Sunday, May 11, 2025 (Happy Mother's Day !!)
- Two Games during Opening Week: Cowboys at Eagles in the annual NFL Kickoff Game on Thursday, September 4, followed by a matchup of the last two MVP winners - Lamar Jackson (2023 NFL MVP) and the Baltimore Ravens vs. Josh Allen (2024 NFL MVP) and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, September 7.
- Primetime TV's #1 Show for 14 straight seasons.
- Vigorous Amount of Quarterback Duels on SNF in 2025: Dak Prescott vs. Jalen Hurts (Week 1, Sept. 4), Jackson vs. Allen (Week 1, Sept. 7), Jordan Love vs. Prescott (Week 4, Sept. 28), Jared Goff vs. Patrick Mahomes (Week 6, Oct. 12), Goff vs. Hurts (Week 11, Nov. 16), Baker Mayfield vs. Matthew Stafford (Week 12, Nov. 23), Joe Burrow vs. Jackson (Week 13, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving), C.J. Stroud vs. Mahomes (Week 14, Dec. 7), Burrow vs. Tagovailoa (Week 16, Dec. 21). SNF has it covered in terms of the must-see quarterback matchups.
- Peacock to once again supplement NBC's SNF coverage in 2025: Peacock will stream every Sunday Night Football on NBC broadcast during the 2025 season, the Football Night in America pregame studio show, Sunday Night Football Final (postgame show), and, of course, Super Bowl LX in February.
Sunday Night Football (SNF) on NBC, America's No. 1 primetime television show for an unprecedented 14 consecutive years, is excited to mark the 20th season of the program. This year's slate has an emphasis on showcasing the best players & teams in football from September (NFL Kickoff Game) through Super Bowl LX from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8, 2026, live on NBC & Peacock.
The 20th anniversary season of SNF on NBC begins with two must-see games during the first weekend of the NFL's regular season. Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys continue their traditional NFC East rivalry with 2024 AP Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley and the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles during NFL Kickoff '25 on Thursday, September 4, on NBC and Peacock. This game will be the 17th time that Dallas & Philadelphia will be matching up on NBC's Sunday Night Football package and the first time that the Cowboys & Eagles clash on the first NFL regular season weekend since 2000.
Later that weekend, on Sunday, September 7, NBC Sports will air its first traditional Sunday night game of the new campaign. And boy, do they have a fantastic game in which to show. Lamar Jackson (2023 NFL MVP) and the reigning AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens travel to Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, to face off against Josh Allen (2024 NFL MVP) and the defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills. This game is a rematch of last season's AFC Divisional Playoff Game, which was a Bills win over the Ravens at Highmark Stadium. This is the first game of the Bills' final season at the current Highmark Stadium, as the new Highmark Stadium is slated to open for the 2026 season.
The 2025 Sunday Night Football on NBC schedule has eight games featuring clubs that qualified for the 2024 postseason - spearheaded by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, who have participated in all but one Super Bowl since the 2019 season. They will host Amon-Ra St. Brown and the reigning NFC North champion Detroit Lions on Sunday, October 12. With Kansas City & Detroit holding the best records in the AFC & NFC, respectively, a season ago, this matchup is just the second time in NBC's Sunday Night Football package history that NBC will have a game featuring the teams that finished FIRST in their respective conferences the previous season (with the Opening Night Panthers-Broncos game in 2016 being the only other time). Two years later, during NFL Kickoff "23, the Lions squeezed out a spellbinding 21-20 win over the Chiefs on NBC and Peacock.
Peacock will have a stream available for every single Sunday Night Football on NBC broadcast, including postseason games, in addition to the "Football Night in America" studio show that precedes live game coverage on Sunday nights. The exclusive "Sunday Night Football Final" show returns to Peacock in 2025 to give additional coverage of that week's NBC SNF game. Furthermore, Peacock will get exclusive rights to show a Week 17 Saturday NFL game live in primetime on Saturday, December 27 at 8:00 PM (ET). That matchup will be determined later on in the season.
The "SNF" announce team of play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico, analyst Cris Collinsworth, reporter Melissa Stark, and rules analyst Terry McAulay return to provide commentary for the fourth consecutive year.
Highlights of the 2025 "Sunday Night Football" on NBC Schedule:
- NBC Sports' NFL schedule has the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys (including a game vs. their longtime rival Green Bay Packers) appearing three times each on the network, plus two games each for the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Commanders.
- Once the opening weekend is finished, the superb SNF lineup of highly anticipated quarterback battles continues with Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers facing off against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, September 28. This game has plenty of historic value, as these two clubs have played in postseason competition on nine different occasions over the years, the second-most in NFL history.
- On Sunday, November 16, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions hit the road to play Jalen Hurts and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in a game that has the top two seeds from the NFC last season. The next week, Sunday, November 23, Baker Mayfield and the defending NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers clash with Matthew Stafford and the defending NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams, bringing together two 2024 division-winning quarterbacks & former #1 overall picks.
- On Thanksgiving Night, Thursday, November 27, 2025, NFL passing leader Joe Burrow, alongside 2024 receiving "Triple Crown" winner Ja'Marr Chase, leads the Cincinnati Bengals into an AFC North division showdown against Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the Baltimore Ravens. An AFC Divisional Playoff Game rematch is coming your way on December 7, when C.J. Stroud leads the Houston Texans against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday, December 21, Joe Burrow and the Bengals head to South Florida for a late-season game vs. Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins (Tua led the league in completion percentage last season & and in passing yardage in 2023).
- Double Feature of Class of 2024 Quarterback Confrontations: In Week 2 (Sunday, September 14), Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy - who had to miss the 2024 season due to injury - is expected to make his Minnesota Vikings home debut against fellow 2024 first-round pick Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons. 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders, who made a Cinderella run to the NFC Championship Game last year, welcome fellow 2024 first-round pick Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos to Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, on Sunday, November 30. In 2024, Nix helped the Broncos to a 10-7 record and a postseason appearance.
In total, NBC Sports will broadcast 25 NFL games during the forthcoming 2025 NFL season. 20 of these games will be regular season matchups, distributed by NBC (linear television) and Peacock (streaming), including 18 Sunday Night Football games, the annual NFL Kickoff Game, & the annual Thanksgiving Night Game. To add on, Peacock gets a Saturday night exclusive game broadcast in Week 17 on Saturday, December 27. NBC Sports owns the broadcasting rights to three playoff games on NBC & Peacock - one Wild Card game, one Divisional Playoff game, & Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
To launch the preseason later this year, NBC & Peacock will televise the Hall of Fame Game between the Chargers and the Lions on Thursday, July 31.

Cowboys-Eagles Will open up the 2025 season
ReplyDeleteWEEK 17 SATURDAY NIGHT PEACOCK PREDICTION:
ReplyDeleteBAL GB- NOAH EAGLE
SNF Flex Prediction:
ReplyDeleteWeek 17: BAL - GB (unscheduled) replaces CHI - SF (moved to 4:05 on CBS)
I feel like Falcons-49ers is only there for Tirico and Collinsworth to get a dry run in for the SB.
ReplyDeleteWith Noah Eagle calling NFL on Netflix Lions Vikings on Christmas, it's even more likely that Ravens Packers will be the Saturday Peacock game (unless flexed to SNF the next night)
ReplyDeleteTamirMoore who's Sunday, October 5th Patriots at Bills?
ReplyDelete@jtcramerdog@gmail.com (Mike) Tirico, (Cris) Collinsworth, & (Melissa) Stark
DeleteThanks
DeleteBTW TamirMoore Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark will do Falcons at 49ers October 19th I heard that last night on Lions at Chiefs
ReplyDeleteFlex predictions:
ReplyDeleteWeek 15: Vikings at Cowboys flexed out for Colts at Seahawks. CBS is loaded that week and Colts don't have a SNF game scheduled all season.
Week 16: Bengals at Dolphins flexed out for either Jags at Broncos, Bucs at Panthers, or Chargers at Cowboys. FOX is loaded this week because of Saturday doubleheader and Chargers at Cowboys on Sunday.
For Week 15: If MIN DAL is flexed out, FOX may want to take that game and trade LV PHI to CBS, who would probably flex LAC KC or BUF NE to 4:25.
DeleteWhat would that mean for Packers Broncos though since both those teams are contenders too? I think GB DEN, BUF NE, and LAC KC all get Nantz/Eagle/Harlan crews meaning CBS virtually has to give up Colts Seahawks to NBC. I also have Titans Niners moving to CBS but I could see Raiders at Eagles too because of Cowboys potentially on FOX. Another solution to not conflict with Cowboys ratings would be to keep Raiders Eagles on FOX but move to late window behind Lions at Rams.
DeleteWeek 16 is a more complicated situation than Week 15. CIN MIA is almost certainly getting replaced, and there aren’t a lot of competitive games, despite it being 8 weeks away and things can change. The best options are probably NE BAL (If Jackson returns and dominates), TB CAR (first SNF game for the Panthers in 9 years), and JAX DEN.
DeleteNE BAL likely won't get flexed because that will likely be Eagle/Watt early game on CBS and like you said Baltimore has to get hot. My bet is TB CAR or JAX DEN
DeleteBTW TamirMoore I decided I'd help you out like last week Packers at Steelers on October 26th will be Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark because Mike Tirico called Pittsburgh the Confluence Of The Three Rivers last night and said we'll be here in the 4th quarter of Falcons at 49ers
ReplyDeleteTamirMoore by the way Mike Tirico mentioned on tonight’s Steelers vs Packers game that they’ll be be in Inglewood for week 10 Steelers at Chargers he said we’ll be there when they went over the Steelers upcoming schedule during the 4th quarter of that game so you can put them in there for that game as well I know you already put them in for Seahawks at Commanders this upcoming Sunday night
ReplyDeleteI noticed you appreciated my assistance again TamirMoore because you already put in there what heard from Mike Tirico last night
ReplyDelete@jtcramerdog@gmail.com Yes, I do, bro! Thanks so much!
DeleteYou’re welcome I’m glad
DeleteBroncos Commanders now in play to be flexed out. Just for fun I have these games getting flexed out:
ReplyDeleteWeek 13: DEN WSH out for MIN SEA if not protected
Week 15: MIN DAL out for GB DEN and BUF NE moved to 4:25 on CBS
Week 16: CIN MIA out for TB CAR
Lions at Eagles will be Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark as well Buccaneers at Rams because Mike mentioned last night on Steelers at Chargers they'll be back at SOFI Stadium in Inglewood for that one
ReplyDeleteUpdated flex predictions
ReplyDeleteWeek 13: DEN WSH stays because FOX protects MIN SEA and HOU IND won't work because Texans are on SNF the next week
Week 15: MIN DAL out, IND SEA flexed in
Week 16: CIN MIA out, NE BAL flexed in
I think they should flex out Broncos-Commanders.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Broncos wire Broncos vs Commanders is staying on SNF
ReplyDeleteLooking at Jacksonville's schedule, they could easily be 10-4 going into Denver in Week 16. If that's the case I think Jaguars Broncos gets put into SNF instead of Pats Ravens because FOX has a loaded Week 16 slate (Saturday doubleheader) and Patriots Ravens headlines the 1 ET or even 4:25 ET (if Steelers Lions to 1 ET) CBS slate. Ravens are also likely to get Saturday Peacock game vs Packers so NBC may not want them two straight weeks (or potentially 3 if Ravens at Steelers Week 18 is for the AFC North/playoffs). FOX should also protect Chargers at Cowboys on that Sunday because of the Cowboys ratings draw at 1 ET and sacrifice Jags at Broncos.
ReplyDeleteTherefore I have:
Week 15: IND at SEA SNF
Week 16: JAX at DEN SNF
Now the window for flexing is 6 days
ReplyDeleteWill they flex out Vikings-Cowboys?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. THEY BETTER, brother! You literally have IND/SEA just sitting there being the undercard for GB/DEN on CBS during a doubleheader week. Maybe the Colts-Seahawks game gets 25%-30% of the country (with GB/DEN getting the rest). If you put that game on SNF, not only is it in a better timeslot, but you will have ZERO competition during that game. Yeah, I know, Seattle has a quick turnaround to TNF against the Rams the following week, but they will be at home. This might be a case of the NFL relaxing their rules to appease the fans.
DeleteHere's my suggestion: Put IND/SEA for SNF Week #15 (flexing it from 4:25 PM ET on CBS to 8:20 PM ET on NBC). As a result, Fox can cross-flex either TEN/SF or CAR/NO (two less appealing games) from their loaded 4:25 PM ET slot (which currently features Lions/Rams as the centerpiece, with Titans/49ers and Panthers/Saints as undercards) over to CBS to serve as the Packers-Broncos undercard (CBS can actually send more viewers to GB/DEN if they have just GB/DEN and either TEN/SF or CAR/NO).
Thats a great idea. I hope they do it.
DeleteI bet we get a decision Friday depending on what Dallas does on TNF and if they're really in contention or not. Minnesota is irrelevant to this discussion at this point because win or losing vs Commanders doesn't change their season outlook.
DeleteUpdate: Two Bills Drive posted Week 15 CBS announcer pairings and nothing was flexed meaning it looks highly unlikely we get a SNF other than Vikings at Cowboys.
DeleteAnother update: NBC dodged a huge bullet by not flexing Colts Seahawks as Daniel Jones season is over and Colts down to a 3rd string QB on the road against a top 5 defense
DeleteFinal Week 17 Peacock Prediction:
ReplyDeleteHOU at LAC: Mike Tirico, Jason Garrett
(Tirico stays in California for Bears Niners night after)
Peacock Prediction:
ReplyDeleteBAL-GB: Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, Kathryn Tappen
As of right now, keep the following games in mind for NBC's SNF Week 18 regular season finale:
ReplyDelete. Dolphins at Patriots (seeding for Miami; New England may have clinched the #1 seed by ten)
. Ravens at Steelers (potential AFC North title game)
. Panthers at Buccaneers (potential NFC South title game)
. Lions at Bears (seeding for both teams; potentially div. as well)
. Seahawks at 49ers (seeding for both teams; potentially div. as well)
. Colts at Texans (potential AFC South title game)
. Chargers at Broncos (seeding for LA Chargers; Denver may have clinched the #1 seed by then)
My prediction as of right now: CAR/TB
What about you guys?
I think Lions at Bears will be for 7 seed with Lions 10-6 and Bears 11-5 and Seattle/San Fran locking up other 2 WCs and Packers locking up NFC North at 12-4-1.
DeleteI think Baltimore Pittsburgh will be for division but CBS will air it at 4:25 ET because NBC won't do 3 Ravens games in a row unless it's only option. Panthers at Bucs I also think gets Saturday night on ESPN just like how Titans at Jags got that 3 years ago.
I actually think that ESPN will take Ravens at Steelers for its Saturday Night game and CBS will get Panthers at Bucs in late window for that division title/playoff spot. However, I still think Lions at Bears will get SNF and this game will either be for the last playoff spot, the division (depending on GB MIN game) or potentially both. I also don't think Lions Bears can be on Saturday because the Bears coming back from the West coast the week before and NFL not wanting to give them a disadvantage in such a pivotal game compared to Detroit.
DeleteI would have to go with either Car/Tb or Det/Chi for Sunday night.
DeleteRavens Steelers SNF Week 18
