Highlights:

• ESPN returns for its 37th MLB season of coverage with a 30-game national package, consisting of weeknight games (mostly).

• ABC to broadcast three games on linear television this summer, including two Cubs matchups.

• For the first time since 1989, ESPN will not have “Sunday Night Baseball” as part of its MLB coverage.

• ESPN will exclusively broadcast the Yankees vs. Royals game on Memorial Day -- Monday, May 25, at 3:30 PM ET.

• ESPN has exclusive rights for the second-half opener and the MLB Little League Classic.

ESPN will resume national coverage of MLB games during the 2026 season. Obviously, there are major changes to ESPN’s MLB presentation. To start, ESPN lost its “Sunday Night Baseball” package to NBC Sports after a 36-year run, meaning that ESPN will have baseball coverage without its Sunday night game slate for the first time. ESPN celebrates its 37th season of MLB coverage in 2026.

This year, ESPN will produce and distribute 30 MLB regular-season games to air on either ESPN or ABC. ESPN maintains its exclusive rights to the MLB Little League Classic. Furthermore, ESPN has acquired the right to broadcast Memorial Day games and the second-half opener. Moreover, ESPN revealed the three MLB regular-season games that will be airing on ABC during the 2026 season. These games will feature divisional clashes and star-studded affairs. This year’s lineup of ABC games is part of ESPN’s new rights agreement with Major League Baseball.

The weekend schedule of ABC telecasts is highlighted by the Saturday matinee Yankees vs. Red Sox on June 27 at 1:00 PM ET. Plus, Nico Hoerner and the Chicago Cubs will appear on two ABC games, including a June 14 road game at San Francisco and an August 16 home game vs. St. Louis.

ESPN opens its new 30-game regular-season slate on Wednesday, April 15 — MLB’s Jackie Robinson Day — as Marcus Semien and the New York Mets face Teoscar Hernández and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers at 10:00 PM ET. 

ESPN will exclusively televise a Memorial Day tilt on Monday, May 25, at 3:30 PM ET as Giancarlo Stanton and the New York Yankees play Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals.

On Thursday, July 16, at 7:00 PM ET, the New York Mets face the Philadelphia Phillies to begin the second half of the regular season.

Additionally, ESPN will proceed with its annual exclusive telecast of the MLB Little League Classic presented by New York Life. This year’s game features the Atlanta Braves playing the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, August 23, at 7:00 PM ET.

ESPN saw two of its Major League Baseball play-by-play announcers leave this season: Dave Flemming left ESPN in June, while Karl Ravech was laid off by ESPN the following month (although he did call select games for some time afterward).

Turner Sports (TNT Sports) recently announced its game selections for the first half of the 2026 MLB regular season. MLB Tuesday, now in its fifth season, returns to serve as one of the signature sports properties during the spring and summer months. TBS will air a 30-minute pregame and postgame show for MLB Tuesday each week during the season. 

The 14-week lineup over the first half of the season has a 2025 World Series rematch, intense rivalries, international superstars, and numerous playoff contenders from around the league.

MLB Tuesday begins its 2026 campaign on Tuesday, March 31, with a matchup between baseball’s leading home run hitters from the past two years. The 2025 Home Run Champion, Cal Raleigh, and the Seattle Mariners will host 2024 Home Run Champion Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees at 9:30 PM ET.

In October, Turner Sports (TNT Sports) finishes its 53rd season of MLB with exclusive coverage of the 2026 American League Division Series, presented by Booking.com, and the 2026 American League Championship Series across its networks and platforms.

Additional highlights from the first half of the 2026 regular season schedule for MLB Tuesday include:

• On Tuesday, April 7, Rogers Centre will host a thrilling rematch of the 2025 World Series, featuring 2025 NL MVP Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and the Los Angeles Dodgers as they visit Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, and the Toronto Blue Jays, following an iconic seven-game series between the clubs in the Fall Classic last year. (7:00 PM ET)

• The Los Angeles Dodgers will make an additional TBS appearance in May, at Houston’s Daikin Park on May 5, as they tussle with Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, Yordan Álvarez, and the Houston Astros in an exciting matchup of star power. (8:00 PM ET)

• The Philadelphia Phillies, led by 2025 NL Home Run Leader Kyle Schwarber and eight-time All-Star Bryce Harper, have two first-half games on TBS. They will host Alex Bregman, Michael Busch, Dansby Swanson, and the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, April 14. Additionally, they welcome Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, and the San Diego Padres in a special Lou Gehrig Day matchup on Tuesday, June 2.

• One of the greatest rivalries in sports will debut in the 2026 regular season on Tuesday, April 21, as Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Jazz Chisholm Jr., and the New York Yankees visit Fenway Park to compete against Trevor Story, Jarren Duran, and the Boston Red Sox.

• The Yankees will also host the AL-pennant-winning Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, May 19, travel to Cleveland to battle the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, June 9, and square off against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, June 30.

• 2025 MLB All-Star Riley Greene, alongside Kerry Carpenter, leads the Detroit Tigers squad into three more MLB Tuesday games. They will visit Truist Park on Tuesday, April 28, to face 2023 NL MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. and the Atlanta Braves, travel to Citi Field on Tuesday, May 12, to battle five-time All-Star Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets, and then head to Daikin Park on Tuesday, June 16, to meet two-time World Series champion Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros.

2026 MLB on Fox Schedule

Highlights:

• MLB on Fox begins the 31st season of televising live MLB games on Saturday, March 28 -- the opening weekend of the 2026 MLB regular season.

• Over 85 regular-season game telecasts across Fox and FS1.

• Fox has exclusive coverage of the 2026 MLB All-Star Game from Philadelphia on Tuesday, January 14 -- the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.

• Postseason Coverage: Fox Sports will have broadcasting rights to several marquee postseason events — the 2026 National League Division Series, the 2026 National League Championship Series, & the 122nd World Series in October.

After a historic 30th MLB season on Fox, punctuated by an iconic World Series Game 7 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays, Fox is headed back on the baseball field for another season of MLB coverage in 2026. The 2026 season marks the 31st season of MLB coverage on the Fox broadcast network, and Fox Sports is planning another full season of high-profile baseball telecasts with some of the biggest names in the sport.

The 2026 MLB on Fox schedule begins with the first of 23 “Baseball Night in America” windows on Saturday, March 28, beginning at 7:00 PM (ET). In one game, Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees travel out West to face Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants. In another matchup, Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals play Ozzie Albies and the Atlanta Braves from Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Then, in July, Fox televises the 96th MLB All-Star Game from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, July 14 at 8:00 PM ET. This year’s Midsummer Classic from Philadelphia takes place during the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4.

Highlights:

• FS1 begins its 13th season of televising live MLB games on Saturday, March 28 -- the opening weekend of the 2026 MLB regular season.

• Over 85 regular-season game telecasts across Fox and FS1.

• Fox has exclusive coverage of the 2026 MLB All-Star Game from Philadelphia on Tuesday, January 14 -- the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.

• Postseason Coverage: Fox Sports will have broadcasting rights to several marquee postseason events -- the 2026 National League Division Series, the 2026 National League Championship Series, & the 122nd World Series in October.

Following a historic 30th MLB season on Fox, highlighted by an iconic Game 7 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays, Fox is preparing to return to the baseball field for another season of MLB coverage in 2026. The upcoming season will mark the 13th year of MLB coverage on FS1, and Fox Sports intends to deliver another full season of prominent baseball telecasts featuring some of the sport’s biggest stars.

The 2026 MLB on FS1 schedule will commence on Saturday, March 28, at 4:00 PM (ET). Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins will visit offseason acquisition Pete Alonso and the Baltimore Orioles. FS1 will televise games regularly throughout the season, both during the week and on Saturdays. FS1 basically serves as a complement to Fox’s regular slate of games.

In July, Fox will broadcast the 96th MLB All-Star Game from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, July 14, at 8:00 PM ET. This year’s Midsummer Classic will take place in the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4.

As autumn arrives, Fox will focus on the 2026 Major League Baseball playoffs. Throughout October, Fox Sports will be the home of the highly anticipated postseason events, including the 2026 National League Division Series, the 2026 National League Championship Series, and the 2026 World Series presented by Capital One.

Later, Mookie Betts and the two-time defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers raise their 2025 championship banner before hosting Ketel Marte and the Arizona Diamondbacks at 8:00 PM ET.

• “MLB Sunday Leadoff” on Peacock & NBCSN starts on Sunday, May 3, as the Toronto Blue Jays square off against the Minnesota Twins (12:30 PM ET/11:30 AM CT); Leadoff games are followed by a special whip-around show - PLUS a special final day of the season whip-around show on Sunday, September 27 on Peacock & NBCSN.

• Special“Star-Spangled Sunday” features 15 nationally televised games across NBC Sports platforms during the 4th of July Weekend on Sunday, July 5.

NBC is set to get back into the baseball business in 2026, televising two enticing Opening Day games, the return of MLB Sunday Leadoff following a two-season run on Peacock (2022-23), a full season of Sunday Night Baseball, Wild Card playoff games, & a “Star-Spangled Sunday” with 15 (!!) live national broadcasts across NBC Sports (NBC, Peacock).

On Friday, January 9, NBC Sports announced its 2026 MLB regular-season schedule, with games distributed on both the NBC broadcast network and the Peacock streaming service. There will be 61 games overall, with 27 slated for some form of primetime window. 

Major League Baseball (MLB) and NBC Sports are reuniting for the first time since 2000 (sans Peacock’s two-year run as the MLB Sunday Leadoff broadcaster and the occasional Peacock simulcast on NBC from 2022-23). Previously, NBC carried MLB broadcasts from 1947 through 1989 and from 1994 through 2000, including the Saturday game of the week, the All-Star Game, the MLB playoffs, & the World Series.

Opening Day and Postseason Games:

NBC and Peacock will nationally televise a pair of MLB contests on Opening Day, Thursday, March 26.

The 2025 National League Cy Young Award winner, Paul Skenes, along with the Pittsburgh Pirates, will face off against Juan Soto and the New York Mets at 1:00 PM ET, with the game broadcast on NBC and Peacock.

The two-time defending World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers will raise their championship banner while hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks in the only primetime Major League Baseball game on Opening Day, scheduled for 8:00 PM ET on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports platforms will broadcast the entire 2026 Wild Card Series on either NBC or Peacock.

Star-Spangled Sunday:

The day following America’s 250th Birthday (Saturday, July 4), NBC will present a special “Star-Spangled Sunday,” with all 15 games designated for national television, including Mets-Braves (12:30 PM ET) and Padres-Dodgers (7:00 PM ET), airing on NBC and Peacock. Peacock will exclusively stream the remainder of the schedule.

Sunday Night Baseball:

Following a 36-season run on ESPN, “Sunday Night Baseball” will have a new broadcast home for the franchise’s 37th season in 2026. NBC will debut its version of “Sunday Night Baseball” on Sunday, March 29, as Julio Rodriguez and the Seattle Mariners host the Cleveland Guardians at 7:00 PM ET (4:00 PM PT), exclusively on Peacock. Jason Benetti will call play-by-play for “Sunday Night Baseball”. In a somewhat surprising move, NBC will use local analysts from the participating teams each week rather than have a traditional game analyst work all games.

Additional matchups on Sunday Night Baseball include: Cubs-Cardinals (May 31), Mets-Phillies (June 21), Yankees-Red Sox (June 28), Dodgers-Yankees (July 19), and much more.

MLB Sunday Leadoff:

Plus, there will be 18 games in the “MLB Sunday Leadoff” schedule, with early-afternoon games streamed on Peacock for nationwide distribution throughout the season. Matt Vasgersian will serve as lead play-by-play announcer for “MLB Sunday Peacock”. Additionally, Dave Flemming will call select games.

Hello, everyone! An early Happy New Year to you guys! Welcome to the final edition of the NFL on Fox: Field Pass for the 2025 season! Thank you for reading, as always. Here in Week 18, the NFL on Fox carries a doubleheader filled with playoff tension and anticipation as Fox readies themselves for playoff action with key high-stakes contests. Unfortunately, this is it for NFL on Fox Field Pass for 2025! I have a special message for you guys at the bottom of this article.

On Sunday, January 4, Fox will have six games throughout the afternoon. To get things started at 1:00 PM ET, we have Titans-Jaguars, Cowboys-Giants, & Saints-Falcons. Later that day, America's Game of the Week features coverage of the following games at 4:25 PM ET: Lions-Bears, Dolphins-Patriots, & Cardinals-Rams. Which matchups will Fox broadcast in your local market, and which commentary team will be assigned to your game? Read on for a full preview and analysis of the NFL on Fox Week 18 slate.

Sunday's pregame coverage on Fox begins at 11:00 AM ET with Fox NFL Kickoff presented by Little Caesars. Charissa Thompson hosts "Fox NFL Kickoff" alongside three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. "Fox NFL Kickoff" provides the first word on Sunday's games, live reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, interviews with NFL newsmakers, and much more.

Sunday's pregame slate marches forward at 12:00 PM ET with the legendary Fox NFL Sunday presented by GMC pregame show. "Fox NFL Sunday" features co-hosts Curt Menefee and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. Joining Menefee and Bradshaw at the desk are Pro Football Hall of Famers Howie Long and Michael Strahan. Additionally, four-time champion Rob Gronkowski will join the show regularly throughout the season. Lead NFL on Fox insider Jay Glazer rounds out the "Fox NFL Sunday" cast and will add notes and news from around the league as the early game kickoffs approach. "Fox NFL Sunday" includes predictions, analysis, and high-profile NFL interviews.

Tony Pollard and the Tennessee Titans (3-13) hit the road for this regular-season finale against Travis Etienne Jr. and the Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4), featuring an AFC South pairing, on Sunday, January 4 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Adam Amin (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion and (future Pro Football Hall of Famer) Drew Brees (analyst), & Kristina Pink (reporter) will cover the AFC South battle from the Sunshine State. Jacksonville is currently on a seven-game winning streak. Last week, the Jaguars defeated the Colts, 23-17, in AFC South play. And now, Jacksonville is looking to continue this special season with a couple more items of business. First up, the Jaguars can clinch the AFC South title since 2022 with a win in this game. Secondly, Jacksonville can get the #1 seed in the AFC with a win plus losses by the Broncos & Patriots. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence completed 23-for-37 attempts for 263 yards & had 2 rush TD's in Week 17 vs. the Colts. Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen had 6 tackles, a sack, & a pass defensed in Week 17 vs. the Colts.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys (7-8-1) visit Wan'Dale Robinson and the New York Giants (3-13) to conclude the 2025 regular season on Sunday, January 4 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, featuring Kevin Kugler, three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston, & Allison Williams.

Jessie Bates III and the Atlanta Falcons (7-9) host Cameron Jordan and the New Orleans Saints (6-10) in this Week 18 NFC South matchup on Sunday, January 4 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, as play-by-play commentator Chris Myers joins analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth and reporter Jennifer Hale for commentary duties.

Tremaine Edmunds and the NFC North champion Chicago Bears (11-5) host Amik Robertson and the Detroit Lions (8-8) at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday, January 4 at 4:25 PM ET on Fox, with the lead NFL on Fox team of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter), & Tom Rinaldi (reporter) announcing the NFC North battle. Lions QB Jared Goff threw five touchdowns in an earlier win over the Bears back in Week 2. The Bears clinched the NFC North title last week and currently hold the No. 2 seed in the NFC, while the Lions have been eliminated from the postseason.

Bradley Chubb and the Miami Dolphins (7-9) visit Drake Maye and the AFC East champion New England Patriots (13-3) from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Sunday, January 4 at 4:25 PM ET on Fox, with Joe Davis calling play-by-play alongside analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and Pam Oliver, who will be reporting from the sidelines. The Patriots blasted past the Jets, 42-10, in Week 17 action. With Buffalo's loss to Philadelphia last week, New England captured their first AFC East division title since 2019. New England is still alive for the #1 seed in the AFC. They need to beat the Dolphins in Week 18 and have the Broncos lose to the Chargers to get the top seed and home-field advantage. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson led the team with 102 scrimmage yards (55 receiving, 47 rushing) & had 2 TD's last week vs. the Jets. Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez had 4 tackles last week vs. the Jets.

Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams (11-5) host Calais Campbell and the Arizona Cardinals (3-13) from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, January 4 at 4:25 PM ET on Fox, as Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma (analyst), & Megan Olivi (reporter) call the NFC West action. The Rams were shocked by the Falcons, 27-24, on Monday Night Football. Los Angeles returns home to complete its regular-season schedule vs. the Cardinals, a team that they soundly defeated 45-17 back in Week 14. Looking at the playoff picture, Los Angeles is locked into a Wild Card slot, as they will either receive the #5 seed (a Rams win coupled with 49ers loss) or #6 seed (a Rams loss or a 49ers win). Rams RB Blake Corum had 128 rushing yards & a touchdown vs. the Cardinals back in Week 14. Rams CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr. had a pass defensed in Week 17 vs. the Falcons.
