Highlights:
  • "Inside the NBA" set to move to ABC/ESPN in 2025-26, joining NBA Countdown and NBA Today in terms of studio programming.

As you guys may or may not know, the NBA on TNT is set to end this season following a 36-season run on TNT and a 41-year run on the Turner Sports' family of networks (TNT or TBS). With that in mind, many folks asked a question: "What would happen to Inside the NBA", the iconic NBA pregame, halftime and postgame show?" Well, there is an answer to that question. "Inside the NBA" will have a new television home when the new television contracts begin next season, 2025-2026. More about that in just a moment.

Earlier this week, ESPN (and ABC for that matter), in cooperation with Turner Sports, announced that they exclusively present the legendary studio program starting the 2025-26 regular season. The timing is perfect because ESPN and ABC are set to commence brand-new 11-year media rights with the National Basketball Association (NBA), which was disclosed in the summertime. As a result of this historic agreement, Turner Sports will continue to independently produce "Inside the NBA" from their Atlanta, Georgia based studios. TNT will sublicense the show to air on ABC and ESPN.

The celebrated "Inside the NBA" studio team of host Ernie Johnson, Hall of Famers Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal, along with two-time champion Kenny Smith are set to appear surrounding the top NBA events that ESPN and ABC have on their schedules, including ESPN's pregame, halftime and postgame coverage of the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV on ABC, Conference Finals, NBA Playoffs, all ABC games after January 1, Christmas Day, opening week, the final week of the season and other marquee live events.

The following are statements made by the Chairmans of the respective networks involved in this agreement, Jimmy Pitaro (ESPN) and Luis Silberwasser (Turner Sports), respectively:

Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, ESPN:
“Inside the NBA is universally recognized as one of the best and most culturally impactful shows in sports. We have long-admired the immensely talented team and are thrilled to add their chemistry and knowledge to our robust set of NBA studio offerings to super-serve NBA fans like never before. The addition of Inside the NBA further solidifies ESPN as the preeminent destination for sports fans.”

Luis Silberwasser, CEO & Chairman, Turner Sports (TNT Sports):
“At TNT Sports, we take great pride in our Inside the NBA show and know its success is both a reflection of the iconic talent on set and the incredible people behind the scenes who consistently demonstrate the creativity and craft of our great team. We are thrilled to continue to produce Inside the NBA for ESPN and ABC, ensuring fans are able to keep enjoying the magic of this show during the NBA season.”

In exchange for the sublicensing of "Inside the NBA" to ABC/ESPN, ESPN will send over a package of Big 12 men's football and men's basketball games to Turner Sports, beginning with the 2025-26 season. This unique situation is a continuation of a partnership between Turner Sports and ESPN, as Turner Sports is set to begin airing select College Football Playoff games in 2024.

ESPN will continue to produce the weekday studio show NBA Today and the pregame/halftime show NBA Countdown despite the "Inside the NBA" addition to ESPN and ABC's studio lineup. In fact, both NBA Countdown and NBA Today are expected to remain cornerstones in ESPN and ABC's NBA studio coverage moving forward. Malika Andrews hosts both programs with several of the NBA's top and first-class analysts and reporters including Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon, Kendrick Perkins, Richard Jefferson, Bob Myers, Chiney Ogwumike, Brian Windhorst, Ramona Shelburne, Shams Charania & much more.

TNT's Inside the NBA made its debut during the 1989-90 season. Ernie Johnson has been the show's host since the 1990-91 season. Kenny Smith has been an analyst on the program since 1998. Charles Barkley joined the show in 2000, followed by Shaquille O'Neal's arrival in 2011. It has won 21 Sports Emmy Awards and in 2020, was even recognized by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as the recipient of the Curt Gowdy Transformative Media Award.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced new 11-year media rights deals with ESPN/ABC, NBC (NBCUniversal) & Amazon Prime Video from the 2025-26 season through the 2035-36 season

A blog banner featuring the NBA's new media partners when the new media rights deal begins in 2025-26. (Tamir Moore/Canva)

Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Highlights:
  • The NBA's television and media landscape is set to undergo a major shakeup with the announcement of the league's new media rights deal. Starting in 2025-26, Turner Sports will no longer carry games with NBC Sports set to return to the national NBA stage & Amazon Prime Video streaming NBA games nationally for the very first time.
  • Disney (ABC/ESPN) remains the exclusive home of the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV (ABC), Christmas Day, ESPN games on Wednesdays and select Fridays, NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC and ABC Sunday Showcase packages.
  • NBCUniversal (NBC Sports) to telecast Opening Night, new Sunday night primetime games and Tuesday regionalized games, Peacock games on Mondays and NBA All-Star Weekend.
  • Prime Video to stream  Emirates NBA Cup games, SoFi NBA Play-in Tournament and games on Thursday and Friday nights.
  • Agreements include more national games than ever before on broadcast television (ABC, NBC).

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the resumption of a longstanding relationship with the Walt Disney Company (ABC/ESPN), alongside brand-new agreements with NBCUniversal (NBC) and Amazon Prime Video. With those details out of the way, ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock and Prime Video will telecast NBA games beginning with the 2025-26 season and going through the 2035-36 season.

Before we continue, let's acknowledge the heartbreaking reality 😢 of this newly formed NBA media world. Turner Sports (TNT) is set to end their 41-year run televising NBA games in the United States during the spring of 2025. However, TNT Sports will pick up new rights to air games internationally next season (albeit those games will feature commentators specific to those regions, not commentators like Brian Anderson, Kevin Harlan, Ian Eagle, Spero Dedes, Reggie Miller, Stan Van Gundy, Candace Parker, etc.). For all intents and purposes, the NBA on TNT will end following the 2024-25 season. Thank you, TNT, for everything that you have done for the NBA. You will be certainly missed 😞.

A brief biographical note prior to me getting back into the article, I grew up watching TNT from the time that I was around seven or eight years old to now at 25 years old. I enjoyed TNT's commentators and Inside the NBA. I am saddened to see TNT no longer carrying games 😢.

Anyways, the new media rights deal allows the NBA to grow the audience base for game telecasts, with all national games available on broadly carried streaming services, Peacock and Prime Video. Plus, there is a note about the expansion of game coverage on broadcast television. Around 75 games will be carried on broadcast television each season, up from the 15 minimum under the current contract.

The following are statements from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro, Comcast Corporation president Mike Cavanagh & Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios Mike Hopkins:

“Our new global media agreements with Disney, NBCUniversal and Amazon will maximize the reach and accessibility of NBA games for fans in the United States and around the world,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.  “These partners will distribute our content across a wide range of platforms and help transform the fan experience over the next decade.”

“We look forward to building upon our incredible legacy of innovation and growth with our longstanding partners at the NBA,” said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro.  “The NBA is a vibrant, ascendant league and through this premium collection of rights, including every NBA Finals on our platforms, we will continue to evolve together while successfully navigating the global digital transition and delivering the highest quality coverage for fans.”

“We are proud to once again partner with the NBA and WNBA, two iconic brands and the home of the best basketball in the world,” said Mike Cavanagh, President of Comcast Corporation.  “We look forward to presenting our best-in-class coverage of both leagues with our innovative programming and distribution plan across NBC and Peacock to entertain fans and help grow the game.”

“We are honored that the NBA has entrusted Prime Video to deliver its one-of-a-kind action and excitement to viewers around the world,” said Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.  “We look forward to continuing to innovate and evolve live sports coverage for our customers, and are fully committed to building an incredible video experience for millions of NBA fans starting in 2025.”

Disney, NBC Universal, and Amazon also secured rights to an unparalleled amount of WNBA live game broadcasts, with a major increase in the frequency that WNBA games are shown on over-the-air television. More details regarding this will be put out in a seperate press release later.

The Walt Disney Company (NBA on ABC/NBA on ESPN):
Disney (ABC/ESPN) will dispense a grand total of 80 NBA regular-season games per season during the life of the agreement. This includes more than 20 games on ABC (generally on Saturday nights with NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC and Sunday afternoons with NBA Sunday Showcase on ABC) and up to 60 games on ESPN (generally on Wednesday nights, and on occasion, Friday nights). ABC/ESPN will continue to serve as the exclusive television home of Christmas Day, televising all five games scheduled for the annual holiday on December 25. Furthermore, ESPN will televise a doubleheader on the final day of the NBA's regular season.

When the postseason comes around in the spring, ABC/ESPN will have the rights to 18 NBA Playoff telecasts during the first two rounds each year and one of the two Conference Final series in 10 of the 11 years of the agreement (ESPN/ABC will NOT have a Conference Final during one of these 11 seasons). As been the case since 2003, ABC will still hang on to exclusive rights to air the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV.

ABC/ESPN will continue to air the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, NBA Draft, NBA Draft Lottery and half of all NBA Summer League games. ABC/ESPN platforms will carry on with giving out a package of WNBA games as well. By the end of this 11-year renewal, NBA games would have been on a ESPN platform for 34 years.

NBCUniversal (NBA on NBC/NBA on Peacock):
NBCUniversal (NBC/Peacock) will distribute up to 100 NBA regular season games every season - with more than half of these games winding up on the NBC broadcast network (Sunday night package beginning in January + Tuesday regionalized broadcasts) & the remaining broadcasts being allotted to Peacock for coverage there (Monday nights). NBCUniversal will televise the Opening Night doubleheader each season and at least two MLK Jr. Day games on NBC and/or Peacock each season.

Peacock is set to host streams of NBA games every single Monday night during the regular season. Every Tuesday night during the year, NBC will telecast two games across certain NBC affiliate broadcast stations in different regions of the country. The first game will tip-off at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT/6:00 PM MT/5:00 PM PT) and will be made available in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. The second game will tip-off at 11:00 PM ET (10:00 PM CT/9:00 PM MT/8:00 PM PT) and will be made available in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones. All Tuesday games will be available stream to Peacock and certain NBC stations have a option to televise both Tuesday night games if they choose to do so.

NBC will become the home of NBA All-Star Weekend, including Rising Stars, State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, featuring AT&T Slam Dunk, Starry 3-Point Contest and Kia Skills Challenge and the All-Star Game. In the playoffs, NBC and/or Peacock will broadcast around 28 games during the first two rounds of the playoffs, with at least half of these games getting assigned to NBC. NBC will televise one of the Conference Finals in a rotation with Amazon Prime Video in six of the 11 seasons, beginning in 2025-26.

Moreover, NBCUniversal will televise WNBA games.

Amazon (NBA on Prime Video):
Amazon will transmit 66 NBA regular season games on Prime Video every season, including Thursday night doubleheaders beginning in January (once Thursday Night Football ends), Friday evening doubleheaders, select Saturday afternoon games, at least one game on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), and the Quarterfinals and Semifinals in the Knockout Round of the Emirates NBA Cup. Not to mention that Amazon Prime Video will exclusively stream the Championship Game of the Emirates NBA Cup.

Prime Video will also receive the rights to all six SoFi NBA Play-in Tournament games. In the playoffs, Prime Video will stream approximately one-third (28 games or so) of the first and second rounds each year. Likewise, Prime Video will exclusively stream one of the two Conference Finals series on a rotating basis with NBCUniversal, beginning with the 2026-27 season.

Equally important, Prime Video will possess a package of WNBA games to stream as well. Plus, Prime Video will stream half of the NBA Summer League games during the length of the broadcast agreement (with ESPN and their family of platforms) getting the rest.

To top it off, I will enclose brief capsules about each game in order to educate and inform the reading audience. There are plenty of topics to hit on for the Sunday before Thanksgiving, so let's get started, shall we?

FOX Sports' Week 12 doubleheader coverage will get under way with two live hours of pregame coverage. The pregame lineup starts at 11:00 AM ET on FOX, with FOX NFL Kickoff presented by Little Casears. Live from Los Angeles, the program features host Charissa Thompson, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman, analyst and four-time Pro Bowler Michael Vick, analyst and Hall of Famer Charles Woodson & insider Peter Schrager. Also, Cooper Manning and Colin Cowherd contribute segments for the show. "FOX NFL Kickoff" previews the upcoming day's football action, with interviews, live reports from NFL game venues, breaking news and updates integrated in.

One hour later, at 12:00 PM ET on FOX, the multi-hour pregame programming continues with the iconic FOX NFL Sunday presented by GMC. Emanating from Los Angeles, longtime FOX Sports host Curt Menefee and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw share hosting duties for the program. Joining Menefee and Bradshaw in studio this week are Hall of Famers Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Howie Long. Jay Glazer serves the "insider", reporting on the up-to-minute news in the NFL. As per usual, "FOX NFL Sunday" will have pregame discussion, interviews, and predictions for Sunday's games.

The doubleheader coverage commences at 1:00 PM ET on FOX with the kickoffs of the early afternoon games. FOX plans to regionalize three games in the 1:00 PM ET timeslot, including: Cowboys vs. Commanders (79% of Markets), Lions vs. Colts (11% of Markets) & Vikings vs. Bears (10% of Markets). I strongly encourage you to press ahead to find condensed previews for all three early FOX doubleheader games this week.

Later in the day, America's Game of the Week hits the air at 4:25 PM ET to serve as the second game of the doubleheader. Two games comprise the late afternoon window this week - 49ers vs. Packers (93% of Markets) & Cardinals vs. Seahawks (7% of Markets). To make a long story short, if you don't live in Washington State or Arizona (Seattle, Phoenix, etc.), you're getting San Francisco at Green Bay. Time now for me to provide you with a pregame explanation of both of these matchups before they kick off Sunday on FOX.

Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels and his Washington Commanders (7-4) strive to get right against Micah Parsons and the free falling Dallas Cowboys (3-7) in NFC East play on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. It has been a gloomy season in Dallas, as the Cowboys possess an atrocious five-game losing streak, including last week's 34-10 beatdown at AT&T Stadium by CJ Stroud and visiting Houston Texans. The Cowboys (3-7) are tied for the second worst in the NFC (Carolina), only ahead of next week's opponent, the New York Giants (2-8). Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had 8 catches & 106 scrimmage yards last week vs. the Texans. The Commanders are on a two-game losing streak, losing 28-27 to the Steelers in Week 10 and losing 26-18 to the Eagles in Week 11 (TNF). The Commanders are one of six teams above .500 this season following a postseason miss last year. This game vs. the Cowboys is an important game for Washington, as they must win in order to keep pace with the Eagles for the top of the NFC East. For Bobby Wagner and the Commanders, they have a game and a half cushion for a Wild Card position. Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 63 yards & rush touchdown last week vs. the Eagles. 🎙 Sunday's Cowboys-Commanders game will be nationally televised on FOX, as Joe Davis (play-by-play) joins analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and reporter Pam Oliver from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions (9-1) are in search for their 10th victory during this week's expedition to the Circle City of Indianapolis to match up against Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts (5-6) on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Lions have won nine of their first 10 games of a season for the first time in 90 years, since they started 10-0 in 1934. The Lions, of course, came off arguably their best win in franchise history last week via a 52-6 thrashing of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Lions are still hungry for their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. Including the playoffs, the Lions have rushed for a touchdown in 24 consecutive games, the longest such streak in NFL history. The Lions have the #1 seed in the NFC & the league's highest scoring offense (336 points, 33.6 per game). The Colts are back on the field following last week's important 28-27 win over the Jets in New Jersey. Now, the Colts try to even up their record at 6-6 and improve their postseason odds. Colts DT DeForest Buckner had 5 tackles & TFL in Week 11 vs. the Jets. 🎙 Veteran play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi take the call from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jordan Addison and the Minnesota Vikings (8-2) conclude their three-game road trip against Rome Odunze and the slumping Chicago Bears (4-6) in this NFC North tilt on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. Things are looking good in Minneapolis these days as the Vikings bring a three-game winning streak to the Windy City. Last week, the Vikings defeated the Titans 23-13 in Nashville. The Vikings try to sweep their three-game road trip before heading back to U.S. Bank Stadium next week vs. Arizona. Right now, the Vikings are the #5 seed in the NFC and only one game behind Detroit for the NFC North lead. Obviously, the Vikings have to be on their best behavior against a division foe with so much at stake for them. Vikings S Camryn Bynum has a pass deflection in three of his previous four games. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson ranks second in the NFL with 912 receiving yards in 2024. The Bears need to stop the bleeding this week, as they have a terrible stretch of games, taking a L in four straight games after a surprising 4-2 start. Now, Chicago needs to start some winning games as their playoff chances are to starting to slip away with every passing week. Last week, the Bears nearly vanquished the Packers, but lost on a blocked field goal attempt as time expired, 20-19. Bears WR DJ Moore had 7 catches for 62 yards in Week 11 vs. the Packers. Bears S Kevin Byard III led the team with nine tackles in Week 11 vs. the Packers. 🎙 You can catch Sunday's Vikings-Bears divisional matchup on FOX, as play-by-play commentator Kevin Kugler, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston and sideline reporter Laura Okmin are scheduled for the 1:00 PM ET presentation.

The San Francisco 49ers (5-5) and the Green Bay Packers (7-3) meet in a re-match of last season's NFC Divisional Playoff Game (a game won by San Francisco, 24-21) on Sunday, November 24 at 4:25 PM ET on FOX. The defending NFC champions have had a rocky season so far, splitting their first ten regular season games. Last week, the 49ers fell victim to a stunning 20-17 loss to their divisional rival, the Seahawks. San Francisco is very much in play for a Wild Card spot and a NFC West title despite this unsteady beginning. The 49ers are banged up entering this one, as DE Nick Bosa (hip) and QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) are both OUT this week. The 49ers rank second in the NFL in total offense (398.9 yards per game). The Packers are surging right now, as the team has captured wins in five of their previous six games (with a Week 9 loss to the Lions being the only blemish in this stretch). The Packers got an emotional win over the Bears last week, 20-19, with Packers DL Karl Brooks blocking a potential game-winning Bears field goal attempt. Currently, the Packers have one of the three Wild Cards in the NFC. The Packers rank fourth in the league in total offense (388.1). 🎙 FOX will be your television home for 49ers-Packers on Sunday, with FOX's lead crew of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) & Tom Rinaldi (reporter) tasked with the assignment.

The top of the NFC West is the principal headline ahead of this NFC West matchup in Seattle, as Kyler Murray and the NFC West leading Arizona Cardinals (6-4) visit Julian Love and the Seattle Seahawks (5-5) on Sunday, November 24 at 4:25 PM ET on FOX. The Cardinals are riding a four-game winning streak into Sunday's critical NFC West clash. Plus, Arizona has won six of their first ten games for the first time since the 2021 season. Two weeks ago (prior to the team's bye last week), the Cardinals picked up a dominant 31-6 win over the Jets. In Week 10 vs. the Jets, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray became the fourth quarterback in NFL history with three-or-more rushing touchdowns in each of his first six seasons. The Seahawks are feeling great after last week's 20-17 victory in Santa Clara against the 49ers. Seattle's fifth win has them becoming a major factor in this NFC West race as Thanksgiving approaches. Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba recorded 10 catches for 110 yards in Week 11 vs. the 49ers. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Adam Amin, analyst and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez and reporter Kristina Pink head to the Pacific Northwest for Sunday's Cardinals-Seahawks FOX broadcast.

When America's Game of the Week finishes up, stay with FOX for a half-hour postgame show to recap Sunday Week 12 in the National Football League. Beginning at 7:30 PM ET on FOX, make sure you join Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson & Jay Glazer for a summary of Sunday's highlights, scores, sounds from the locker room, postgame interviews with the key players in the game, and much more!

Welcome to the Week #12 edition of the NFL on CBS: Field Pass. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving (November 24), CBS Sports is set to bring you regional coverage featuring several matchups from coast to coast. You will receive a game at either 1:00 PM ET or 4:05 PM ET, but more about that in just a moment. CBS will have five games on their schedule this week. In the early window (1:00 PM ET), you have Chiefs vs. Panthers, Titans vs. Texans, Patriots vs. Dolphins and Buccaneers vs. Giants. The sole game in the late window (4:05 PM ET) is Broncos vs. Raiders, for markets set to receive this AFC West battle.

In this week's edition of the NFL on CBS: Field Pass, I will talk about this Sunday's broadcast schedule on CBS, from "The NFL Today" at 12:00 PM ET through the late 4:05 PM ET singleheader game (Denver at Las Vegas). Additionally, we will preview each game so you have a basic idea of what to look for while you watch and finish things out with the distribution breakdown of the NFL on CBS matchups this week. With that in mind, let's get into it!

Sunday's NFL on CBS broadcast day begins with "The NFL Today" live from New York City at 12:00 PM ET on CBS. Veteran host James Brown anchors the program alongside a full cast of studio analysts, including Hall of Famer Bill Cowher, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Insider Jonathan Jones joins the program to discuss the latest news and information from around the league.

This week on "The NFL Today", the fellas chat about the current state of the AFC #1 seed race, with Pittsburgh, Kansas City & Buffalo at the top of the mountain. Charles Davis joins from Charlotte ahead of Chiefs-Panthers. Plus, now that Daniel Jones has been released by the Giants, the guys will have a timely discussion about where the Giants should go from here.

Once "The NFL Today" wraps up, most of you will get an early afternoon singleheader presentation on CBS, with coverage starting at 1:00 PM ET for that particular timeslot. CBS will regionalize four games in this 1:00 PM ET window for the audience slated to receive their only CBS game for Sunday in the early afternoon. These games include Chiefs at Panthers (55% of Markets), Buccaneers at Giants (11% of Markets), Titans at Texans (9% of Markets) & Patriots at Dolphins (8% of Markets). We will briefly touch on each of these matchups, so you guys have some knowledge going into these games.

Patrick Mahomes and two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) hit the road this week to face off against Jadeveon Clowney and the Carolina Panthers (3-7) on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Chiefs are coming off their first loss of this 2024 season last week at Buffalo, dropping that game 30-21. The Panthers are well rested in the wake of Week 11 bye. Before their bye, the Panthers picked up two consecutive weeks, defeating the Saints in Week 9 and the Giants in Munich, Germany in Week 10. Now, the Panthers attempt to upset the Chiefs and grab their third straight win. The Chiefs possess the top seed in the AFC at 9-1, marking the seventh time in franchise history and fourth under current head coach Andy Reid (2013-present) that Kansas City has posted nine wins in the first ten games of a regular season schedule. With another victory this year, Reid will get his 19th 10-win season as a NFL head coach, becoming the third coach all-time to achieve this feat, joining Bill Belichick (20 seasons with 10 or more wins and Hall of Famer Don Shula (20). The Panthers' defense has been terrible this season, giving up an average of 31.0 points per game. 🎙 Sunday's Chiefs-Panthers game will be nationally broadcasted on CBS, with the broadcast team of Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst) and Evan Washburn (reporter) set for the call.

Two struggling NFC teams meet in Week 12 as Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) visit the New York Giants (2-8) on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Buccaneers have lost four straight games prior to the team's bye last week, having been defeated by the 49ers 23-10 in Week 10. The Giants season has been a complete disaster, suffering five straight defeats before the team's bye in Week 11, losing a tight one to the Panthers 20-17 in Munich, Germany back in Week 10. Despite Tampa Bay's subpar 4-6 record, a win for the Buccaneers would place them just one game behind Atlanta for first place in the NFC South (Atlanta is on bye this week). Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield needs one touchdown pass to have four seasons with at least 25 touchdown passes. Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving had 87 scrimmage yards (73 rush, 14 rec.) & 4th rushing touchdown of the season in Week 10 vs. the 49ers. The Giants try to spoil Tampa Bay's postseason dreams here in Week 12. The Giants begin life without QB Daniel Jones, who the team released on Friday. In Jones' place comes Tommy DeVito, the second year undrafted player from Illinois. In nine career games (six starts), he has a 64% comp pct. (114 of 178), 1,101 pass yards, 9 TD's (8 pass, 1 rush) vs. 3 INT's & 89.2 rating. Is 2-0 in 2 career home starts with TD pass vs. 0 INT's & 100+ QB ratings for each start. 🎙 Sunday's Buccaneers-Giants game will be nationally televised on CBS, with play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon, analyst and former NFL running back Tiki Barber, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty and reporter AJ Ross announcing the action.

A pair of AFC South teams clash in Week 12 as Tony Pollard and the Tennessee Titans (2-8) take on Nico Collins and the AFC South leaders, the Houston Texans (7-4), on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Titans are track to miss the postseason for the third straight season, coming into Sunday's record with an abysmal 2-8 record. Last week, the Titans were conquered by the Vikings 23-13 in Nashville at Nissan Stadium. The Texans are one of the six AFC teams to have seven or more wins coming into Week 12. Last week, the Texans grabbed a much-needed 34-10 win over the Cowboys on "Monday Night Football". Houston tries to keep their AFC South division record perfect (3-0 so far). Titans WR Tyler Boyd had 8 catches for 117 yards in his last game vs. the Texans (11/12/23 with Cincinnati). Titans DT Jeffery Simmons had his second forced fumble & fumble recovery last week vs. the Vikings. Texans QB C.J. Stroud completed 23 of 34 attempts (67.6%) for 257 yards last week vs. the Cowboys. Texans S Jalen Pitre had team-high nine tackles & first forced fumble of season last week. 🎙 This week's Titans-Texans game broadcast on CBS features the commentary team of Tom McCarthy (play-by-play), former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker (analyst), former NFL kicker Jay Feely (analyst) & Amanda Balionis (reporter).

An AFC East rivalry is set to heat up in South Florida as Rhamondre Stevenson and the New England Patriots (3-8) take a trip to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida for a divisional confrontation with Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins (4-6) on Sunday, November 24 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Patriots enter Week 12 play on a losing note following last week's 28-22 loss to the Rams. New England's season is basically over, barring a miracle. However, for head coach Mike McDaniel and his Dolphins, they are attempting to pull off an implausible late season turnaround. The Dolphins have won two straight games, victories over the Los Angeles Rams (Week 10) and the Las Vegas Raiders (Week 11). Potentially, with a Miami win Sunday and a Denver loss to Las Vegas, the Dolphins could be a half game out of a Wild Card spot with six weeks left. Patriots CB Marcus Jones played his first-ever offensive snaps last week vs. the Rams, recording a five-yard rush in the second half of that game. Patriots QB Drake Maye (rookie) is averaging 9.3-yards per rush with 28 rushing attempts for 260 yards. Since Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa's return in Week 8 from a concussion, the Dolphins offense appears to look and play better. A 17-year NFL veteran, Dolphins DT Calais Campbell has played in 254 career games. 🎙 This week's Patriots-Dolphins game will be broadcasted on CBS, as Spero Dedes calls the play-by-play alongside game analyst Adam Archuleta and reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.

For those of you receiving a late afternoon singleheader game on CBS this Sunday instead, coverage of the Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders game begins at 4:00 PM ET (with kickoff scheduled for 4:05 PM ET). 17% of the country is scheduled to receive this AFC West tilt, including Chicago, Dallas, Denver & Las Vegas. Continue reading for further information about Broncos-Raiders.

We tour the AFC West this weekend with Las Vegas, Nevada serving as the backdrop for a Week 12 showdown as rookie quarterback Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos (6-5) come into town to square off against Ameer Abdullah and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) on Sunday, November 24 at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. The Broncos are having a great start in 2024, as the team looks to qualify for the postseason for the first time since their Super Bowl winning season of 2015 (since 2016, the Broncos have posted just one winning record, which was ironically enough in 2016). Last week, the Broncos crushed the Falcons at home 38-6. It's been a long season for Las Vegas, as the team has dropped six straight games coming into this week's game. The Raiders haven't won a contest since Week 4 (a 20-16 win over the Browns). Broncos RB Javonte Williams led team with 87 scrimmage yards last week vs. the Falcons. WR Courtland Sutton aims for his fifth in a row with 6+ catches & 70+ rec. yards. Raiders S Tre'Von Moehrig aims for 10th in a row with 5+ tackles. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby had 5 tackles last week vs. the Dolphins. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins team up for Sunday's Broncos-Raiders game on CBS.
