Welcome back, guys! Apologies for no “MLB on Fox: On Deck” article last week. Fox moved Phillies-Brewers over to FS1, and Astros-Royals was dropped from the schedule entirely. We are back in business this week! It is worth noting that Fox will have only TWO Saturdays of MLB coverage over five weeks, from June 13 through July 11 (June 20, July 4), due to its prior commitment to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Bo Bichette and the New York Mets (32-39) try to make a mid-season push towards a postseason berth against Brandon Marsh and the Philadelphia Phillies (38-33), in possession of one of three NL Wild Card spots, on Saturday, June 20, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox, highlighting Fox Sports’ two-game Major League Baseball slate for this week.

Baseball Night in America, Fox Sports’ weekly MLB primetime series, returns after a one-week hiatus with regionalized coverage of two games on Saturday, June 20, at 7:15 PM ET on the Fox broadcast network. This week, Marcus Semien and the New York Mets visit Alec Bohm and the Philadelphia Phillies, or Jeremy Peña and the Houston Astros host José Ramírez and the Cleveland Guardians. Which game will your local Fox station televise, and who’s calling the action? Read on to find out the answers.

Mets vs. Phillies — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:
Longtime National League East rivals are set to tussle again as Francisco Alvarez and the New York Mets (32-40) square off against Justin Crawford and the Philadelphia Phillies (39-33) on Saturday, June 20, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox. Saturday’s game is the second game of a three-game weekend set, as the NL East teams meet for the first time this season. The Mets won the season series last year between these clubs, with New York winning seven of the 13 regular-season matchups.

The MLB on Fox lead team of Joe Davis (play-by-play), Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst), and Emmy Award-winning reporter Ken Rosenthal (Field reporter) will provide commentary for the Mets-Phillies game from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Mets (32-40) faced a tough start to the 2026 season, going 10-21 in their first 31 games (March/April), including a harsh 12-game losing streak from April 8 to April 21. They have also been battling injuries, notably SS Francisco Lindor (calf), who is out for an extended period. Fortunately, the Mets expect the five-time MLB All-Star to return soon. Since May began, they have compiled a 22-18 record and are now aiming to close the gap in the National League Wild Card race, trailing the Padres by 5.5 games for the final NL playoff spot.

Meanwhile, the Phillies (39-33) have recovered from a poor 9-19 start that led to the firing of manager Rob Thomson and the appointment of Don Mattingly as interim manager. Since then, the team has gone 30-14 over the last 44 games. On Monday night, Philadelphia defeated the Marlins 7-0, with home runs from J.T. Realmuto (5th of the season) and rookie Gabriel Rincones Jr. (first MLB HR). The Phillies are currently the second National League Wild Card team, just behind the Cardinals and 1.5 games ahead of the Padres.

Guardians vs. Astros — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:
A pair of American League franchises duel on “Baseball Night in America” when Austin Hedges and the Cleveland Guardians (39-33) compete against Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros (33-41) on Saturday, June 20, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox. Saturday marks the middle game of this three-game series between Cleveland and Houston, with the Astros up 2-1 in the season series after a series victory at Cleveland’s Progressive Field in late April (April 20-April 22).

Fox Sports’ Kenny Albert (play-by-play) will call play-by-play for Guardians-Astros, alongside AJ Pierzynski (analyst), who won a World Series championship with the White Sox in 2005.

The Guardians (39-33) are involved in a tight American League Central race between themselves and the upstart Chicago White Sox (38-32). Meaning that this weekend’s series in Houston is very critical for Cleveland, as the team can’t afford to stumble if they want to either remain in a first-place tie or take sole possession of first place in the American League Central. Recently, the Guardians picked up two wins against their division rival, the Tigers, in a weekend series shortened after Sunday’s game was postponed. Guardians LF Angel Martínez leads the team with 11 home runs.

The Astros (33-41) have struggled with consistency in 2026, spending most of the season at or below .500. Consequently, they’ve fallen 4.5 games behind in the AL West (led by Seattle) and 4.0 games back in the AL Wild Card race (the A’s currently hold the last Wild Card spot). The team urgently needs a lengthy winning streak to gain momentum and establish itself as a serious contender in the American League. On Monday night, the Astros were defeated 9-3 by the Tigers in the series opener at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas.
