Highlights for the Week 14 NFL on CBS: Field Pass (Sunday, December 8):
  • "The Race for the Postseason" continues Sunday, December 8 with regional action on CBS, including the NFC West Seahawks-Cardinals battle, and games involving the Dolphins (vs. Jets), Steelers (vs. Browns) & Buccaneers (vs. Raiders) with postseason implications.
  • "The NFL Today" previews the Week 14 CBS schedule, starting at 12:00 PM ET, featuring the studio team of James Brown, Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, JJ Watt, Bill Cowher & Jonathan Jones.
  • As Week 14 approaches, several playoff contenders are set for matchups on CBS, including Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Miami, Seattle & Arizona.
  • Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns (3-9) head to Pittsburgh to try shock Cameron Heyward and the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) for the second time in three weeks on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS.
  • A high stakes NFC West showdown in the desert as Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks (7-5) face off against Sean Murphy-Bunting and the Arizona Cardinals (6-6) on Sunday, December 8 at 4:05 PM ET on CBS.

Hi, everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and your family. And now, we look ahead to Week 14 as the first full week of December concludes with a full slate of regional action on CBS this Sunday, December 8. There is less than one month left in the NFL's 105th regular season, so these last few regular season weeks come with more higher stakes than earlier in the season. With that in mind, let me provide you with an official welcome to the Week 14 NFL on CBS: Field Pass.

On Sunday (December 8), CBS Sports will regionally televise one of five games to stations (markets) across the country. These games include: Browns at Steelers (1:00 PM ET), Jets at Dolphins (1:00 PM ET), Jaguars at Titans (1:00 PM ET), Raiders at Buccaneers (1:00 PM ET) & Seahawks at Cardinals (4:05 PM ET, late). Which CBS contest is your market scheduled to receive and which announcer pairing will you be listening to? Read on to figure out the answer.

For this week's NFL on CBS: Field Pass, we will cover several topics that include: the weekly broadcast schedule, commentators for each of the games on CBS this week & distribution splits (in terms of individual markets). I really do appreciate your interest and thirst for the regionalization articles that I publish each week about the National Football League. Let's get the ball rolling on Week 14 (Week 14, already?!)

As per usual, CBS Sports will preview the forthcoming Week 14 NFL on CBS slate on "The NFL Today", starting at 12:00 PM ET. James Brown hosts the one-hour program alongside a full cast of analysts and football pundits, including Hall of Fame coach Bill Cowher, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan & three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt. Additionally, lead CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones appears on the program to provide the latest news and information from around the National Football League leading up to the kickoff of Sunday's games.

For viewers scheduled to receive an early game as the lone CBS game this week, live coverage begins at 1:00 PM ET. CBS will be regionalizing four games during this window - Browns at Steelers (Primary; 63% of Markets), Jets at Dolphins (11% of Markets), Jaguars at Titans (6% of Markets) & Raiders at Buccaneers (5% of Markets). We will set you up for these early afternoon games with brief "capsules".

Two longtime AFC North enemies butt heads one more time as Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns (3-9) visit Minkah Fitzpatrick and the current AFC North leader Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Following a postseason appearance in 2023, the Browns regressed hard in 2024, coming into Sunday's Week 14 game with an abysmal 3-9 record and basically eliminated from the playoff picture. The Browns face a disadvantage of playing in a short week, as the team strives to put Monday's 41-32 loss to the Broncos behind them and potentially shock the Steelers again. The Steelers have picked up victories in six of their last seven games, with last Sunday's 44-38 win over the Bengals being the most recent game. The Steelers are sitting pretty with the #3 seed in the AFC as things currently stand, but they want a much higher seed than that. Back in Week 12 on a snowy Thursday night in Cleveland, the Browns upset the Steelers 24-19 on "Thursday Night Football" as Browns DE (and reigning Defensive Player of the Year) Myles Garrett got three sacks on the night and Browns RB Nick Chubb put up a game-winning tuddy with under a minute remaining. The Steelers try to get some sweet revenge in this divisional duel. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Browns-Steelers game on CBS will be announced by CBS's top NFL team - play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, analyst and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets (3-9) attempt to place a major dent in the playoff hopes for Jaylen Waddle and the Miami Dolphins (5-7) during this AFC East confrontation on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Following an encouraging 2-1 start, the wheels have fallen off the bus as the Jets have dropped eight of their last nine games. Last week, the Jets were defeated 26-21 by the Seahawks at MetLife Stadium. With a loss this week, the Jets are officially eliminated from postseason contention. As for the Dolphins, they have at least some hope for the playoffs after a poor 2-6 start. On Thanksgiving night, the Dolphins were conquered by the Packers 30-17. The Dolphins have had ten days to prepare for this AFC East game. Miami currently trails Denver by two and a half games for the seventh and final playoff spot. The Dolphins have NO margin for error the rest of the way as they try to stay in the playoff hunt. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 185 yards & tossed two touchdown passes vs. the Seahawks last week. In last Sunday's loss to Seattle, Jets WR Garrett Wilson caught five catches for 41 yards. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa completed a career high 37 of 46 pass attempts for season-best 365 yards with 2 TD, 0 INT's & 114.2 rating last week vs. the Packers. Dolphins LB Jordyn Brooks looks to record his fifth straight game at least nine tackles during game action. πŸŽ™Sunday's Jets-Dolphins game will be televised on CBS, with play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins teaming up for the presentation.

A couple of AFC South teams share the Nissan Stadium field this weekend as Darnell Savage and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) take on Calvin Ridley and the Tennessee Titans (3-9) on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Jaguars-Titans matchup will be on CBS, as play-by-play commentator Andrew Catalon joins analyst and Super Bowl champion defensive back Jason McCourty, analyst and three-time Pro Bowl running back Tiki Barber and reporter AJ Ross for game commentary duties.

A re-match of Super Bowl XXXVII takes place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, as Alexander Mattison and the struggling Las Vegas Raiders (2-10) provide the opposition for Baker Mayfield and the motivated Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6), aspiring for a potential top spot in the NFC South pending Tampa Bay's game vs. the Raiders and the Falcons-Vikings game, on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Raiders walk into Week 14 play with a dreadful 2-10 record and are already eliminated from postseason contention. For the third straight season, the Raiders will miss the postseason as the first full season of the Antonio Pierce experiment has a disastrous one. On Black Friday, the Raiders fell short in a gut-wrenching 19-17 loss to the Chiefs. Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. and his team are hunting a third straight win, as Tampa Bay tries to climb above .500 with a victory this week. Last week, the Buccaneers were overtime winners 26-23 against the Panthers on the road. Sunday's game is essential for Tampa Bay to win, as they need a victory to keep pace for the division and a wild card spot (if the NFC South doesn't bounce their way). Buccaneers WR Mike Evans had himself a good day at the office vs. the Panthers last week, inhaling eight balls for 118 yards & 7th receiving touchdown of the season. Buccaneers NT Vita Vea has had a huge 2024, as he has totaled a career-high nine tackles for loss so far. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Raiders-Buccaneers clash will be televised on CBS with Spero Dedes (play-by-play) and former NFL safety Adam Archuleta (analyst) following the action in the booth. Reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala contributes to the broadcast from field level.

In the event that you will be getting a late afternoon matchup as the one CBS game for the weekend, the broadcast will then begin at 4:05 PM ET (kickoff time; the broadcast will begin at 4:00 PM ET). There is one game that CBS will be televising in the late afternoon window as DK Metcalf and the Seattle Seahawks (7-5) visit Marvin Harrison Jr. and the Arizona Cardinals (6-6) in a crucial NFC West duel. More information regarding the Seahawks-Cardinals coming up in just a moment.

For the second time in three weeks, Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks (7-5) matched up with Budda Baker and the Arizona Cardinals (6-6) on Sunday, December 8 at 4:05 PM ET on CBS. The Seahawks have won three straight games to get into the top spot in the NFC West division, including a 26-21 win over the Jets last week. The Cardinals are experiencing a mini stumble following their Week 11 bye, as the team has lost two straight games after the week off, including last week's 23-22 heartbreaking loss to the Vikings. In Week 12, the Seahawks won against the Cardinals 16-6, as Seahawks DE Leonard Williams put up 2.5 sacks and Seahawks S Coby Bryant returned an interception 69 yards for a Seahawks score. And now, the Cardinals look for revenge in the second and final regular season meeting between these divisional foes. The Seahawks have the #3 seed in the NFC while the Cardinals sit on the outside looking in as far as the NFC playoff picture is concerned (needless to say, Sunday's game will contribute greatly towards the potential postseason dreams for both squads). πŸŽ™ Sunday's Seahawks-Cardinals game will be televised by CBS, with the broadcast team of Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst) & Evan Washburn (reporter) calling the action.

Highlights of the Week #13 NFL on FOX: Field Pass
  • There's plenty of room for a Thanksgiving feast and some leftovers with two airings of the NFL on FOX this week - Giants vs. Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28) & a regional afternoon of Week 13 coverage on Sunday, December 1. Six total games on FOX's slate this week (sans Giants-Cowboys on Thanksgiving), including Cardinals-Vikings (1:00 PM ET), Seahawks-Jets (1:00 PM ET), Texans-Jaguars (1:00 PM ET), Rams-Saints (4:05 PM ET), Buccaneers-Panthers (4:05 PM ET) on Sunday.
  • Week 13 brings us teams battling for the NFC West (Cardinals, Seahawks & Rams), trying to get back on track (Texans), looking for back-to-back victories (Buccaneers) & attempting to spoil the Thanksgiving/postseason vibes (Jets, Saints, Panthers & Jaguars).
  • A great John Madden quote ahead of Thursday's third annual "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration (Giants vs. Cowboys on FOX): "There's just certain things that go together. The turkey, the family, the tradition, football, and we have it all today."
  • The "FOX NFL Sunday" crew (Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson [Thursday], Rob Gronkowski [Sunday], Jay Glazer) working double time this week, with Thursday's show at 4:00 PM ET and Sunday's show at the traditional 12:00 PM ET timeslot.
  • Two NFC contenders link up in the Twin Cities as Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals (6-5) take on Jordan Addison and scorching hot Minnesota Vikings (9-2) on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX.

πŸ¦ƒ Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! I hope all of you enjoy this holiday with the people that are closest to you (family, friends, etc.). Hopefully, the Turkey, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, the ham, and all of your Thanksgiving meal is delicious and enjoyable. Plus, treat yourself nice to a holiday gift or two on Black Friday (since plenty of deals will be taking place around that time).

In the short term, as we turn our attention back to football, it's now time for the Week 13 edition of the NFL on FOX: Field Pass. With Thanksgiving now upon us, the playoff picture starts to come into focus as the final six weeks of this 2024 NFL Season are set to unfold in front of our very eyes. Time flies!

FOX has six games during this Thanksgiving week, combining Thursday's Thanksgiving Giants-Cowboys game and Sunday's games. On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28), Malik Nabers and the struggling New York Giants (2-9) visit Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys (4-7) in a classic NFC East rivalry game at 4:30 PM (ET) on FOX.

Moving forward to Sunday (December 1), FOX has the singleheader with five games on the docket. At 1:00 PM ET, three games are scheduled: Cardinals at Vikings, Seahawks at Jets & Texans at Jaguars. At 4:05 PM ET, two games are scheduled: Rams at Saints and Buccaneers at Panthers.

In this week's NFL on FOX: Field Pass, everything regarding Thanksgiving Day and Sunday's games is set to be discussed and analyzed in an article format. Several key elements, including the broadcast schedule, announcer assignments and distribution will be featured heavily. This article is your go-to-guide for the week ahead. Yessir!

To get us going, let's dive into Thursday's (Thursday, November 28) Thanksgiving Day matchup. Pregame coverage of Giants vs. Cowboys begins at 4:00 PM ET on FOX, as co-hosts Curt Menefee and Terry Bradshaw alongside Hall of Famers Howie Long, Michael Strahan & Jimmy Johnson with insider Jay Glazer set the table for this NFC East battle. Of course, FOX's presentation of Giants vs. Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day is during the third annual "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration, as we honor the legendary coach and commentator. Rest in Peace, Coach Madden.

At 4:30 PM ET on FOX, Isaiah Simmons and the New York Giants (2-9) visit Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys (4-7) for this Thanksgiving game. The Giants are all but eliminated from postseason contention in 2024. The Cowboys are barely hanging on and can't afford any more slip ups if they want to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Giants enter Thanksgiving on a six-game losing streak, losing 30-7 to the Buccaneers last week. The Cowboys arrive at Turkey Day in a good mood, following a crazy 34-26 win over the Commanders to halt a five-game losing streak. The Giants are playing on Thanksgiving Day for the 17th time (7-6-3), while the Cowboys make their 57th Thanksgiving Day appearance (33-22-1). Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. compiled 70 scrimmage yards (42 rush, 28 rec.) in Week 12 vs. the Buccaneers. Giants DL Dexter Lawrence had his fifth career forced fumble vs. the Buccaneers last week. Cowboys LB Micah Parsons has picked up a sack in each of his first three Thanksgiving games and can become the fifth player since 1982 with a sack in four straight Thanksgiving contests, joining Greg Ellis (2004-08), Ed "Too Tall" Jones (1982-85), Tony Tolbert (1990-93) & Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy White (1982-85). Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had his 12th career game with 10+ receptions last week vs. the Commanders. πŸŽ™ For the first time, play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt and analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady share a booth on Thanksgiving, joined by reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.

Once the Giants vs. Cowboys game wraps up, stay tuned as Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson & Jay Glazer present postgame coverage, starting at 7:30 PM ET on FOX.

Live coverage of Thanksgiving weekend football on FOX continues on Sunday (December 1), with regional coverage of games all throughout the afternoon.

Sunday's Week 13 regional coverage on FOX commences at 11:00 AM ET with FOX NFL Kickoff presented by Little Casears. Emanating from Los Angeles, Charissa Thompson hosts alongside a group of respected and esteemed analysts, including Hall of Famer Charles Woodson, four-time Pro Bowler Michael Vick & three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. Also, insider Peter Schrager updates viewers throughout the show on topical matters surrounding the National Football League. To top it off, Colin Cowherd and Cooper Manning contribute packaged segments. "FOX NFL Kickoff" offers a first preview at Sunday's game slate. The show will have exclusive interviews with NFL newsmakers, live updates from the sites of the games, predictions and opinion.

Pregame coverage on Sunday resumes at 12:00 PM ET on FOX with FOX NFL Sunday presented by GMC. For the second time this week, Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan & Jay Glazer appear to spearhead a pregame program. Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski will sub in for Jimmy Johnson during Sunday's studio programming. "FOX NFL Sunday" features the latest news and information from around the NFL, predictions, interviews with key NFL newsmakers, and more.

FOX takes the field for the early game kickoffs, beginning at 1:00 PM ET, for audiences set to receive an early game as their only game of the day. FOX has a three-game lineup at 1:00 PM ET this week, with games including: Cardinals at Vikings (53% of Markets), Seahawks at Jets (12% of Markets) & Texans at Jaguars (4% of Markets). I will describe these games briefly over the following paragraphs in order to serve you a course of football knowledge.

Two NFC contenders meet in Week 13 as Sean Murphy-Bunting and the Arizona Cardinals (6-5) play Sam Darnold and the blazing hot Minnesota Vikings (9-2) on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. We have a case here of two teams bouncing back following a season without playoffs in 2023 as both the Cardinals and Vikings support winning records here in Week 13. Following a recent four-game winning streak, the Cardinals dropped a game for the first time in quite some time last week, losing 16-6 vs. the Seahawks. The Vikings are starting to round into form at the right time, as the team has won four straight games, including a 30-27 OT victory over the Bears last week. The Cardinals are threatening for a postseason berth, as they trail the Commanders (7-5) for the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC entering Week 13. The Vikings have the #5 seed in the NFC playoff bracket at the moment. Cardinals TE Trey McBride ranks second among tight ends in receiving yards (685) and third in receptions (61) this season and can join Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (10 straight road games from 2019-20) as the only tight ends in NFL history with five-or-more receptions in 10 consecutive road games. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson ranks second in the NFL with 939 receiving yards in 2024 and can become fourth player in NFL history with at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first five career seasons, joining Pro Hall of Famer Randy Moss, Mike Evans, A.J. Green. πŸŽ™ Joe Davis calls the play-by-play for Sunday's Cardinals-Vikings game on FOX, with analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and reporter Pam Oliver.

A pair of AFC South clubs share a football field together on this Thanksgiving weekend as Tank Dell and his Houston Texans (7-5) square off against Darnell Savage Jr. and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9) on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Texans are currently the #4 seed in the AFC, despite last week's SHOCKING 32-27 loss to the Titans. The Texans are currently in a puzzling stretch, dropping four of their previous six games (with wins over the Colts in Week 8 & Cowboys in Week 11). The Texans can't afford to mess around and drop a game they could use for playoff/division positioning. In the wake of a ugly 52-6 loss to the Lions in Week 11, the Jaguars enjoyed their bye last week (and they definitely needed it). The Jaguars are taking on the role of spoiler, as their season is dead in the water. Texans WR Nico Collins had 5 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown vs. the Titans in Week 12. Texans DE Danielle Hunter finished last week's game vs. Tennessee with 7 combined tackles & five tackles for loss. Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. snagged five passes for a team-high 82 yards in Week 11 vs. the Lions. Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd has 5+ tackles in 6 of past 7. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Texans-Jaguars game will be televised on FOX, with play-by-play commentator Kevin Kugler, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston & sideline reporter Laura Okmin calling the action.

Leonard Williams and the Seattle Seahawks (6-5), tied for first place in the NFC West, travel cross country to match up with Davante Adams and the New York Jets (3-8) on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Seahawks are turning a corner following their Week 10 bye, beating the 49ers 20-17 in Week 11 & the Cardinals 16-6 in Week 12, acquiring two key divisional wins in a tight division race. The Jets have had another season to forget, as the Jets lost two straight games entering their Week 11 bye - a 31-6 loss to the Cardinals in Week 10 & a 28-27 loss to the Colts in Week 11. As Week 13 begins, the Seahawks have the #3 seed in the NFC (thanks to tiebreakers). Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald is the only first time head coach and one of four coaches in his first season with a franchise - Raheem Morris (Falcons), Jim Harbaugh (Chargers) & Dan Quinn (Commanders) - to have a winning record in 2024. Seahawks WR DK Metcalf needs just four more catches for sixth straight 50+ catch season. Jets DL Quinnen Williams has six sacks so far in 2024. Jets RB Breece Hall has nine games this year with at least 80+ scrimmage yards (the most in the NFL). πŸŽ™ Sunday's Seahawks-Jets broadcast is set to be carried by FOX, as play-by-play commentator Adam Amin teams up with analyst and former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and reporter Kristina Pink for coverage of the game.

In the case of FOX markets/stations getting a late game instead on Sunday, coverage begins at 4:00 PM ET with a kickoff time of 4:05 PM ET. Two games are set to be regionalized in the 4:05 PM ET window on FOX this Sunday: Rams at Saints (19% of Markets) & Buccaneers at Panthers (12% of Markets). Additional details about Rams-Saints and Buccaneers-Panthers will be discussed in just a moment.

Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams (5-6) search for a very important win to begin the month of December in New Orleans against Demario Davis (4-7) and the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, December 1 at 4:05 PM ET on FOX. Prior to last Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Eagles on "Sunday Night Football", the Rams produced wins in four of five games. Now, the Rams need to hit reset as the calendar month of December opens up in hostile territory as they face a dangerous Saints squad at the Casears Superdome. The Saints, on the other hand, have found recent success following a seven-game losing streak earlier this year. The Saints beat the Falcons 20-17 in Week 10 & bested the Browns 35-14 in Week 11, prior to the team's Week 12 bye. As of now, both teams are currently on the outside looking in, with the Rams having better chances to get a playoff spot (the Saints' playoff chances are pretty slim, barring a miracle). Rams WR Puka Nacua led the team with nine catches & 117 yards in Week 12 vs. the Eagles. Rams LB Christian Rozeboom recorded a single-game career high 12 tackles vs. the Eagles (7 tackles, 5 assisted). Saints LB Demario Davis had a field day vs. the Browns back in Week 11, totaling 13 tackles during the Saints' win. Newly acquired Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling made an impact on his new team, grabbing a touchdown reception vs. the Browns in Week 11. πŸŽ™ Longtime NFL on FOX play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert and analyst, Super Bowl champion, and former Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma serve as the commentary duo for Sunday's Rams-Saints game. Reporter Megan Olivi joins the duo to cover the sidelines.

A divisional duel from the NFC South is the big story as Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) travel to Charlotte for a meeting with Chuba Hubbard and the Carolina Panthers (3-8) on Sunday, December 1 at 4:05 PM ET on FOX. In the aftermath of last week's 30-7 blowout win over the Giants, the Buccaneers on the verge now of getting back to .500 on the season (6-6). And obviously, this is a must-win for Tampa Bay on multiple fronts, as they trail Washington by a game and a half for the final NFC Wild Card spot. As far as the division is concerned, Tampa Bay is still a player in the NFC South race, as they trail the Falcons by one game as Week 13 starts up (however, Atlanta has a head-to-head tiebreaker over Tampa Bay). The Panthers' season has been a complete disappointment as the team sits with an abysmal 3-8 record (and pretty much OUT of the playoff picture). To their credit, they played a competitive game against the defending two-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs last week, losing a heartbreaker 30-27 as time expired. Since Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield joined the Buccaneers in 2023, he leads the league in passing touchdowns (52). The Buccaneers' defense has been responsible for 30 sacks since Week 4, the second most in the league in that span, only trailing the Broncos (33 sacks). Panthers QB Bryce Young passed for a season-high 263 yards & TD vs. 0 INT's for a season-high 92.9 rating in Week 12 vs. the Chiefs. Panthers CB Jaycee Horn had his first-ever career sack last week vs. the Chiefs. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Buccaneers-Panthers battle will be seen nationally on FOX, with the broadcast team of Chris Myers (play-by-play), three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth (analyst) & Jen Hale (reporter) set to call the action on the field.

Highlights of the Week 13 NFL on CBS: Field Pass:
  • Start your holiday πŸŽ„ season with two days of football on CBS Sports this Thanksgiving week - Thursday, November 28 with Bears vs. Lions at 12:30 PM ET followed by a doubleheader on Sunday, December 1, highlighted by Eagles vs. Ravens at 4:25 PM ET.
  • As we celebrate the third annual John Madden Thanksgiving later on this week, here's a quote from the legendary coach and broadcaster: "There's no place that I would rather be today on Thanksgiving than right here, right now, at a football game."
  • Other games in the NFL on CBS Week 13 doubleheader Sunday lineup include: Chargers vs. Falcons (1:00 PM ET), Colts vs. Patriots (1:00 PM ET), Steelers vs. Bengals (1:00 PM ET) & Titans vs. Commanders (1:00 PM ET).
  • "The NFL Today", CBS's top-tier pregame show featuring James Brown, Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, Bill Cowher and Jonathan Jones, to air TWICE this week - Thursday and Sunday, both at 12:00 PM ET.
  • A exciting interconference matchup highlights CBS's Thanksgiving week schedule as Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) visit Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens (8-4) in a premier matchup of two of the league's top runners on Sunday, December 1 at 4:25 PM ET on CBS.

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving πŸ¦ƒ! I can't believe we are now at the start of yet another holiday season. I certainly want to wish you and your family a safe and delightful Thanksgiving and joyous holiday season. Meanwhile, welcome into this special Week 13 edition of the NFL on CBS: Field Pass. This week sees a double feature, as Thursday's Thanksgiving game (Bears-Lions) and Sunday's doubleheader will be included.

CBS will have a grand total of six games this week when you factor in Thanksgiving Day and Sunday afternoon. On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28), two NFC North rivals meet up on Turkey Day as David Montgomery and the red-hot Detroit Lions (10-1) host rookie wideout Rome Odunze and the slumping Chicago Bears (4-7) at 12:30 PM ET on CBS.

Then, on Sunday, December 1, CBS continues Week 13 coverage with a doubleheader featuring five games. In the early window (1:00 PM ET), we have Steelers at Bengals, Chargers at Falcons, Colts at Patriots and Titans at Commanders. Later on, the entire nation gets a NFC vs. AFC matchup on CBS as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) oppose reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at 4:25 PM ET.

For this week's edition of the NFL on CBS: Field Pass, we will have all of the pertinent information that you need to watch and consume the game during this Thanksgiving week (Thursday & Sunday), including announcer assignments, distribution, and television schedule. I hope you enjoy this week's presentation and let's proceed onwards!

We begin our NFL on CBS tour this weekend on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28 with a full-national game matchup (Chicago vs. Detroit) surrounding the third annual "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration.

Beginning at 12:00 PM ET on CBS, CBS previews the Thanksgiving Day game (as part of the "John Madden Thanksgiving" celebration) with a special Thanksgiving Day edition of "The NFL Today". Host James Brown leads the program, joined on-set by a renowned panel of football experts - analyst and former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, analyst and Hall of Famer Bill Cowher & analyst and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Jonathan Jones completes the on-air roster as the "insider", providing the scoop on timely NFL league news.

CBS televises the first of three "John Madden Thanksgiving" games at 12:30 PM ET as rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the struggling Chicago Bears (4-7) try to slow down the unremitting force, better known as Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions (10-1). The bottom is falling out in the Windy City, as the Bears have fallen short in five straight games following a surprising 4-2 start, including last Sunday's crushing 30-27 OT loss to the Vikings. In the Motor City, things are pretty damn good, as the Lions have won NINE (!!) straight games (obviously, the longest winning streak in the league) to find themselves at 10-1. Last week, the Lions defeated the Colts 24-6 in Indianapolis. Obviously, the Bears HAVE to win on Thanksgiving Day to keep their fading Wild Card hopes alive. As for the Lions, Jared Goff and his team have an opportunity to clinch a postseason berth with a win and some help from some other teams across the league this week. The Bears play on Thanksgiving for the 38th time (20-15-2) and the Lions appear on Thanksgiving for the 85th time (37-45-2) dating back to 1934. The Bears have won three straight Thanksgiving games over the Lions (2018-19, 2021). Believe it or not, the Lions haven't won on Thanksgiving since 2016. πŸŽ™ CBS will televise the Bears vs. Lions clash on Thanksgiving to a national audience, as Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst) & Tracy Wolfson (reporter) call a Thanksgiving game for the eighth consecutive year together.

Following the conclusion of the Bears vs. Lions Thanksgiving Day contest in Detroit, CBS Sports plans to wrap up the Thanksgiving action with a special postgame show at 3:30 PM ET with James Brown, Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, Bill Cowher & Jonathan Jones.

The Week 13 Thanksgiving weekend CBS slate continues with a second helping of football on Sunday, December 1, featuring a doubleheader (involving Eagles vs. Ravens as the centerpiece).

Sunday's Week 13 must-see doubleheader starts off in the studio with the traditional airing of "The NFL Today" at 12:00 PM ET on CBS. For the second time this week, James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher, Matt Ryan, Jonathan Jones appear on a pregame show to preview what's happening in just a few minutes.

CBS will make the move from the studio to the NFL game venues for the first game of the national doubleheader at 1:00 PM ET. Four games are regionalized in this window, including Steelers at Bengals (66% of Markets), Chargers at Falcons (17% of Markets), Titans at Commanders (10% of Markets) & Colts at Patriots (7% of Markets). We will talk about each one of these four early CBS matchups in further detail.

DeShon Elliott and his Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) try to remain in the first place in the AFC North against Tee Higgins and a desperate Cincinnati Bengals (4-7), trying to keep their postseason dreams alive, on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Steelers suffered a major bump in the road with a stunning 24-19 loss to the Browns in a snow globe last week on "Thursday Night Football". Before the Browns game, the Steelers had won five straight games. The Steelers check in as the #3 seed in the AFC & the AFC North leader entering Week 13. The Bengals are falling off a cliff, as the team dropped three of four before the team's Week 12 bye week (including a 34-27 loss to the Chargers in Week 11 on "Sunday Night Football"). And now, the Bengals are running out of time to salvage their season. The Bengals can't afford to lose any more games if they have a shot to make the playoffs this season. Steelers QB Russell Wilson completed 21 of 28 attempts for 270 yards & TD vs. 0 INT's with season best 116.7 rating last week vs. the Browns. Steelers LB Patrick Queen aims for his 5th in a row with 7+ tackles. Bengals QB Joe Burrow passed for 356 yards & 3 TD's vs. 0 INT's with 98.4 rating in Week 11, 5th game this season with 3+ TD passes & 4th game with 300+ pass yards, both tied-most in the NFL. Bengals S Geno Stone led team with season-high 9 tackles in Week 11 vs. the Chargers. πŸŽ™ Play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle, analyst Charles Davis and reporter Evan Washburn provide commentary from Cincinnati's Paycor Stadium.

Khalil Mack and the Los Angeles Chargers (7-4) head to Atlanta to duel with Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons (6-5) in a game that means a lot for both sides on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Chargers had been on a roll recently (winning four straight games), before last week's 30-23 loss to the Ravens on "Monday Night Football". Despite the Ravens loss, the Chargers are in a pretty good spot in Week 13 as they have one of three AFC Wild Card spots. The Falcons are well rested entering Sunday's home game vs. the Chargers. The Falcons last played on Sunday, November 17, getting crushed 38-6 by the Denver Broncos (Week #11). The Falcons are currently the #4 seed in the NFC, seeing that they currently lead the NFC South. Since entering the league in 2020, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has 19,627 passing yards and can surpass Jameis Winston (19,737 passing yards) for the second most passing yards by a player in his first five seasons in NFL history. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson ranks fifth in the NFL with 1,142 scrimmage yards this season and his seven games with at least 100 scrimmage yards, tied for the second-most in the league this season. Chargers RB Gus Edwards rushed for his first touchdown of the season last week vs. the Ravens. Falcons S Jessie Bates III had a pass deflection, forced fumble and led the team with 10 tackles in Week 11 vs. the Broncos. πŸŽ™ This week's Chargers at Falcons broadcast team on CBS features play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins.

Calvin Ridley and the Tennessee Titans (3-8) look to place a monkey wrench into Bobby Wagner and the Washington Commanders (7-5) plans for postseason play as the two sides meet in interconference play on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. For Tennessee, this season has been a complete disaster as the team starts Week 13 with a poor 3-8 record and is basically eliminated from any postseason hopes. The Titans, did shock the Texans last week, winning 32-27 down in Houston. The Commanders are trying to stop the bleeding, as the club is on a three-game losing streak, including last week's 34-26 loss to the Cowboys. Despite Washington's recent turbulence, the Commanders still have a postseason spot right now, as they own the #7 seed in the NFC (the final playoff spot). Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (rookie) has 2,613 passing yards and 556 rushing yards this season and become the fourth rookie quarterback in NFL history with at least 2,5000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards, joining Robert Griffin III (2012), Kyler Murray (2019) and Cam Newton (2011). Last week, Titans RB Tony Pollard rushed for 119 yards and scored one touchdown vs. the Texans. In Week 12, Titans K Nick Folk made three field goals vs. the Texans. Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. has 70+ scrimmage yards in 3 of his past 4 games. πŸŽ™ Play-by-play commentator Andrew Catalon, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty, analyst and three-time Pro Bowl running back Tiki Barber and reporter AJ Ross are set for Sunday's Titans at Commanders CBS presentation.

Longtime AFC foes renew their rivalry as Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts (5-7) take a trip to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough to confront Kyle Dugger and the New England Patriots (3-9) on Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. This is a big game for Indianapolis, as they trail Denver by two games for the final AFC Wild Card spot & two games behind Houston for the AFC South lead. This is a classic case of the team needing to do their job and beat up on the inferior opponent. Last week, the Colts suffered a 24-6 loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions. As for New England, Jerod Mayo's squad has had an awful season and they are facing potential elimination from the postseason a loss combined with some other things this weekend. The Patriots lost 34-15 to the Dolphins last Sunday. Colts LB Zaire Franklin compiled 13 tackles last week vs. the Lions. Since 2023, the Colts have scored at least 20 points in 21 games, which ranks tied for fifth in the NFL. Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez scored his first touchdown when he returned a fumble 63 yards for a touchdown last week vs. the Dolphins. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson 55 yards this week against the Colts to move past former Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount into 10th place on New England's all-time list. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Colts-Patriots game will be nationally televised on CBS, as play-by-play announcer Spero Dedes joins analyst and former NFL safety Adam Archuleta and reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala for the game broadcast.

At 4:25 PM ET, the entire country (100% of the Markets) will see an exciting national doubleheader game on CBS featuring two Super Bowl contenders as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) collide with Kyle Hamilton and the Baltimore Ravens (8-4). The Eagles are red-hot, winners of seven straight contests entering Week 13. Eagles RB Saquon Barkley put on a dazzling display last week vs. the Rams in Inglewood, as the Eagles running back scored TWO 70-yard tuddies and put up 302 scrimmage yards (including 255 rushing yards) in a 37-20 win. The Eagles have the #2 seed in the NFC & first place in the NFC East (a comfortable lead over the second place Commanders). The Ravens rebounded from a tough division loss to the Steelers in Week 11, by vanquishing the Chargers 30-23 last week on "Monday Night Football". Ravens QB and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson accounted for three touchdowns in Week 12 vs. the Chargers. The Ravens are currently the #5 seed in the AFC, just a half-game behind the Steelers for the AFC North division lead. The Eagles rank second in the NFL with 2,127 rushing yards (in 11 games, 193.4 per game) while the Ravens rank first in the NFL with 2,162 rushing yards (in 12 games, 180.2 per game). With Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (1,649 scrimmage yards, leads the league) and Ravens RB Derrick Henry (1,421 scrimmage yards, second-most in the NFL) set to meet in Week 13, the MVP conservation will certainly be shaped by what happens in this matchup between two of the top runners in football. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Eagles vs. Ravens high-stakes matchup will be seen on CBS, with play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz, analyst and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo and reporter Tracy Wolfson following the action on the field.
