The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs presented by GEICO continue next week with the Conference Finals, featuring two best-of-seven series between the last two remaining teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively. Following this, we will have the 2026 Stanley Cup Final matchup, which will be seen exclusively on ABC (their third Stanley Cup Final under the current television contract).

The Western Conference Final sees the Vegas Golden Knights face off against the Colorado Avalanche for the Western Conference title. In the East, the Carolina Hurricanes are set to battle the Sabres-Canadiens winner for the Eastern Conference championship. On this page, we will provide you with series previews of both series, a series breakdown for both sides, and finally, the daily television schedule for the Western Conference Final and the Eastern Conference Final. With that in mind, let’s get started!

Mitch Marner and the Vegas Golden Knights (P1) travel to Denver, CO to open up their Western Conference Final matchup against Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche (C1) on Wednesday, May 20 at 8:00 PM ET (6:00 PM local) on ESPN. Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Ray Ferraro (analyst) & Emily Kaplan (insider/reporter) provide commentary for the Golden Knights-Avalanche Western Conference Final.

This is the second postseason meeting between the Avalanche and Golden Knights, with Colorado claiming victory in the 2021 second-round series between the clubs.

The Avalanche won the Stanley Cup back in 2022, besting the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. Colorado appears in the Conference Final for the first time since then. Colorado has been sent home in the first round in two of the past three seasons.

The Golden Knights then followed the Avalanche as Stanley Cup champions in 2023, defeating the Florida Panthers in that year’s Stanley Cup Final. The following season, Vegas was eliminated in the first round. Last year, the Golden Knights were defeated by the Oilers in a five-game second-round series.

ESPN will surround the Western Conference Final with studio programming. “The Point”, ESPN’s weekly NHL program, will precede ALL Western Conference Final games that air on ESPN. Steve Levy hosts alongside analysts Mark Messier and P.K. Subban. Reporter Leah Hextall will provide updates from the Montrรฉal-Carolina Eastern Conference Final throughout pregame and intermission coverage.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 8:00 PM ET on TNT and truTV as Seth Jarvis and the Carolina Hurricanes (M1) welcome Alex Newhook and the Montreal Canadiens (A3) to the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kenny Albert (play-by-play) will call the Canadiens-Hurricanes Eastern Conference Final alongside analysts Eddie Olczyk and Brian Boucher, with Jackie Redmond reporting throughout the series.

The Hurricanes storm into their third Eastern Conference Final series in four seasons, this time sporting an undefeated 8-0 postseason record (sweeps over the Senators & Flyers in the first two rounds). Seth Jarvis, Logan Stankoven, and the Hurricanes are trying to win their second Stanley Cup championship since moving to Raleigh back in 1997 (2005-06 was their last championship).

With a young and exciting roster, the Canadiens have returned to the Eastern Conference Final. Montreal needed seven games to eliminate the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round, followed by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round. The Habs look to claim their first Stanley Cup (and Canada’s for that matter) since the 1992-93 season. The Canadiens seek to continue this story, led by Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson.

Turner Sports’ Eastern Conference Final coverage will be bolstered by pregame and postgame programming from the site of the Eastern Conference Final. Liam McHugh hosts studio shows alongside hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, Hall of Famer Henrik Lundqvist, 10-year NHL veteran Anson Carter & Calder Cup champion Paul Bissonnette.

If any additional games are needed after Game 4 of each respective conference finals, those games will be played between Thursday, May 28, and Tuesday, June 2.

Further details about both Conference Final series will be provided when available.
