2020 - 2021 NBA on TNT Schedule


* TNT's First Half schedule revealed with HUGE Opening Night on TNT - Tuesday, Dec. 22 -- Golden State Warriors vs. Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. ET followed by LA Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m. ET

* TNT's MLK Jr. Day tripleheader - Monday, Jan. 18 -- Features Suns vs. Grizzlies, Bucks vs. Nets & Warriors vs. Lakers

Turner Sports, in its 37th season of NBA coverage, will feature a 66-game schedule during the 2020-21 NBA season. This schedule includes a huge Opening Night, the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tripleheader, weekly NBA on TNT Tuesdays starting in February, and the traditional NBA on TNT Thursday night doubleheaders.

The 2020-21 NBA schedule will be released in two segments, with the first half being announced in conjunction with the NBA. TNT's first 36 telecasts are now known. The remaining 30 games will be a part of the second-half schedule, will be released at a later date.

TNT will highlight the biggest stars in the league and biggest off-season moves, starting with a star-filled Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 22. The first game features the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry and Draymond Green visiting their former teammate Kevin Durant, alongside Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. (ET). The NBA defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James close out the evening against Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers at 10 p.m. (ET).

The network's Opening Week coverage continues on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. (ET), with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokoumpo taking a trip to Boston to play Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics.

The second week of TNT's regular-season NBA coverage features yet another great doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 29: Jrue Holiday and the Bucks visiting Jimmy Butler and the defending Eastern Conference champion Heat at 7:30 p.m. (ET), followed by sensational talent Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans taking on Chris Paul, Devin Booker and the up and coming Phoenix Suns at 10 p.m. (ET).

TNT's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tripleheader features three games on Monday, Jan. 18, starting at 5 p.m. (ET). The first game sees Ja Morant and the Grizzlies hosting Devin Booker and the Suns. The network's second game at 7:30 p.m. (ET) has fireworks indeed as Giannis' Bucks and KD's Nets square off. The Warriors-Lakers dual caps off the night at 10 p.m. (ET).

Over the first half of the season, TNT will televise doubleheaders on nine Thursdays and seven Tuesdays.

2020 - 2021 NBA on ABC Schedule


. ABC's NBA Schedule begins on Christmas Day (Dec. 25): Warriors at Bucks (2:30 p.m. ET) | Nets at Celtics (5 p.m. ET) | Mavericks at Lakers (8 p.m. ET)

. Saturday Primetime returns on Saturday, January 30th with Lakers vs. Celtics (8:30 p.m. ET)

ABC, along with ESPN, returns for their 19th straight season of NBA coverage. ABC will again tip off their NBA coverage on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25th, with a tripleheader of NBA action.

The Christmas schedule looks like this: First at 2:30 PM ET, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors visit Giannis Antetokoumnpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Later on at 5:00 PM ET, Kyrie Irving (former Celtic) and the Brooklyn Nets visit Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics. Finally at 8:00 PM ET, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks visit LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

ABC's schedule then continues on Saturday, January 30th with the season debut of NBA Saturday Primetime. The 8:30 PM ET matchup features a historic NBA rivalry as Anthony Davis and the Lakers square off with Jayson Tatum and the Celtics.

Former Warrior Kevin Durant returns to the Bay Area against Draymond Green and the Warriors on Saturday, February 13th (8:30 PM ET).

The 2020 NBA Finals, participants, the Heat & Lakers, battle it out on Saturday, February 20th (8:30 PM ET).

ABC's Sunday afternoon schedule will begin on Sunday, February 21st at 3:30 PM ET with the return of NBA Sunday Showcase. That day, the Celtics visit Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

ESPN, in conjunction with the NBA, announced the national television schedule for the first half of the 2020-21 NBA season through Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021. ESPN and ABC will team up to televise 49 games in the first half, with 39 games on ESPN and 10 games on ABC. Marquee dates for the first half of the season include ESPN's opening night game on Wednesday, December 23rd, Christmas Day and the season debuts of Saturday Primetime and Sunday Showcase.

In addition to the regular season, ESPN will also televise five preseason games, beginning on Friday, December 11th. ESPN and/or ABC will air up to 44 2021 NBA Playoffs game telecasts. This year, ESPN will exclusively televise the 2021 Western Conference Finals. Of course, the season culminates with ABC's exclusive presentation of the 2021 NBA Finals. All ABC and ESPN NBA broadcasts are available through the ESPN App.

ESPN's and ABC's live 2020-21 NBA regular season schedule begins on Wednesday, December 23rd at 10:30 PM ET on ESPN, as Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks visit Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns. Paul is expected to make his Phoenix debut with this matchup.
