Hello, and welcome to Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season. It is crazy to think that this season is moving so fast. Only four weeks remain in regular season play, and with so much on the line, teams are certainly playing with a little extra purpose and motivation these days. December football is so delightful because of the paramount importance every single game presents for a team still in the hunt by this stage of the game.

And this Sunday for Week 15, our friends at CBS and FOX will once again team up to provide us with exciting football action all throughout Sunday afternoon slate (1:00 PM ET and 4:00 PM ET). FOX is entrusted with doubleheader rights (and features Cowboys-Bills as the marquee 4 p.m. ET game), while CBS shows one game during a regional coverage day (with Buccaneers-Packers at 1 p.m. ET and 49ers-Cardinals at 4:05 p.m. ET showcased as two spotlight games).

* Week 15 Highlights:
  • Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) visit JuJu Smith-Schuster, J.C. Jackson and the New England Patriots (3-10) on Sunday, December 17 at 1:00 PM ET in an AFC battle. Kansas City is reeling somewhat right now, following a Week 13 defeat to the Packers and a heartbreaking Week 14 loss to the Bills. The Chiefs have not dropped three straight regular season games since 2017. Kansas City has to win this one to regain control of their season. As for the Patriots, they are eliminated from the playoffs, but could play spoiler this week. The game, which will be televised by FOX, will be called by 🎙 Joe Davis (play-by-play), Daryl Johnston (analyst) & Pam Oliver (reporter).
  • Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) take on Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (6-7) in a key NFC game on Sunday, December 17 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Buccaneers have started December off nicely with two wins in two games. The Packers need to bounce back via a short week, as their Week 14 Monday night with the Giants did not go so well (losing 24-22). Currently, both teams would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. 🎤 Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan and AJ Ross team up for the broadcast call on CBS.
  • Deebo Samuel and the red-hot 🔥 San Francisco 49ers (10-3) take their show to the desert 🏜 to play James Conner and the Arizona Cardinals (3-10) on Sunday, December 17 at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. This is a NFC West divisional matchup live from State Farm Stadium. Brock Purdy, Fred Warner and the squad continue to check off the boxes with every game they play ⌧  . San Francisco's D is the best in the league in terms of fewest points allowed. The 49ers are finally looking like a dangerous Super Bowl contender. Meanwhile, Arizona is coming off a bye week. San Francisco eyes their sixth straight dub in this one. 🎤 Ian Eagle, Charles Davis and Evan Washburn announce the CBS action.
  • In a monster interconference showdown from Western New York, Dak Prescott and the blazing warm Dallas Cowboys (10-3) take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (7-6) in a re-match of Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII. This Dallas at Buffalo contest, serves as FOX's America Game of the Week game on Sunday, December 17 at 4:25 PM ET. Since their Week 9 loss at Philadelphia, the Cowboys have won every single matchup that Dallas have played including wins over Philadelphia & Seattle in that span. As for Buffalo, they came out on top in Arrowhead last week against the Chiefs. The Bills have a 5-1 record at Highmark Stadium this season so far. The Bills continue their late season quest towards the postseason, as the team basically has to win out (or win a good portion of their games) to provide them the best possible chance for postseason. 🎤 FOX's lead crew of Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews & Tom Rinaldi will provide commentary for the matchup.

  • The race to the postseason continues with Week 14 action on Sunday, December 10 with a doubleheader on CBS and regional coverage on FOX.
  • Current playoff teams like the Lions (at CHI), Ravens (vs. LAR), 49ers (vs. SEA), Vikings (at LV), Chiefs (vs. BUF), Falcons (vs. TB), Colts (at CIN), Jaguars (at CLE) & Browns (vs. JAX) spotlighted in afternoon action on either CBS or FOX.
  • Week 14 has several significant matchups with postseason implications including: Rams vs. Ravens, Jaguars vs. Browns, Seahawks vs. 49ers, Vikings vs. Raiders, Bills vs. Chiefs, Broncos vs. Chargers, and more.
  • This week's doubleheader is a AFC matchup as Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (6-6) look to stay alive in a crowded AFC field as they visit Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (8-4), coming off a crazy loss to the Packers in Week 13, 27-19. The game kicks off on Sunday, December 10 at 4:25 PM ET on CBS.

The month of December is well underway by this point, and as you know, that means that the postseason is inching closer with every passing second.

And Week 14 on Sunday will certainly provide us with another exciting week of football as the final push towards the playoff tournament heats up 🔥 throughout the league.

As a side note, this is the last week of the season with a "bye" or "open" week (meaning that a team gets a week off and thus no game is scheduled). The Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Commanders will get to enjoy a week off to rest up and heal. From herein, every team will have four games left from Week 15 through Week 18. 😤 So, things are about to GET WILD.

On Sunday, December 10, eleven Sunday afternoon games will be split between CBS (six) and FOX (five). CBS will have the doubleheader this Sunday, while FOX will have regional coverage all day long.

With that in mind, let's take a quick peek on what's on the menu for this weekend (game highlights below):

Week 14 Game Highlights -- Sunday, December 10
At 1:00 PM ET on CBS, a key battle in the AFC takes place in Cleveland as Josh Allen leads his Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4) into this contest against Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns (7-5). The Browns need a win to right the ship, following two losses on the west coast to the Broncos and the Rams. Meanwhile, Evan Engram and the Jaguars continue their drive towards the #1 seed (and a huge first-round bye) in the AFC (even after a Week 13 Monday night loss at home to the Bengals). 🎙 Ian Eagle, Charles Davis and Evan Washburn team up for the CBS call.

Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and the Houston Texans (7-5) aim to write another chapter in this remarkable rise from ashes into respectability as they visit Garrett Wilson and the New York Jets (4-8) at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Right now, Houston is situated in a four-way tie with the Steelers, Colts, and Browns for three postseason berths (and the Texans are on the outside looking in), so this matchup against a inept, woeful Jets team is a critical one for Houston to win. 🎙 The wonderful play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst Trent Green and reporter Melanie Collins serve as the broadcast team.

Another early CBS game (1:00 PM ET) has the tight NFC South in the spotlight as Desmond Ridder and the Atlanta Falcons (6-6) host Antoine Winfield Jr. and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-7). The top three teams in the division have just one singular game keeping them asunder (Tampa Bay, New Orleans & Atlanta). Atlanta leads the NFC South right now, while Baker Mayfield and the Bucs attempt to enter a first-place tie for the divisional lead with four weeks to go. The Falcons try to climb over the .500 mark in this one.🎙 Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta and Aditi Kinkhabwala are set for the call from the ATL.

Zack Moss and the surging Indianapolis Colts (7-5) take center stage on CBS in the early window (1:00 PM ET) against Ja'Marr Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals (6-6). Don't look now, but Indianapolis has stacked four straight wins together coming into this Week 14 game against a Bengals team trying to stay afloat as the team tries to keep pace in the ultra-competitive AFC Wild Card picture.🎙Tom McCarthy, James Lofton, Jay Feely and Tiffany Blackmon are on the microphone for CBS.

At 1:00 PM ET on FOX, DeMarcus Robinson and the Los Angeles Rams (6-6) visit Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (9-3) (coming off their bye week) in a momentous interconference clash from Baltimore. Somehow, the Rams have recovered following a terrible 3-6 start to save their season with three straight wins. As a result, the Rams are now in the NFC Wild Card playoff picture. Can they stay there? As for rookie WR Zay Flowers and the Ravens, one question is present for me: Can Baltimore lock down that #1 seed in the AFC? Well, they get another chance to prove themselves against the Rams. 🎤 Joe Davis, Daryl Johnston and Pam Oliver team up for the FOX broadcast call from Baltimore.

Furthermore, another 1:00 PM ET FOX game has Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions (9-3) lace up their cleats on the road for the second straight week as they travel to Chicago to face the Chicago Bears (4-8), who are well rested following a bye week this week. The Lions are seeking their first NFC North division championship since 1993. In addition, the Lions now have a chance for the NFC's #1 seed after Philadelphia's Week 13 loss to the 49ers. Everything is in play for Detroit, who is currently having a dreamlike season in a lot of ways. 🎤 Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth and Kristina Pink team up for the FOX broadcast call from Chicago.

The final FOX 1:00 PM ET offering is a NFC South contest from New Orleans as Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints (5-7) play host to Bryce Young and the worst team in football, the Carolina Panthers (1-11). A win is essential here for New Orleans, as they are in a tightly packed NFC South division, currently sitting tied for second place (alongside Tampa Bay) and one game behind the Falcons for the NFC South lead. And keep in mind, the Saints have already lost a game to Atlanta earlier this season. 🎙 Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma and Shannon Spake are your broadcasters for this one.

At 4:05 PM ET on FOX, Deebo Samuel and the San Francisco 49ers (9-3) welcome Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks (6-6) to town for a late afternoon NFC West matchup in Santa Clara. For San Francisco, things are looking pretty good following a 42-19 thrashing of the defending NFC champion Eagles in Week 13. The 49ers are only one game back of Philadelphia for the top seed in the NFC (plus San Francisco owns the head-to-head tiebreaker between the two teams). As for Seattle, things are crumbling around them as they are riding a three-game losing streak into the San Francisco Bay Area for this one. The Seahawks definitely need this one to avoid falling further behind in the NFC Wild Card playoff picture, as their playoff hopes are starting to fade away.🎙 Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), Greg Olsen (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) & Tom Rinaldi (reporter) will be on the late afternoon call for FOX.

The other 4:05 PM ET game on FOX (opposite Seattle at San Francisco) is a interconference game filled with major playoff implications on both sides of the ledger as Alexander Mattison and the Minnesota Vikings (6-6) invade Sin City to play Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders (5-7). Both teams have plenty to get up for heading into this duel. The Vikings had been rolling with five straight wins before two straight L's to Denver and Chicago leading into the club's bye last week. Now, with the #6 seed, they need to return to their winning ways if they want to remain one of the NFC's top seven teams. Their speedster wide receiver Justin Jefferson is set to make his return for this matchup, and that's huge for the Vikings as Joshua Dobbs, their quarterback, continues his astounding journey serving as Minnesota's starting signalcaller. 🎙 Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez and Laura Okmin are on the FOX broadcast call.

The CBS doubleheader continues at 4:25 PM ET, as Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills (6-6) clash with Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs (8-4). Of course, these two teams have been involved in several postseason battles in recent memory (including the infamous 2021 AFC Divisional round thriller won by Kansas City). This time around, postseason significance is present more than ever here. With Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins running away with the AFC East title, if Buffalo plans to qualify for postseason play this season, it has to be as a Wild Card. The Bills are the #10 seed at the moment, currently on the outside looking in. A win is mandatory for the Bills if they want to keep any hopes alive down the stretch for an AFC Wild Card berth. As for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, they look to bounce back following a Sunday night loss in Week 13 to the Packers up in Green Bay. 🎙 The lead CBS team of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson will be on hand to describe the action for us.

CBS' late afternoon slate (4:25 PM, ET) also has an AFC West division game for us. In this game, Russell Wilson, P.J. Locke, Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos (6-6) make a trip to Southern California to face off with Justin Herbert, Khalil Mack and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-7). This is an extremely consequential game for both teams, folks. Both teams are looking up at the Indianapolis Colts for the seventh and final postseason spot in the AFC. A win will be immense and massive for either side, while a loss will be devastating and demoralizing. As you might expect, both teams will treat this game like a game of survivor mode. 🎙 Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan, AJ Ross are on the call.
