Baseball Night in America: Braves-Phillies or Rangers-Mariners — Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox
Baseball Night in America, Fox Sports' weekly MLB primetime series, gets set for another Saturday night of baseball coverage with regional action on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 7:00 PM ET on the Fox broadcast network. This week, two divisional matchups will be regionally televised. Most of the country will see Ronald Acuña Jr. and the Atlanta Braves play Edmundo Sosa and the Philadelphia Phillies while others get two teams from the AL West as J.P. Crawford and the Seattle Mariners host Ezequiel Duran and the Texas Rangers. Which game will you be getting and who's calling the action? Read on to find out the answers.

Drake Baldwin and the National League East-leading Atlanta Braves (11-7), compete against Kyle Schwarber and the Philadelphia Phillies (8-9) on Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

The Braves currently hold first place in the NL East after the team's first 18 games. On Tuesday night, the team narrowly defeated the visiting Marlins, 6-5, at Truist Park in Atlanta. Braves DH Dominic Smith had the biggest hit of the night, lacing a three-run double to center field in the eighth inning to help Atlanta plate three runs across the plate in one sequence. That turned out to help Atlanta score the go-ahead run in this NL East matchup vs. Miami. Braves C Drake Baldwin has had a busy start to 2026, blasting five home runs and knocking in 18 runs for his squad.

Things have been rocky in Philadelphia so far in 2026, as the team looks for the highly coveted consistency element. The reigning two-time National League East champion has had trouble putting it all together for an extended period of time. On Tuesday night, the Phillies were drilled 10-4 at home by the visiting Cubs, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Philadelphia's top three hitters didn't do too much of anything in the Tuesday 10-4 loss vs. the Cubs, as Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, and Bryce Harper went a combined 2-for-12 at the dish.

Jake Burger and the Texas Rangers (9-8), tied for first place in the American League West, face Josh Naylor and the reigning American League West champion Seattle Mariners (8-10) in a primetime division clash on Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

The Rangers are getting a taste of divisional play this week, as they are in the middle of a seven-game stretch vs. teams from their own division, with the Rangers playing the Athletics in West Sacramento Monday through Thursday, prior to traveling to the Pacific Northwest for the Mariners series this weekend. The Rangers fell 2-1 to the Athletics on Tuesday night in the second game of a four-game series. Rangers DH Joc Pederson collected three hits on the night, but it was not enough to topple a surprisingly good A's club.

The Mariners look to avenge a three-game sweep at the hands of the Rangers earlier this month (Apr. 6-8). As far as Seattle is concerned, things are looking up for them with a 4-1 record over the last five games. However, the Mariners lost 4-1 to the Padres on Tuesday night at PETCO Park in San Diego, California. Mariners RF Randy Arozarena scored the only Seattle run of the ball game. Despite that, Seattle is only game and a half back of first place in the early going, so lots of time to get it together.
