh consecutive year, working again with three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl “Moose” Johnston, now in his 26th season at the network. Seasoned field reporter Allison Williams tags along for the second straight year. This pairing will be in Cincinnati in Week 1 as the Buccaneers battle the Bengals at 1:00 PM ET.

6. Chris Myers, Mark Schlereth, Jen Hale

Emmy Award-winning commentator, host, and reporter Chris Myers is back for his 26th season at Fox Sports and is joined by analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth and five-time Emmy Award reporter Jen Hale, in her 16th year with Fox Sports. Myers, Schlereth, & Hale kick off their 2026 season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the Dolphins-Raiders game in Week 1 on Sunday, September 13 at 4:25 PM ET on Fox.

NFL on Fox Rules Analysts:

Former NFL Vice Presidents of Officiating Mike Pereira and Dean Blandino return as Fox Sports’ NFL rules analysts, providing insight and experience to every game on the 2026 NFL on Fox schedule.

With 20 years of experience in football officiating, including six years as the NFL’s Vice President of Officiating and 14 years in college football, Pereira is set to return to FOX for his 16th season. 

Blandino joined FOX in 2017 following an 18-year career in the NFL, where he spent four years as Vice President of Officiating. He played a crucial role in implementing system upgrades and embracing technological advancements in league officiating.

Fox NFL Sunday, America’s leading NFL pregame show for 32 consecutive years (the program’s ENTIRE tenure), will return to Fox’s weekly Sunday schedule at 12:00 PM ET/9:00 AM PT, live on Fox. Hey y’all! Welcome in to this week’s MLB on Fox: On Deck article! We have plenty of material to review, so let’s get right into it.

Fox Sports serves up a full plate of baseball action, with four games on the Saturday schedule during a day/night doubleheader on Saturday, August 8. In the afternoon, the Athletics face off against the Red Sox at 4:00 PM ET on FS1. Then, in primetime, the American League Central division race receives national treatment as the Guardians play the White Sox at 7:00 PM ET on Fox (other regional games: Orioles vs. Rangers and Tigers vs. Giants). ● MLB on FS1: Athletics at Red Sox — Saturday, 4:00 PM ET on FS1:

American League action is on the menu as FS1 leads off this week’s Fox Saturday Baseball doubleheader as the Athletics duel with the Red Sox on Saturday, August 8 at 4:00 PM ET.

⮞ Athletics (45-71) vs. Red Sox (64-51) — Saturday, 4:00 PM ET on FS1:

Tommy White and the slumping Athletics visit Caleb Durbin and the sizzling Boston Red Sox in a matchup featuring two teams going in completely opposite directions on Saturday, August 8, at 4:00 PM ET on FS1.

Fox Sports’ Eric Collins (play-by-play) and Tom Verducci (analyst) serve as the broadcast team for Saturday’s Athletics at Red Sox game on FS1.

This is the second series of the regular season between these two teams. Last week, the Red Sox secured a series victory over the Athletics, winning three out of four games in a series held in West Sacramento. Now, these American League teams are set to meet again, each approaching the series from different perspectives. The A’s have struggled with an unfortunate 4-14 record since the All-Star Break, while the Red Sox are enjoying an incredible turnaround, having won eight consecutive games and posting a 26-3 record over their last 29 games.

The A’s were defeated by the Cincinnati Reds, 6-5, on Thursday. Athletics 1B Tommy White collected two hits, while Athletics LF Tyler Soderstrom and Athletics C Brian Serven knocked in two runs each. Thursday marked the A’s eighth consecutive loss, as the team continues to fade further down the American League standings.

HOW ABOUT THOSE RED SOX?! The Red Sox continued their winning ways at Fenway Park Thursday, winning 12-11 in 13 innings over the visiting Chicago White Sox. Red Sox 3B Caleb Durbin’s RBI single in the bottom of the 13th inning proved to be the difference, as Boston continues to STUN the baseball world with their improbable rise to playoff contenders in the American League. Now, can Boston handle business at home against a struggling Athletics squad?

● Baseball Night in America: Guardians at White Sox, Orioles at Rangers, Tigers at Giants — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:

Baseball Night in America, Fox Sports’ signature MLB weekly primetime weekend program, delivers another night of regional action on Saturday, August 8, starting at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Viewers will watch one of three games: the Guardians tussling with the White Sox, the Orioles encountering the Rangers in Arlington, or the Tigers matching up with the Giants in San Francisco. Newly acquired outfielder Jo Adell and the Cleveland Guardians face off against Andrew Benintendi and the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox on “Baseball Night in America” on Saturday, August 8, at 7:00 PM ET/6:00 PM CT on Fox.

Veteran multi-sport play-by-play announcer Adam Amin calls Guardians-White Sox alongside analysts and World Series champions Adam Wainwright and AJ Pierzynski, with Ken Rosenthal reporting from the field.

This is the third time the Guardians and White Sox have played each other this year, with the White Sox leading the season series 4-3 entering this weekend’s three-game set at Rate Field in Chicago. This series is massive for both sides, as the White Sox hold a 3 GB lead in the AL Central while the Guardians attempt to gain ground not only in the Wild Card race but the division race as well. Of course, this series comes three years after the infamous fight between Guardians 3B José Ramírez and White Sox SS Tim Anderson.

White Sox 3B Miguel Vargas is one of the breakout stars during this special year on the South Side of Chicago. If Miguel can continue to hit and produce, the fifth-year major leaguer could finish with the highest batting average of his career. The 26-year-old leads the team in slugging percentage (.471), walks (63), at-bats (420), doubles (25), runs (76), & runs batted in (67). Vargas ranks second in the American League in runs and fourth in the American League in doubles. 

⮞ Orioles (56-60) vs. Rangers (58-58) — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:

Things are about to heat up down in the heart of Texas as Jackson Holliday and the Baltimore Orioles meet Brandon Nimmo and the Texas Rangers in a crucial series for BOTH of these American League franchises on Saturday, August 8, at 7:00 PM ET/6:00 PM CT on Fox.

Kenny Albert (play-by-play) teams up with Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst) to provide commentary for Orioles-Rangers from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

It has been a while since the Orioles and Rangers faced off. The teams played a three-game series at Baltimore’s Oriole Park at Camden Yards from March 30 to April 1, with Texas winning two of the three games. This weekend, the teams will meet again, both in need of a series victory to support their postseason aspirations.

The Orioles recently completed a 3-3 homestand, going 1-2 against the Phillies and 2-1 against the Angels. They are starting a 10-game road trip, with the first stop in Arlington. Meanwhile, the Rangers have turned things around after a recent six-game losing streak, winning their last two games against the Giants at home. The Rangers are currently trailing the Astros by just 1.5 games in the AL West standings.

Keep an eye out for Rangers 3B Josh Jung during this weekend’s series. Over his last 15 games, Jung has registered 17 hits and 8 runs scored. In fact, his .294 batting average is currently 10th in Major League Baseball. Texas needs him to keep this offensive production up if the Rangers would like to get back above .500 and remain a player in the postseason race for the rest of the summer.

⮞ Tigers (56-60) vs. Giants (46-67) — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:

Riley Greene and the Detroit Tigers continue their extended West Coast road trip against Bryce Eldridge and the subpar San Francisco Giants on Saturday, August 8, at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM CT on Fox.

In the broadcast booth, play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler and analyst Eric Karros will be tasked with working the Tigers-Giants matchup from Oracle Park in San Francisco.

Of course, this is a 2012 World Series rematch. As a quick personal note, the first-ever World Series that I covered as a young sports “broadcaster” was this series. I remember Sergio Romo striking out Miguel Cabrera in Game 4 to clinch San Francisco’s second World Series victory in three years. Obviously, Tigers-Giants DOESN’T carry the same amount of weight this weekend as that memorable series in October 14 years ago. In fact, this game and series really matter to only one team — the Detroit Tigers.

Last year, the Tigers swept the Giants in a three-game set at Detroit’s Comerica Park. And now, the Giants get a turn at hosting duties for this interleague matchup. Detroit is having a successful West Coast swing so far, going 5-1 after a three-game sweep versus the Athletics and a series win against the Mariners. The Giants come back home following a series loss at the hands of the Rangers in Texas. San Francisco’s playoff chances are hanging on by a thread, as they can’t afford to lose too many more games before you can stick a literal fork in them.

Tigers C Dillon Dingler is a run producer. He is currently tied for fifth in Major League Baseball with 78 RBIs alongside newly acquired Yankees 1B Luis Garcia Jr. (coming over from Washington). In fact, Dingler produced 6 RBIs in a three-game series victory over the Mariners at T-Mobile Park earlier in the week.
