  • Dodgers, Mets Duel at Citi Field: Two National League powerhouses go toe-to-toe one more time as Freddie Freeman and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers (63-37) visit Juan Soto and the New York Mets (42-58) on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.
  • What’s Good In The West?: A pair of clubs involved in the AL West battle for the top clash under the primetime lights as Luke Raley and the Seattle Mariners (50-50) battle Brandon Nimmo and the Texas Rangers (50-49) on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

Welcome everyone to this week’s edition of MLB on Fox: On Deck! The second half of the 2026 season is now well underway, and this week, Fox Sports highlights several MLB clubs currently in contention for a postseason spot. “Fox Saturday Baseball” is set to broadcast its first-ever doubleheader of MLB game action since May 30, as FS1 rejoins Fox to broadcast MLB action (the World Cup altered Fox’s MLB schedule over the past few months).

Three games constitute Fox’s MLB lineup this week (Saturday, July 25, 2026). The Padres take on the Marlins at 4:00 PM ET on FS1, followed by regional coverage on “Baseball Night in America” (Dodgers-Mets or Mariners-Rangers) on Fox at 7:00 PM ET. We invite you to browse through this article for more coverage about Fox’s Saturday lineup for this week. Please comment on this article and/or reach out to me via email (tamirkmoore14@gmail.com) if you guys have any questions.

FS1 begins the “Fox Saturday Baseball” lineup this week, as the San Diego Padres square off against the Miami Marlins on Saturday, July 25, at 4:00 PM ET.

⮞ Padres (49-50) vs. Marlins (52-48) — Saturday, 4:00 PM ET on FS1:
Fernando Tatís Jr. and the San Diego Padres (49-50) compete against Xavier Edwards and the Miami Marlins (52-48) on Saturday, July 25, at 4:00 PM ET on FS1.

Manny Machado and the Padres are in the midst of an important stretch of the season, as the team tries to put together a second-half run towards a postseason berth. The Padres are 49-50 entering this week. San Diego smacked the Royals, 19-2, on Sunday in Kansas City thanks to Padres RF Fernando Tatis Jr. and Padres CF Jackson Merrill each collecting four RBIs. With the National League West not in the cards (thanks to the Dodgers’ large division lead), San Diego aims to snag one of the three Wild Card berths. This weekend’s opponent? The Marlins. A team looking to contend for a Wild Card berth, just like the Padres. San Diego wraps up a ten-game road trip to begin the second half with this three-game set vs. the Marlins this weekend.

How about those Marlins, folks?! Nobody expected Miami to even be involved in a playoff chase this deep into the regular season, but alas, here are the Marlins making noise in late July. The Marlins enter this week tied with the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates for the final Wild Card spot in the NL. And this weekend, they host Ty France and the San Diego Padres at loanDepot Park, in a series that features two teams eyeing Wild Card position over in the National League. Special congratulations to Marlins manager Clayton McCullough and his outfit for a successful campaign thus far!

Baseball Night in America,” Fox Sports’ weekly MLB primetime show, returns this week with two regional games on the Fox broadcast network. On Saturday, July 25, viewers can watch one of two games starting at 7:00 PM ET: the Dodgers visit the Mets at Citi Field in Queens, New York, or the Mariners battle the Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Read on for more details about Fox’s primetime schedule this week.

⮞ Dodgers (63-37) vs. Mets (42-58) — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:
Mookie Betts and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers (63-37), who possess the best record in the bigs, continue their nine-game road trip to start the second half of the season with this Saturday matchup against Francisco Alvarez and the New York Mets (42-58) on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

LA is on a mission to capture the club’s third consecutive World Series championship, which has not been done since Derek Jeter’s 1998-2000 New York Yankees teams. The Mets series is the final leg of a three-city, nine-game road trip for Los Angeles, as the Dodgers spend extended time playing their games in the Eastern Time Zone. The Dodgers split a doubleheader vs. the Yankees on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. In Game 1, Dodgers P Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw a complete game as the Dodgers destroyed the Yankees 8-2. In Game 2, Yankees 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a go-ahead home run as New York salvaged the doubleheader with a 2-1 victory.

The 2026 season has been rather disappointing for the Mets. At 42-58, they trail the Braves by 16 games for the National League East lead and trail the Cardinals by 10 games for the third National League Wild Card position. However, they face the two-time reigning World Series champion Dodgers this weekend at Citi Field. A chance for New York to measure up to the best team in their league. The Mets, though, are fresh off a series victory in Philly over the weekend, capped off with a 6-1 win on Sunday, thanks to SS Francisco Lindor’s tremendous outing, going 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.

⮞ Mariners (50-50) vs. Rangers (50-49) — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox:
Colt Emerson and the Seattle Mariners (50-50) square off against Wyatt Langford and the Texas Rangers (50-49) in this crucial American League West showdown on Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

The Mariners start this week’s schedule of MLB games with a .500 record of 50-50. With two weeks remaining until the August 3 trade deadline, every series between now and then is vital for Seattle as they try to catch a summer sizzle 🔥 in their pursuit of back-to-back American League West division titles. The Mariners defeated the Giants, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Park behind six innings from starter Logan Gilbert, striking out 10 Giants, plus a pair of home runs from Luke Raley and Cole Young.

In recent months, the Rangers’ offense has shown signs of refinement as they battle with several clubs for the top spot in the American League West. Since May 29, the Rangers have slashed .264/.330/.434, with Texas leading the AL in on-base percentage, second in batting average, and third in slugging percentage. Despite that, Texas looks to turn the page following a series loss in Atlanta to the Braves, dropping two of three in that three-game series. On Sunday, the Braves defeated the Rangers 8-5, with the Rangers’ offense going 3-for-9 with runners in scoring position (RISP).
