So basically every game on July 5 is on Peacock. Cool....
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Mark, welcome to the modern era of watching sports. Having to need a streaming service to watch basically everything. I hate it, buddy. How about you?
DeleteOh I hate it too. It's super annoying.
DeleteSame I think they might mlb redzone that day
DeleteThanks Tamir for creating page and compiling the schedule. Excited for this new phase of MLB on NBC.
ReplyDelete@Dangerous91 You're welcome! We will have the Fox and TBS articles up very soon.
DeleteJason benetti has been hired as the voice of MLB, you would assume they might hire a 2nd candidate for the peacock games or if there is a 2nd game that's on NBC, if so, who would that 2nd play by play announcer be?
ReplyDelete@royalsfan Yea, congratulations to Jason for this new, exciting assignment! As far as the second play-by-play commentator goes, I don't know. Some potential options, in my view, may include Tom McCarthy (Phillies TV pxp), Brandon Gaudin (Braves TV pxp), Kevin Brown (Orioles TV pxp), among others.
DeleteSeeing how they're using local analysts in a 3 man booth, I think these will be the crews on opening day:
ReplyDeletePIT-NYM: TBA, Bob Walk (Pirates), Ron Darling (Mets)
ARZ-LAD: Jason Benetti, Bob Brenly (D-Backs), Orel Hersheir (Dodgers)
I'm going to try and predict the crews for the whole schedule. I also think that Kevin Brown, the Orioles pxp guy, will be the second announcer.

the tigers-pirates game that will be on Peacock in spring training is on march 13, not March 20
ReplyDeleteIt's not i just checked it
Deletesince benetti is now the NBC guy, who will be taking over for him on FOX for the MLB season?
ReplyDelete@royalsfan I have no idea. Maybe Kevin Kugler or Connor Onion, guys who have called baseball for FOX/FS1 in recent years, get a increased role with Benetti's departure to NBC.
DeleteMatt Vasgersian will be the Sunday Leadoff Announcer! I'm so happy for him!!
ReplyDeletePirates vs mets is matt vasgersian
ReplyDeleteIs Jason Benetti under contract with both FOX and NBC?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. No. Jason Benetti is moving to NBC full-time. Benetti no longer works for Fox, and obviously, it has major repercussions in terms of Fox's #2 CFB play-by-play, regular MLB assignments, and regular men's college basketball games.
DeleteFox now has a problem because losing Jason Benetti opens up a can of worms because of everything that he did for them. Happy for Jason getting this SNB opportunity however!
Yeah. Sucks for FOX losing him. In addition to this he will still do Tigers games right?
Delete@Mark T. Correct. Jason Benetti is still doing Tigers games. He will only miss Sunday games to work games for NBC.
DeleteI heard don orsillo and kevin brown might come to commentate soon
Deletelooking at the spring training schedule, I didn't see a pirates vs tigers game scheduled for peacock at all, I just thought it might have been the 3/13 game, but I don't think it was on peacock
ReplyDeleteIt's still says march 20th on peacock 🦚 I wonder who's commentating
DeleteMarch 20th is tigers vs pirates
ReplyDeleteI didn't see it on ESPN, but I just went to MLB.com and found it, my bad
ReplyDelete
