* ESPN to Celebrate the NBA's 75th Anniversary Season Across Platforms

ESPN announced today their NBA schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season. ESPN will televise 82 games for the season. This season will denote ESPN's 20th season of the NBA coverage, which started in the 2002-03 NBA season.


For this year, ESPN will commemorate the league's 75th anniversary via all ESPN platforms. Key dates to keep in mind for the regular season include ESPN's season-opening doubleheader on Wednesday, October 20, ESPN's Thanksgiving Eve doubleheader, the all-day feast on Christmas Day slate, and the NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC and NBA Sunday Showcase on ABC series.


In addition to ESPN's regular-season coverage, ESPN will show several NBA preseason games, plus up to 44 NBA Playoffs telecasts. ESPN's NBA coverage culminates with the Eastern Conference Finals on ESPN and the 2022 NBA Finals on ABC.

* Network to Emphasize Tuesday Nights for Marquee Games Early in the Season, Plus a Regular Season Doubleheader on the Final Day of the Regular Season (Apr. 10).

The home for NBA coverage for almost four decades, Turner Sports enters its' 38th straight season of providing coverage of NBA games.


For this season, TNT will boast a 65-game regular-season schedule, including an exciting Opening Night doubleheader, a doubleheader on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, regular doubleheaders on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting in January, in a change from typical TNT fashion), and a primetime doubleheader on Sunday, Apr. 10, the final day of the regular season.


Throughout the 2021-22 season, TNT will shine a light on the league's most valuable teams and players. For example, TNT has 13 Lakers games scheduled, 12 Warriors games scheduled, 11 Nets games scheduled, and ten games for the defending NBA Champion Bucks. Overall, TNT will have 32 doubleheaders throughout the season. 18 Tuesdays, 12 Thursdays, MLK Day (Monday), and the regular season's final day.


The network will officially commence the 2021-22 NBA season with exclusive marquee doubleheaders on Tuesday, Oct. 19, and Thursday, Oct. 21. Tuesday night's doubleheader is Nets at Bucks followed by Warriors at Lakers. Thursday night's doubleheader consists of Mavericks at Hawks and Clippers at Warriors. This opening week will feature the following players: Giannis AntetokoumnpoKevin DurantStephen CurryLuka DoncicTrae YoungLeBron JamesKyrie IrvingAnthony Davis, and Paul George, among others. Opening Week will also document the Lakers' debut for Russell Westbrook.


The second week of TNT's coverage will feature Kemba Walker and the New York Knicks vs. Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. (ET). Then, last season's KIA NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic, and the Nuggets visit Donovan Mitchell and Northwest Division foe, the Utah Jazz, at 10:00 p.m. (ET).


NBA on TNT's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. day doubleheader on Monday, Jan. 17, is spearheaded by the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals re-match between Milwaukee and Atlanta at 6 p.m. (ET). Up first, the Bulls, with offseason pickups DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball, visit the Grizzlies and Ja Morant at 3:30 p.m. (ET).


This season, the NBA and Turner Sports will recognize "NBA 75", a season-long initiative meant to embrace the players, coaches, and moments that have defined the league's 75-year history. On Tuesday, Dec. 14, one of the "NBA 75" Classic games will be on TNT's air as Stephen Curry, and the Golden State Warriors visit new acquisition Kemba Walker and the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The Warriors and Knicks (along with the Celtics) have played every single NBA season since the league's inception.


TNT will also televise the most playoff games of any NBA television provider, reaching a crescendo with coverage of the 2022 Western Conference Finals.

Big-Time NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC Schedule Includes Two Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers Games

* ESPN to Celebrate NBA 75th's Anniversary Season Across All Platforms


Today, along with sister network ESPN, ABC announced their national television schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season. ABC is scheduled to televise 19 games during the season. The 2021-22 season marks ABC's 20th straight season of NBA coverage, dating back to the 2002-03 season.


Key ABC games for this season will include NBA Saturday PrimetimeNBA Sunday ShowcaseChristmas Day, among other games.


ABC will televise a Christmas Day triple-header on Saturday, December 25 == Celtics vs. Bucks at 2:30 p.m., Warriors vs. Suns at 5 p.m.


The NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC series resumes for the seventh straight season. Once again, Saturday Primetime will be your home for some of the league's most significant attractions in terms of personnel and individual teams. Steph Curry and the Warriors take on LeBron James and the Lakers twice this year, February 12 and March 5. The series debuts on Saturday, December 11, as Curry and the Warriors face Joel Embiid and the 76ers in Philadelphia. All NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC games will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET.


The NBA Sunday Showcase is back on ABC! On Sunday, March 6Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns visit Giannis Antetokoumnpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a 2021 NBA Finals re-match. The long-time Sunday afternoon staple returns to ABC on February 13 (Super Bowl Sunday), as Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks visit Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics at 2 p.m.
