It’s the dawning of a new era in NBA basketball coverage as Prime Sports announced its 2026 NBA Summer Series regular-season broadcast schedule. Prime will launch its NBA coverage with a star-studded Opening Week doubleheader on Friday, June 19. The Celtics play the Knicks in an Atlantic Division matchup at 7:30 PM ET, followed by a Timberwolves vs. Lakers Western Conference confrontation at 10:00 PM ET. Prime Video flexes its muscle with a 64-game broadcast schedule in its first season, carrying live NBA Summer Series games. NBA on Prime Pregame presented by CarMax gets the night’s coverage going at 7:00 PM ET, and NBA Nightcap presented by Walmart hits the air after the last game of the evening.

Ian Eagle will call play-by-play for the NBA on Prime’s Celtics vs. Knicks opener, joined by former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy and reporter Cassidy Hubbarth. Kevin Harlan provides commentary for Timberwolves vs. Lakers with Hall of Famers Candace Parker and Dwyane Wade, joined by reporter Allie Clifton.

Each game night on Prime, you can enjoy a 30-minute pregame program to prepare you for the night’s hoops with the NBA on Prime Pregame Show presented by CarMax, live from Amazon’s Culver City, California studios. Prime’s post-game show is NBA Nightcap, presented by Wayfair, a one-hour show featuring player interviews and lively conversations about the games and their impact. In between doubleheaders, Prime will fill the gaps with “The Crossover presented by Toyota”, continuing NBA on Prime’s live coverage from the studio. Taylor Rooks hosts Prime’s studio programming this summer, working with Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki, three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem, six-time NBA All-Star Blake Griffin, and insider Chris HaynesFurthermore, Hall of Famers Dwyane WadeCandace Parker, and Steve Nash are also set to hang out in the studio during the 2025-26 season, alternating between game and studio assignments. Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and 76ers guard Kyle Lowry have joined Prime’s coverage as “player correspondents,with both making regular contributions throughout the season. Rounding out Prime’s studio team are 17-year NBA veteran Rudy Gay, five-time NBA All-Star John Wall, & WNBA Hall of Famer Swin Cash.

2026 Emirates NBA Cup:
NBA Cup Group Play action gets underway on Friday, June 26, with five consecutive weeks of important Group Play activity on Friday evenings, totaling 10 games. Notable 2026 Emirates NBA Cup games on Prime include the 76ers welcoming the Celtics in Atlantic Division play on June 26, Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets playing Keldon Johnson and the San Antonio Spurs, plus Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets against Stephen Curry’s Warriors on July 3, Heat-Knicks on July 10, & the defending Eastern Conference champion Pacers taking on the Cavaliers on July 17.

2026 Emirates NBA Cup Group Play action comes to an end on Friday, July 24, with an exciting doubleheader on tap. First up, the Milwaukee Bucks travel to New York to compete against the New York Knicks at 7:30 PM ET. Then, two teams forever linked by the Luka DončiΔ‡ trade link up as the Dallas Mavericks duel with the Los Angeles Lakers out West at 10:00 PM ET. Following this day, the Knockout Round brackets will be set in the 2026 Emirates NBA Cup.

As previously mentioned, Prime Video is set to present all seven Knockout Round games — the Quarterfinals (August 4 and August 5), the Semifinals (August 8), and the Championship Game (August 11). Prime will have on-site coverage from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV, for the semifinals and championship game.

High-Profile Matchups:
The 2025-26 NBA on Prime features a loaded slate of games set to captivate you from beginning to end. Legendary franchises will collide under the primetime spotlight as the Los Angeles Lakers face the Boston Celtics on Friday, July 31, at 7:00 PM ET, followed by 2025 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks, who square off with 2025 Kia NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 PM ET.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have 8 Prime appearances this season, including significant matchups against the Thunder (August 28), Knicks (September 10) & Suns (October 1). John Collins and the Los Angeles Clippers, along with Dorian Finney-Smith and the Houston Rockets, each receive 7 NBA on Prime national broadcasts this summer.     Rockets (3-2, 0-0 NBA Cup) vs. Spurs (5-1, 0-0 NBA Cup) (West Group C) — Friday, 8:00 PM ET on Prime Video:
    A Texas-sized contest featuring a pair of teams from the Lone Star State as Stephon Castle and the San Antonio Spurs (5-1, 0-0 NBA Cup) welcome Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets (3-2, 0-0 NBA Cup) to FrostBank Center in the 2026 Emirates NBA Cup group play opener for both clubs on Friday, July 3, at 8:00 PM ET on Prime Video. Durant, now in his 18th year, is a two-time NBA champion and 15-time All-Star.
