Sunday, May 11, 2025 (Happy Mother's Day !!!)

  • America's Game of the Week takes center stage on Fox once again during the fall 🍁, with key matchups including Eagles vs. Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX re-match (Week 2), Lions at Bengals (Week 5), Lions at Commanders (Week 10) & Eagles vs. Bills (Week 17).
  • NFC North rivals Packers & Lions are scheduled to play each other on Thanksgiving Day at 1:00 PM (ET) on Fox.
  • The NFL on Fox will showcase 11 doubleheaders this season, the highest number by a single network. This is complemented by an exclusive Saturday doubleheader in Week 16 on Saturday, December 20.

Following the most-watched Super Bowl of all time (Super Bowl LIX: Chiefs vs. Eagles), and as Fox Sports prepares to celebrate their 32nd year of broadcasting NFL games, the network is set to return to the football fields this fall. The 2025 NFL on Fox schedule promises exciting matchups featuring the top teams and rivalries from both the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).

This season's 18-week regular season calendar is stronger than in recent years, showcasing several top-tier NFC teams, including the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (9 games), Detroit Lions (8 games), Green Bay Packers (8 games), Washington Commanders (8 games), New York Giants (8 games), and Dallas Cowboys (8 games). Additionally, there will be a selection of AFC teams on Fox in 2025, including the Buffalo Bills (3 games), Cincinnati Bengals (3 games), Baltimore Ravens (2 games), and Kansas City Chiefs (1 game).

America's Game of the Week:
America's Game of the Week commands your attention in 2025 with a lineup of fun matchups featuring clubs from the NFC & AFC. Once again, AGOTW strives to captivate football fans during the 4:25 PM ET window on Fox in 2025.

The 2025 America's Game of the Week broadcast schedule on Fox is as follows:
. Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs (Week 2) - Super Bowl LIX re-match
. Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears (Week 3)
. Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals (Week 5)
. Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys (Week 7)
. Detroit Lions at Washington Commanders (Week 10) - NFC Divisional Playoff Game re-match
. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (Week 12)
. Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (Week 13, Thanksgiving)
. Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills (Week 14)
. Detroit Lions at Los Angeles Rams (Week 15)
. Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills (Week 17)
. TBD (Week 18)

Thanksgiving Day -- Thursday, November 27 (Packers vs. Lions, 1:00 PM ET):
The NFL's annual "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration continues for the fourth consecutive year on Thursday, November 27 at 1:00 PM (ET) on Fox when Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions host Edgerrin Copper and the Green Bay Packers.

Please note that the Lions Thanksgiving game now starts at 1:00 PM (ET), instead of the 12:30 PM (ET) start that was used for a long period of time.

NFL on Fox Exclusive Week 16 Saturday Doubleheader (Eagles vs. Commanders & Packers vs. Bears, 4:30 PM ET/8:00 PM ET):
This year, Fox Sports has secured a late-season Saturday doubleheader for Week 16, which will take place on Saturday, December 20. The doubleheader will be preceded by a special one-hour pregame show. Earlier in the year, it was mentioned that Fox would feature a Saturday doubleheader before Christmas, and that is indeed happening.

In one of the games, Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will face off against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in an NFC North showdown. In the other matchup, DeVonta Smith and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will take on Jayden Daniels, the 2024 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the Washington Commanders in a rematch of the NFC Championship Game.

With this newly created doubleheader slot, Fox will have a total of 11 doubleheaders this year, marking the most doubleheaders ever by a single network in a single season. Additionally, the NFL on Fox will provide 31 broadcast windows throughout the course of the season.

NFL on Fox Studio Coverage:
NFL on Fox coverage will once again start each Sunday morning with "Fox NFL Kickoff" at 11:00 AM (ET) followed the celebrated "Fox NFL Sunday" pregame show at 12:00 PM (ET).

"Fox NFL Sunday", the top NFL pregame show in America for over three decades now, features a Pro Football Hall of Fame cast of studio analysts.

  11. Will Jonathan Vilma stay on the broadcasting team despite his arrest?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Mark T. Mark, I am quite literally hearing about Jonathan Vilma's arrest for the very first time at this very second.

Well, his status for 2025 doesn't look good following this. He should know better.

      Delete
    2. @Mark T. And Mark, as a follow-up, Vilma could be looking at some jail time for this. For example, in the state of Florida, if you drive with a suspended license (first offense), you can be facing jail time, a fine, and some probation time once you get out of jail.

If Jonathan Vilma were to get fired for this (which I think he should), who could be his potential replacements? Maybe bring Robert Smith back from college football? Or hire somebody new? I would like to hear former Eagles WR Torrey Smith and Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart call games? Throwing some newbie (would be) broadcasters out here.

      Delete
    3. Hmmm. I agree with you that he should be fired, but I have no clue who replaces him. It would make sense to go with a veteran, but I want to see them go with a rookie commentator here.

  20. Per Allison Williams on Instagram, Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston, & Allison Williams will be one of Fox's NFL commentary teams this season. Essentially, the same crew with Williams replacing Okmin.

  21. Joe Davis and Greg Olsen are expected to call the preseason game

    ReplyDelete
  22. Per Adam Amin on Instagram, Adam Amin & Mark Sanchez are back together in 2025.

So now, we have Burkhardt/Brady (#1), Davis/Olsen (#2), Amin/Sanchez (#3), Kugler/Johnston (#5). Four of the six NFL on Fox 2025 crews are now set. Waiting on Albert's crew (to see if Jonathan Vilma retains his job despite his offseason arrest), and on the #6 crew (likely Chris Myers/Mark Schlereth again).
