The Guardians (3-2) continue their seven-game season-opening West Coast road trip, with stops in Seattle and Los Angeles. The Guardians faced Cal Raleigh and the defending AL West champion Seattle Mariners over at T-Mobile Park in the opening series, splitting the four-game series (with Cleveland wins on Thursday and Saturday). On Monday night, the Guardians defeated the Dodgers, 4-2, handing the defending two-time World Series champion their first loss of the season. Following a series win over the Kansas City Royals and this early-week series against the Athletics, the Braves (3-1) are set to travel to the West Coast for a early-season six-game road trip, with three games in Phoenix vs. Diamondbacks and three games in Anaheim against the Angels. On Monday, the Braves blanked the Athletics, 4-0, thanks to Mauricio Dubón's three timely hits (adding 3 runs batted in the procress). Braves 2B Ozzie Albies leads the team with a batting average of .333 through four games. Atlanta shares a first-place lead in the NL East, alongside the Mets (3-1), Nationals (3-1), & Marlins (3-1).
The Arizona Diamondbacks (1-3) are back at the friendly confines of Chase Field in Phoenix, following a series sweep at the hands their archrival Los Angeles Dodgers, to start the 2026 campaign. Saturday's game vs. Atlanta serves as one of the seven consecutive home games that the D'Backs have during this homestand. The Diamondbacks defeated the Tigers, 9-6, on Monday thanks to Corbin Carroll's first homer of the season. Arizona is two games behind the Dodgers for first place in the NL West.
