- The calendar has flipped to September, and "Baseball Night in America" on FOX is back this Saturday (September 7), as the regular season calendar is winding down. Both of FOX's regional games this Saturday are from the American League - Twins vs. Royals & White Sox vs. Red Sox. Coverage of "Baseball Night in America" will begin at 7:00 PM (ET) on FOX.
- A super important American League Central showdown takes place at Kaffuman Stadium as two postseason contenders meet - Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals host Christian Vazquez and the Minnesota Twins, with both teams currently hanging on to Wild Card berths. (Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX)
- Miguel Vargas and the lonely Chicago White Sox to put a major damper on Triston Casas and the Boston Red Sox' playoff hopes when the squads go up against each other Saturday night from Fenway Park in Boston; the Red Sox desperately need this one to keep pace for a Wild Card berth in the American League. (Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX)
The 2024 Major League Baseball postseason is now less than a month away from getting started. However, there is still some more regular season baseball left to be played. As the race for the playoffs continues throughout the month of September, the MLB on FOX will highlight the playoff picture featuring clubs fighting for a playoff spot. On Saturday, September 7, "Baseball Night in America" takes the diamond for Saturday night primetime baseball activity, starting at 7:00 PM (ET) on FOX. More details about Saturday's coverage can be found below.
At 7:00 PM (ET) on Saturday night, FOX heads to Kansas City, Missouri (yes, you heard that RIGHT) for a pivotal late-season matchup from the American League Central, featuring two clubs that are firmly in postseason position as of right now. Royce Lewis and the Minnesota Twins head south to face MJ Melendez and the Kansas City Royals. The Twins are currently second in the American League Central and have the second Wild Card spot. The Royals are currently third in the American League Central and have the third (and final) Wild Card spot. This matchup has a high amount of significance to say the least. π Cory Provus (play-by-play), Eric Karros (analyst) & Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will be on-site at Kaffuman Stadium to call the game.
At 7:00 PM (ET) on Saturday night, the historic Fenway Park will have a chance to be shown under the Saturday September lights on FOX as Jarren Duran and the Boston Red Sox host the Chicago White Sox, the worst team in baseball. Obviously, this is a must-win game and series for Boston, as their playoff chances are starting to slip away. π Play-by-play commentator Don Orsillo & analyst and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski have the 7:00 PM (ET) primetime call from Fenway Park.

Thanks to regular blog commenter Mark T. for pointing this out (with Philadelphia switching from CWS/BOS to MIN/KC).

Philadelphia is now getting Twins-Royals.
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Thanks bro! A MASSIVE switch btw. Many FOX affiliates have now switched to Twins-Royals. Which makes sense. White Sox-Red Sox is NOT a good game whatsoever. Only local markets should be getting that game. And by the way, WHAT THE HELL is Ken Rosenthal doing in Boston and not Kansas City?
DeleteExactly! The White Sox are definitely done and the Red Sox are probably done. Meanwhile Twins-Royals means a lot not only for the AL wild card race but for the AL Central depending on what the Guardians do.
DeleteGood Question.
