🟆 Highlights:
  • Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller, who called NBA Summer Series games together from 2003-2005, reunite alongside fellow analyst Chris Webber for Pistons vs. Bucks on Wednesday, July 29, at 9:30 PM ET/8:30 PM CT on Prime Video.
  • Allie LaForce and David Aldridge to serve as co-sideline reporters for the telecast.

Today, Prime Video announced that the commentary team of Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, and Chris Webber will team up for a one-night-only broadcast of the Detroit Pistons vs. Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday, July 29, at 9:30 PM ET on Prime Video. This broadcast brings together three commentators with long connections to the NBA.

Joining Harlan, Miller, and Webber for the broadcast will be sideline reporters Allie LaForce and David Aldridge. This is the latest in the NBA Summer Series “Throwback” broadcast series, as the Summer Series celebrates its 50th anniversary season.

Earlier this year, three throwback broadcasts were held: Terry Gannon and Robin Roberts on July 4; Stacey Dandridge, Grant Hill, and Susan McDermott on July 9; and Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy, and Mark Jackson on July 26. Check out TamirMoore.com for additional information about the previous throwback broadcasts.

On August 18, 2005, Harlan and Miller called Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Seattle SuperSonics. That was the last time that Harlan and Miller were a Summer Series broadcast duo. Obviously, Miller and Harlan would go to work together many more times, as the two were paired on Turner Sports’ NBA broadcasts from 2010-2025 and called select NBA Summer Series games together during that time. And now, over two decades later, the two are reunited once again.

As for Webber, he enjoyed a 15-year NBA career from 1993 to 2008, spending a significant portion of that time with the Sacramento Kings. During Webber’s career, he was named to five NBA All-Star teams, named to All-NBA teams on five occasions, and named the 1993-1994 NBA Rookie of the Year. After his playing career ended, Webber went straight into broadcasting, joining Turner Sports’ coverage of the NBA. Webber served as a studio and/or game analyst for TNT between 2008 and 2021, before rejoining the station in 2025.

“For years, Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller were one of the best duos in broadcasting,” said Tamir Moore, longtime Summer Series play-by-play commentator and sideline reporter. “Some of the most memorable NBA moments over the last 15 years probably have Kevin and Reggie’s voices attached to them. So to see Kevin, Reggie, and [Chris] come back for one special night like this is extremely special.”

“I have called Summer Series for over three decades by this point,” said Kevin Harlan, who has called Summer Series for most of the past 35 years (1991-2018; 2024-present). “Some of my best memories in the booth were with Reggie. I am thankful to have an opportunity to call one more game with a good guy and even better human being.”

“Being part of a team has shaped basically my entire adult life”, said Reggie Miller, who has been part of the NBA family for nearly 40 years as a player and as a broadcaster. “Working with Kevin back in the early-to-mid 2000s while I was still an active player gave me the comfort that a broadcasting career would be possible for me. I am honored and blessed to call this game in Milwaukee alongside one of the best broadcasters in our industry.”

Harlan, who has called NBA games for 40 years, when you factor in his local gigs (Kings: 1982-1985 & Timberwolves: 1989-1998) and national gigs (Turner Sports: 1996-2025; Prime Video: 2025-present), is currently a play-by-play announcer for NBA coverage for the Summer Series and Amazon Prime Video and also serves a NFL play-by-play commentator for CBS and Westwood One.

Miller is currently a co-lead game analyst, alongside Jamal Crawford, for NBC Sports’ NBA coverage. Before his run at NBC, Miller spent 20 seasons at Turner Sports (2005-2025), calling games and working in the studio on select occasions.

The Pistons vs. Bucks broadcast immediately follows the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Atlanta Hawks game at 7:00 PM ET on Prime Video, featuring Beth Mowins, Jim Jackson, and Jacob Hardie.

Following the game, stay tuned for a special edition of NBA Nightcap (approximately 12:00 AM ET), where Harlan, Miller, and Webber will appear to talk about their special broadcast with the studio team of Taylor Rooks, Blake Griffin, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Udonis Haslem, and Chris Haynes.
