Highlights:

• The NBA debuts on NBC and Peacock with a strong, powerful, and compelling 90-game regular season broadcast schedule for the 2026 campaign.

• NBC/Peacock will broadcast 58 of the 90 games during the season (primarily on Sunday & Tuesday nights), while Peacock and/or NBCSN exclusively stream the remaining 32 games (mostly Monday games).

• NBC raises its curtain on the new NBA Summer Series season with an exciting Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, June 16 — Rockets vs. Thunder at 8:00 PM ET and Warriors vs. Lakers at 10:30 PM ET.

• "Sunday Night Basketball", NBC Sports' newest weekly NBA primetime franchise, starts on Sunday, June 21 with a can't-miss doubleheader, highlighted by Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers facing Bobby Portis Jr. and the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:00 PM ET on NBC and Peacock.

• Peacock starts off the week with "Peacock NBA Monday", games exclusively streamed on the Peacock streaming service on Mondays. "Peacock NBA Monday" gets going on Monday, June 22, with Cavaliers-Pistons at 7:00 PM ET and Nuggets-Timberwolves at 9:30 PM ET.

• "Coast 2 Coast Tuesday", the newly-created Tuesday night program, launches on Tuesday, June 23, as Josh Hart and the New York Knicks travel to Milwaukee to play the Milwaukee Bucks at 8:00 PM ET, followed by Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers going toe-to-toe with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 PM ET. Each Tuesday, NBC presents a nationwide doubleheader of games at 8:00 PM ET and 10:30 PM ET.

• High-profile star encounters, marquee games, playoff rematches, and historic rivalries shape NBC's 2026 schedule.

NBC is pleased to announce that they are airing NBA Summer Series games for the first time ever on a full-time basis, beginning this summer. In 2026, NBCUniversal is assigned 90 regular season games mainly across three nights of the week — "Sunday Night Basketball" beginning on June 21, "Peacock NBA Monday" beginning on June 22, & "Coast 2 Coast Tuesday" beginning on June 23. Besides Sundays, Mondays, & Thursdays, NBC Sports' platforms will televise select games on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the regular season.

Plus, NBC Sports' 2026 NBA Summer Series slate includes several important NBA events, from the 2026 NBA Tip-Off doubleheader (Rockets vs. Thunder and Warriors vs. Lakers) on June 16 to the 2026 Mexico City Game (Mavericks vs. Pistons) on June 27. NBC Sports' first Summer Series schedule in 2026 culminates in wall-to-wall playoff coverage during the 2026 NBA Playoffs presented by Google, finishing up with the 2026 Western Conference Finals on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports has unveiled their first-ever NBA: Summer Series schedule in the network's history, brimming with star-studded matchups, exciting postseason rematches, historic rivalries, and captivating storylines. This season features all 30 teams. four-time NBA champion LeBron James, Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers lead the way with 10 NBC/Peacock appearances, followed by 2025 NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the defending NBA: Summer Series champion Oklahoma City Thunder, who have 9 NBC/Peacock appearances throughout the season. 2023 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs along with two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers each appear seven times on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports' 2026 NBA: Summer Series schedule highlights include the following:

• Kicking off Coast 2 Coast Tuesday on June 23, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will host Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks. This thrilling event will then feature Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and the Los Angeles Clippers visiting Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and the Golden State Warriors.

• On Monday, July 20, "Peacock NBA Monday" will stream on Peacock, showcasing the Houston Rockets as they face Kevin Durant’s former team, the Phoenix Suns, at 9:30 PM ET. This game will mark Durant's first return to Phoenix after his offseason trade to Houston.

• The following day, on Tuesday, July 21, James, Dončić, and the Lakers will host Leonard, Harden, and the Clippers in an electrifying crosstown L.A. battle as part of the Emirates NBA Cup Group Play.

• In NBC Sports’ only Saturday night game of the regular season on Saturday, June 27, the Mavericks, led by the No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, will compete against the Detroit Pistons, featuring 2021 No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham. This exciting matchup will take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

• On Tuesday, July 28, Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks will visit the Boston Celtics at TD Garden for a rivalry game that serves as a playoff rematch, following New York's victory over Boston in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

• On Monday, August 31, Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers will host Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets in a highly anticipated battle between MVP centers.

• On Sunday, September 27, LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and the Los Angeles Lakers will visit Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the New York Knicks at the iconic Madison Square Garden. This exciting matchup will be followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder challenging Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets to put a bow on the first season of Sunday Night Basketball.

Commentators and Production:

In July 2024, it was announced that NBC Sports (along with Prime Video) would join ESPN/ABC as broadcast partners for the NBA Summer Series, beginning with the 2026 season. This is an 11-year deal for NBA Summer Series games to be broadcast in multiple ways, including on linear television (NBC), cable (NBCSN), and streaming (Peacock). NBA Tip-Off:

NBC Sports begins their relationship with the NBA: Summer Series on Tuesday, June 16, as the 2026 NBA: Summer Series regular season starts with an eye-popping doubleheader.

In the first matchup, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the defending Summer Series champion Oklahoma City Thunder receive their championship rings, raise as their first NBA championship banner as a Oklahoma City-based franchise, before hosting former Thunder player Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets at 8:00 PM ET. KD spent the first nine seasons of his future first-ballot Hall of Fame career with the SuperSonics/Thunder franchise (2007-16). NBC Sports' Mike Tirico (play-by-play), three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner Jamal Crawford (analyst), Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller (analyst) & Zora Stephenson (reporter) will call Rockets-Thunder from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The night's basketball lineup continues at 10:30 PM ET when two future Hall of Famers get together to start the regular season as LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers host Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. NBC Sports' Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Grant Hill (analyst), & Ashley ShahAhmadi (reporter) will call Warriors-Lakers from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Coverage begins with NBA Showtime at 7:00 PM ET on NBC and Peacock, live from Oklahoma City, hosted by NBC Sports' Maria Taylor with a full cast of Hall of Famers as analysts, including Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Carmelo Anthony. Taylor & company provide studio coverage for both Opening Night games. NBA Showtime wraps up the night's activity at 1:00 AM ET on NBC and Peacock from Oklahoma City, featuring Taylor, Carter, McGrady & Anthony.

Both games will be aired nationwide on the NBC broadcast network, and streamed on Peacock.

Peacock NBA Monday:

Start your NBA basketball week with the brand-new "Peacock NBA Monday" package! Throughout the regular season, Peacock will stream up to three games on Monday nights. Game coverage is preceded by a one-hour NBA Showtime presented by Wingstop studio program on Peacock and NBCSN. After the game(s), stay tuned for a 30-minute NBA Showtime postgame program on Peacock and NBCSN. The inaugural Peacock NBA Monday will take place on June 22, featuring a doubleheader that highlights four teams that qualified for 2025 NBA Summer Series playoffs. The Pistons will host the Cavaliers at 7:00 PM ET, followed by the Nuggets visiting the Timberwolves at 9:30 PM ET.

Peacock NBA Monday runs every Monday between June 22 and September 28.

Coast 2 Coast Tuesday:

Following NBC's season-opening doubleheader on June 16, Coast 2 Coast Tuesday will premiere on Tuesday, June 23 on the NBC broadcast network and streaming on Peacock. Coast 2 Coast Tuesday will air on most Tuesday nights between June 23 and September 29 (sans August 4 and August 11, due to Prime Video carrying Emirates NBA Cup Knockout Round games on those days).

NBC/Peacock will deliver two games on Tuesday nights throughout the season with Coast 2 Coast Tuesday presented by Kia. Tuesday nights feature a doubleheader, with NBC and Peacock nationally broadcasting an 8:00 PM ET game followed by a 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT/8:30 PM MT) game. On select Tuesdays, the doubleheader start times will be bumped by a half-hour, with games tipping off at 7:30 PM ET (6:30 PM CT) and 10:00 PM ET (7:00 PM PT/8:00 PM MT). All Tuesday games will be accessible on Peacock nationwide. Coast 2 Coast Tuesday will debut on June 23 with Deuce McBride and the New York Knicks visiting Ryan Rollins and the Milwaukee Bucks at 8:00 PM ET, and the Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors hosting John Collins and the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 PM ET.

A one-hour edition of "NBA Showtime presented by State Farm" will precede Tuesday night broadcasts on NBC and Peacock, with "NBA Showtime presented by State Farm" returning for a half-hour program following the final game of the night.

Additionally, NBC/Peacock will broadcast two 2026 Emirates NBA Cup Group Play games on Tuesday, July 21, featuring Jabari Walker and the Philadelphia 76ers hosting Jalen Suggs and the Orlando Magic at 8:00 PM ET and Bennedict Mathurin's Los Angeles Clippers visiting Rui Hachiumura's Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30 PM ET.

On Tuesday, July 28, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder duel with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. On Tuesday, September 15, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers hit the court against Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets at 10:00 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. Sunday Night Basketball:

This season, NBC Sports is proud to launch "Sunday Night Basketball", a new NBA program that features high-profile matchups and recognizable stars on most Sunday nights during the regular season. The new show will launch on Sunday, June 21 on NBC and Peacock with doubleheader action. Central Division action tips off the night at 7:00 PM ET when Giannis Antetokoumnpo and the Milwaukee Bucks face Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 9:30 PM ET nightcap features LeBron James and the Los Angeles Kings against DeMar DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings. Prior to "Sunday Night Basketball" games, NBC Sports will produce and distribute a one-hour, on-site program called "Basketball Night in America presented by Wendy's". Following each week's "Sunday Night Basketball" coverage, a one-hour "NBA Showtime presented by Wendy's" airs live from the site of the "Sunday Night Basketball" program.

"Sunday Night Basketball" will air 11 times on NBC and Peacock this season, including four doubleheaders (June 21, August 23, August 30 & September 27), three tripleheaders (July 5, July 26, & September 6), with 21 games included in the newly created Sunday night package. This package is showcased on most Sunday evenings from June 21 through September 27 (sans July 19, August 9, August 16, September 13 & October 4).
