Appearances by both Super Bowl teams: Chiefs (at Ravens on Sept. 28) & 49ers (vs. Bills on Dec. 7).
The 51st season of Monday Night Football gets underway with a doubleheader on Monday, September 14th: Steelers at Giants (7:15 p.m. ET) followed by Titans at Broncos (10:10 p.m. ET / 8:10 p.m. MT).
ESPN's coverage of Monday Night Football continues for the 15th straight year in a row. In addition for the first time since 2005, ABC will once again be televising select "Monday Night Football" games. These ABC games are Saints-Raiders (Week 2), Bills-49ers from Glendale, Arizona (Week 13) & Bills-Patriots (Week 16).
ESPN's 17-game primetime schedule features 11 of the 12 postseason teams from last season's tournament, including the Super Bowl Champion Chiefs and the NFC Champion 49ers.
In the MNF doubleheader opener (Monday, Sept. 14; 7 p.m. ET), Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger, who missed most of last season with an injury, is expected to be fully healthy and return to the football field as the Steelers visit Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants in a classic matchup of NFL teams.
In the MNF doubleheader nightcap (Monday, Sept. 14; 10 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. MT), Drew Lock and the Broncos host Ryan Tannehill and the Titans, who advanced to last year's AFC Championship game (losing to the Chiefs). The Broncos are appearing on MNF for the 29th consecutive season (1992-present). Denver has at least 1 appearance on MNF since the 1992 season.
Beginning in Week 2 (Monday, Sept. 21), MNF starts at 8 p.m. ET (with kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET).
ESPN will also carry a Wild Card Playoff Game on the weekend of January 9-10 & the 2021 Pro Bowl on Sunday, January 31 (both events simulcasted on ABC).
The new Monday Night Football booth for 2020 will be play-by-play commentator Steve Levy, analysts Brian Griese & Louis Riddick with reporter Lisa Salters.

I think week 2 should of been Jets Browns just like last year since it was the first Monday night game ever and it would make the 50th anniversary of the first Monday night game happen with the same teams
ReplyDeleteSeen a thing where it said the new MNF Crew is Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick

I hate ESPN. Not watching any of their games this year. I, for one, will be listening to living legend Kevin Harlan (who should be CBS' number one pbp guy but I don't make the decisions) on the radio making football awesome!
