Sunday, May 11, 2025 (Happy Mother's Day !!!)

  • America's Game of the Week takes center stage on Fox once again during the fall 🍁, with key matchups including the Eagles vs. Chiefs in a Super Bowl LIX rematch (Week 2), the Lions at Bengals (Week 5), the Lions at Commanders (Week 10) & Eagles vs. Bills (Week 17).
  • NFC North rivals Packers & Lions are scheduled to play each other on Thanksgiving Day at 1:00 PM (ET) on Fox.
  • The NFL on Fox will showcase 11 doubleheaders this season, the highest number by a single network. This is complemented by an exclusive Saturday doubleheader in Week 16 on Saturday, December 20.

Following the most-watched Super Bowl of all time (Super Bowl LIX: Chiefs vs. Eagles), and as Fox Sports prepares to celebrate its 32nd year of broadcasting NFL games, the network is set to return to the football fields this fall. The 2025 NFL on Fox schedule promises exciting matchups featuring the top teams and rivalries from both the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).

This season's 18-week regular season schedule is more competitive than in recent years, featuring several top NFC teams, including the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (9 games), Detroit Lions (8 games), Green Bay Packers (8 games), Washington Commanders (8 games), New York Giants (8 games), and Dallas Cowboys (8 games). Additionally, a selection of AFC teams will be featured on Fox in 2025, including the Buffalo Bills (3 games), Cincinnati Bengals (3 games), Baltimore Ravens (2 games), and Kansas City Chiefs (1 game).

America's Game of the Week:
America's Game of the Week commands your attention in 2025 with a lineup of fun matchups featuring clubs from the NFC & AFC. Once again, AGOTW strives to captivate football fans during the 4:25 PM ET window on Fox in 2025.

The 2025 America's Game of the Week broadcast schedule on Fox is as follows:
. Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs (Week 2) - Super Bowl LIX re-match
. Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears (Week 3)
. Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals (Week 5)
. Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys (Week 7)
. Detroit Lions at Washington Commanders (Week 10) - NFC Divisional Playoff Game rematch
. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (Week 12)
. Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (Week 13, Thanksgiving)
. Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills (Week 14)
. Detroit Lions at Los Angeles Rams (Week 15)
. Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills (Week 17)
. TBD (Week 18)

Thanksgiving Day -- Thursday, November 27 (Packers vs. Lions, 1:00 PM ET):
The NFL's annual "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration continues for the fourth consecutive year on Thursday, November 27, at 1:00 PM (ET) on Fox when Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions host Edgerrin Cooper and the Green Bay Packers.

Please note that the Lions Thanksgiving game now starts at 1:00 PM (ET), instead of the 12:30 PM (ET) start that was used for a long period of time.

NFL on Fox Exclusive Week 16 Saturday Doubleheader (Eagles vs. Commanders & Packers vs. Bears, 4:30 PM ET/8:00 PM ET):
This year, Fox Sports has secured a late-season Saturday doubleheader for Week 16, which will take place on Saturday, December 20. The doubleheader will be preceded by a special one-hour pregame show. Earlier in the year, it was mentioned that Fox would feature a Saturday doubleheader before Christmas, and that is indeed happening.

In one of the games, Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will face off against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in an NFC North showdown. In the other matchup, DeVonta Smith and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will take on Jayden Daniels, the 2024 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the Washington Commanders in a rematch of the NFC Championship Game.

With this newly created doubleheader slot, Fox will have a total of 11 doubleheaders this year, marking the most doubleheaders ever by a single network in a single season. Additionally, the NFL on Fox will provide 31 broadcast windows throughout the season.

NFL on Fox Studio Coverage:
NFL on Fox coverage will once again start each Sunday morning with "Fox NFL Kickoff" at 11:00 AM (ET), followed by the celebrated "Fox NFL Sunday" pregame show at 12:00 PM (ET).

"Fox NFL Sunday", the top NFL pregame show in America for over three decades now, features a Pro Football Hall of Fame cast of studio analysts.

The complete 2025 NFL on FOX preseason, regular season & postseason broadcast schedule is listed below. Please note that this year's NFL on FOX broadcast schedule is subject to change because of flex scheduling.

  11. Will Jonathan Vilma stay on the broadcasting team despite his arrest?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Mark T. Mark, I am quite literally hearing about Jonathan Vilma's arrest for the very first time at this very second.

Well, his status for 2025 doesn't look good following this. He should know better.

      Delete
    2. @Mark T. And Mark, as a follow-up, Vilma could be looking at some jail time for this. For example, in the state of Florida, if you drive with a suspended license (first offense), you can be facing jail time, a fine, and some probation time once you get out of jail.

If Jonathan Vilma were to get fired for this (which I think he should), who could be his potential replacements? Maybe bring Robert Smith back from college football? Or hire somebody new? I would like to hear former Eagles WR Torrey Smith and Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart call games? Throwing some newbie (would be) broadcasters out here.

      Delete
    3. Hmmm. I agree with you that he should be fired, but I have no clue who replaces him. It would make sense to go with a veteran, but I want to see them go with a rookie commentator here.

  20. Per Allison Williams on Instagram, Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston, & Allison Williams will be one of Fox's NFL commentary teams this season. Essentially, the same crew with Williams replacing Okmin.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Joe Davis and Greg Olsen are expected to call the preseason game

    ReplyDelete
  22. Per Adam Amin on Instagram, Adam Amin & Mark Sanchez are back together in 2025.

So now, we have Burkhardt/Brady (#1), Davis/Olsen (#2), Amin/Sanchez (#3), Kugler/Johnston (#5). Four of the six NFL on Fox 2025 crews are now set. Waiting on Albert's crew (to see if Jonathan Vilma retains his job despite his offseason arrest), and on the #6 crew (likely Chris Myers/Mark Schlereth again).

  47. Hello, for week 5

Burkhardt, Brady, Andrews, and Rinaldi should have Lions vs Bengals since its Americas Game of the Week.

Adam Amin should only be off for just week 5 since he is only ALDS. Amin returns to NFL to work with Greg Olsen for the rest of October while Joe Davis is handling most of the MLB postseason with John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal, and Tom Verducci.

  60. Mark Sanchez was stabbed in Indianapolis around midnight. He's in stable condition but is dealing with severe injuries. It is unlikely that he calls the Raiders vs Colts game tomorrow, and we don't know if he'll be calling games for the next few weeks as he recovers from the injuries he suffered. So someone else will likely fill in for him. We'll see. I could be wrong but I know that we you suffer a lot of injuries, you shouldn't be appearing on TV looking bad.

  62. And now, in a wild turn of events, Mark Sanchez was arrested for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, per reports. There looks to be more into this, but it remains unknown whether he is on the mic tomorrow for raiders vs colts (likely not due to severity of injuries)

    1. @taitongus The question that I have here is: Will Brady Quinn be in just for this week (LV/IND) or for multiple weeks? If Sanchez miss multiple weeks or is fired, Fox really has to figure something out.

  64. Mark Sanchez will not be working on the Raiders v Colts Week 5 game tomorrow. I wonder if Matt Millen or Brady Quinn is the replacement with Chris Myers in for Adam Amin and Kristina Pink on the sidelinesm

    1. @Mark T. Brady Quinn will sub for Mark Sanchez tomorrow on LV/IND.

Considering his arrest today, I think Mark Sanchez might be fired and replaced permanently.

Mark put Fox in a bad position for no reason whatsoever and I'm afraid Sanchez's time as an NFL broadcaster is all but done now.

      Delete
    2. I agree. I think maybe Mark Schlereth gets some more games since being on n the number six crew these days means you only get a game about two-thirds of the time. Of course, Schlereth called games with Adam Amin, Sanchez’s current partner, for four years from 2020-2023. Fox has Quinn to fill in for weeks when they need six or more crews; they obviously like him and I like what I have seen from him. It would be cool if we got to see RG3 get a couple of NFL games. Since Quinn is a college football staple for the network, it certainly seems that they will need to sign a new full-time NFL analyst next year, assuming they do part ways with Sanchez.

IMO it’s too bad if Sanchez goes away, justified though it may be. He’s one of the better mid-tier NFL announcers these days between CBS and Fox.

  67. Mark Sanchez is facing up to 6 years in prison after attacking a delivery driver this past weekend. The charge that he is facing, which is a level 5 felony battery charge for causing serious bodily harm to antoher individual, has a 1-6 year sentence in Indiana. So we can officially come to a fact that Sanchez's time as a broadcaster (for the forseeable future) is pretty much over. I know he's one of the most underrated broadcasters out there, but based on what has happened, he deserves everything coming his way.

    1. @taitongus Mark Sanchez basically screwed up, and it's kinda sad. Because like you, I liked Mark Sanchez as a color analyst. But now, he has other more important things to be concerned with. He basically ruined his professional career overnight.

  68. Since it looks like Mark Sanchez will be fired, here are my predictions for the updated announcer chart:

    1. Kevin Burkhardt/Tom Brady
    2. Joe Davis/Greg Olsen
    3. Adam Amin/Mark Schlereth (The two of them will reunite after calling games from 2020-2023)
    4. Kenny Albert/Jonathan Vilma
    5. Kevin Kugler/Daryl Johnston
    6. Chris Myers/Brady Quinn (After calling the Raiders-Colts game together, I think they'll be the permanent number 6 crew)
    7. Various announcers

    ReplyDelete
  69. So is it official that Burkhardt/Brady are staying with Rams vs Ravens even though all 3 other games at 1 ET are more appealing record wise and they always call Cowboys whenever possible?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Neal As of right now, it seems like Burkhardt/Brady will be staying on LAR/BAL (despite Lamar's injury and horrible 1-4 Baltimore record). Adam Amin said on last night's Tigers vs. Mariners ALDS Game 2 broadcast that he would be in Charlotte for Week 6 alongside Greg Olsen & Pam Oliver. Obviously, Burkhardt/Brady can't do TEN/LV due to Brady's part-ownership of the Raiders (technically, Brady is allowed to call Raiders games, but I don't think Fox wants to test that theory out). You can make a case for SEA/JAX and ARI/IND if the crew were to be switched, but I doubt it.

Sergio (a blog reader and commenter on this website) emailed me the assignments for Burkhardt/Brady a few weeks back, and of the assignments for them, was Rams vs. Ravens in Week 6. Obviously, nobody could have foreseen how terrible the Ravens would at this point in the season.

    2. Gotcha. I remember in 2022 Week 6 Burkhardt/Brady were set to call Bucs Steelers until Pittsburgh started 1-4 and then they switched to Jets Packers. Same thing happened last year in Week 4 with them originally calling Rams Bears but then switching to Eagles Bucs after Rams slow start. Hopefully FOX has or will create a plan to get Bengals Bills out of FOX Week 14 primetime window and give game of week to CHI GB (most likely), SEA ATL, LAR ARZ, or WSH MIN since you also already got the information that Burkhardt/Brady are set to call that one.

  73. Mark Schlereth has been chosen to replace Mark Sanchez as the color commentator for the current number 3 announcing team on Fox. He'll team with Chris Myers until week 10, then Adam Amin after that when Joe Davis returns from baseball. Adam Amin will be with Greg Olsen until the World Series is over. As for Mark Sanchez, given the fact that the guy who got injured by Sanchez is also suing the Fox along with Sanchez, Fox has to move on from Sanchez and save their money in case if they have to pay something to the guy who got hurt by Sanchez.

  74. Mark Schlereth will call Seattle-Jacksonville with Chris Myers

  79. It’s kinda weird that Burkhardt and Brady are not on the call for Cowboys Panthers because that game is available in most countries and meanwhile you will only hear KB and Tom in only local markets is kinda shocking. A change can happen but i remembered last year Kenny Albert Was Originally assigned to this same exact game and once the markets were out they end up switching it to Joe Davis.

    1. @Jojooo It really is. But it kinda shows you how irrelevant Rams-Ravens is from a national interest perspective.

If Lamar Jackson was healthy and if the Ravens were a MUCH BETTER team than 1-4, then I promise you that LAR/BAL would have been the primary game this week.

  80. Putting In My Week 8 Picks Because My Mom And Dad Are The Browns And Patriots Game That Week! Here They Are!
SF@HOU: Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews & Tom Rinaldi
NYG@PHI: Adam Amin, Greg Olsen & Pam Oliver
BUF@CAR: Kenny Albert, Johnathan Vilma & Megen Olivi
CLE@NE: Chris Myers, Mark Schlereth & Jennifer Hale

    1. @KMAJ I like them. I don't think Burkhardt/Brady have ever done a Texans game together as the lead crew. Since Houston looks like they are heading in the right direction (if they beat Seattle next week, they would be 3-3) and San Francisco is one of the contenders in the NFC at 4-1, it seems like Week #8 would be the best time to send Kevin & Tom to H-Town for a game.

  81. Yes i think i would switch Albert and Vilma to Bucs Saints because they do a lot of nfc south games

    1. @Ryguy101 Maybe Kristina Pink is sick. Maybe Pink is dealing with a personal matter. It's very unusual to see Pink miss three straight NFL assignments in a row.

    2. She is doing NBA on Prime this year, maybe thats a factor.

  87. I think for week 8 FOX has a lot of good options for games. There's bills panthers and 49ers texans and giants eagles. Which one do you think they will go to tamir

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Ryguy101 I think Burkhardt/Brady will call SF/HOU in my opinion due to San Fran being a large market and the fact that Houston looks better now than they did at start of the season

    2. I got Giants Eagles because of Jaxson Dart/NY draw and what happened on TNF (plus NFC East is more compact to where every team has a chance of winning)

      I now have:
      NYG PHI- Burkhardt, Brady
      BUF CAR- Albert, Vilma
      SF HOU- Kugler, Johnston
CLE NE- Myers, Schlereth (Basically #5 crew now after Sanchez incident)

TB NO- Amin, Olsen (Baker draw)
