- The most watched window in college football, BIG NOON SATURDAY, begins with three exciting matchups on FOX.
- "FOX College Football Friday" begins on Friday, September 13.
FOX Sports announced select games from their 2024 college football schedule, featuring marquee games from the top conferences throughout the course of the season.
For the third straight year, BIG NOON KICKOFF, travels to each week to college football's cream of the crop games, previewing the day's best matchups from campuses across America at 10:00 AM ET on FOX. BIG NOON KICKOFF is immediately followed by BIG NOON SATURDAY, the network's premier matchup each week and the most-watched regular season college football window across any network for three straight seasons.
BIG NOON KICKOFF and BIG NOON SATURDAY:
In Week 1, Penn State will take on West Virginia on Saturday, August 31 at 12:00 PM ET on FOX. For the first time ever, BIG NOON KICKOFF will head to Morgantown, West Virginia, providing on-site pregame coverage beginning at 10:00 AM ET.
In Week 2, the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines host the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, September 7 at 12:00 PM ET on FOX. BIG NOON KICKOFF is set to return to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for a special three-hour edition of the program starting at 9:00 AM ET.
In Week 3's BIG NOON SATURDAY game, Alabama takes on Wisconsin on Saturday, September 14 at 12:00 PM ET on FOX. BIG NOON KICKOFF will also originate from Madison, Wisconsin, with pregame coverage starting at 10:00 AM ET.
In the final week of the regular season (Week 14), FOX Sports once again features "The Game" - with the Ohio State Buckeyes hosting the Michigan Wolverines in an annual renewal of their historic rivalry on Saturday, November 30 at 12:00 PM ET on FOX. The BIG NOON KICKOFF crew will give three hours of pregame coverage, with special guests, insight, and expert opinions included in that, beginning at 9:00 AM ET.
"FOX College Football Friday":
The newest addition to FOX's college football schedule for the 2024 season is the debut of FOX College Football Friday. FOX College Football Friday is a weekly primetime window dedicated to college football action on Friday evenings during the fall.
The new package begins on Friday, September 13 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX with newly added Big 12 member Arizona taking on Kansas State from Manhattan, Kansas. The action will then continue in the month of October, with a Big Ten showdown between the Michigan State Spartans and the Oregon Ducks from Eugene, Oregon on Friday, October 4 at 9:00 PM ET on FOX.
Later in October, Rutgers will travel West to play USC at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, October 25, following the conclusion of Game 1 of the 2024 World Series. The first-ever Fox College Football Friday slate will wrap up on Friday, December 6 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX with the 2024 Mountain West Championship Game.
Key 2024 Season highlights:
- In Week 1, the action begins earlier in the weekend, with a special Thursday broadcast as North Carolina squares off against Minnesota in Minneapolis on Thursday, August 29 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX.
- In Week 3, FOX Sports will showcase a longstanding college football rivalry as Oregon faces off with Oregon State from Corvallis, Oregon, on Saturday, September 14 at 3:30 PM ET on FOX.
- In Weeks 1 and 2, FS1 features some riveting matchups on Friday nights, with Western Michigan at Wisconsin on Friday, August 30 at 9:00 PM ET & Duke at Northwestern on Friday, September 6 at 9:00 PM ET.
College football on FOX, FS1, FS2 is also simulcast on the FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com.

So who will call the Friday night games?
ReplyDeleteGus Johnson Joel Klatt On The Call Between Rutgers VS USC
DeleteReally?
DeleteSpencer Tillman announced that he will be working with Eric Collins on Fox this year.
ReplyDeleteRudy Martzke has announced that Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft will once again be the top CFB announcing team for Fox this season. Their first three games, all big noon saturday games are:
ReplyDelete- Penn State @ West Virginia (Week 1)
- Texas @ Michigan (Week 2)
- Alabama @ Wisconsin (Week 3)
Rudy Martzke also announced that Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams will be the #2 broadcasting team for CFB on Fox this season. They'll call the thurday night game in week 1 between North Carolina and Minnesota and the following 3:30 PM ET games on Saturday:
ReplyDelete- UTEP @ Nebraska (Week 1)
- Baylor @ Utah (Week 2)
- Oregon @ Oregon State (Week 3)
Tim Brando will be working with Devin Gardner and Josh Sims this season. They'll call the following games:
ReplyDelete- Montana State @ New Mexico (Week 0)
- Western Michigan @ Wisconsin (Week 1) (Friday night)
- Texas Tech @ Washington State (Week 2)
They'll also be the FNF announcers for CFB on Fox this season, beginning with Arizona State @ Kansas State (Week 3)
Eric Collins and Spencer Tillman will call the following games in the first three weeks:
ReplyDelete- North Dakota @ Iowa State (Week 1)
- South Dakota @ Wisconsin (Week 2)
- Troy @ Iowa (Week 3)
Connor Onion and Mark Helfrich will call the following games:
ReplyDelete- UConn @ Maryland (Week 1)
- Duke @ Northwestern (Week 2) (Friday night)
- UCF @ TCU (Week 3)
Robert Smith will return to call more CFB games this season. This year he pairs with Alex Faust and they will call the following games:
ReplyDelete- UNLV @ Houston (Week 1)
- Kansas @ Illinois (Week 2)
- Air Force @ Baylor (Week 3)
It's also safe to assume that Alex Faust and Robert Smith will be the 7th announcing team for NFL on Fox this season.
ReplyDelete@taitongus It seems like Faust and Smith will not be FOX's #7 NFL team this year. Jason Benetti & Matt Millen be FOX's #7 team this season, as they received the Denver-Tampa Bay game in Week 3.
DeletePetros Papadakis will be teamed up with different pxp announcers this season beginning with Wyoming @ Arizona State (Week 1) and North Texas @ Texas Tech (Week 3)
ReplyDeleteDan Hellie will call North Texas @ Texas Tech (Week 3)
ReplyDeleteSo what happens to Friday night Smackdown now that they're doing Friday night football?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Mark, Friday Night SmackDown is set to move to USA Network (NBC Universal) this fall, clearing the way for FOX's new Friday night college football package.
DeleteGood to know.
DeleteSo we can safely assume that Jason Benetti will not be working a game on 9/21, since he'll be in Tampa the next day.
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Yes, Mark, indeed that's probably the case. FOX will need a fill-in announcer for Benetti that day.
DeleteWho is calling Next Friday Night's Game between Illinois and Nebraska Cornhuskers on FOX and How Many Games will there be on Both FOX and FS1 Next Saturday? Hopefully they will announce it after This Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI know it's Ohio State and all, but it's really dumb that Marshall is getting Big Noon Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI agree with You on that one.
ReplyDeleteSo who will fill in for Jason Benetti next Saturday?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Man, I don't know. Maybe they might move up Connor Onion or Eric Collins or somebody like that. Heck, they might bring over Jeff Levering (previously called FOX CFB games before getting re-assigned to BTN football games) to fill-in.
DeleteLots of options for Fox. Curious to see what they do.
DeleteWe won't able to find out until after Today's College Football Games.
ReplyDeleteI guess they don't have to replace Jason Benetti after all.
ReplyDeleteRudy Martzke has announce the following announcer assignments for week 4 games on Fox:
ReplyDelete- Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft (Marshall @ Ohio State)
- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams (Utah @ Oklahoma State)
- Connor Onion, Mark Helfrich (Baylor @ Colorado)
https://stuffsomerssays.com/penn-state-football/big-ten-football-weekly-schedule/
ReplyDeleteThis website has announced the Big Ten Schedule for week 5. The schedule for Fox are as follows:
Friday, September 27:
- Washington @ Rutgers (8:00 PM ET) - Fox
Saturday, September 28:
- Minnesota @ Michigan (12:00 PM ET) - Fox
- Oregon @ UCLA (11:00 PM ET) - Fox
@taitongus Thanks man!
DeleteColorado @ UCF will be the 3:30 PM ET game for Fox next weekend
ReplyDeleteRudy Martzke has announced the following announcer assignments for Week 5 CFB on Fox:
ReplyDeleteFriday, September 27:
- Tim Brando, Devin Gardner & Josh Sims (Washington @ Rutgers)
Saturday, September 28:
- Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft (Minnesota @ Michigan)
- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams (Colorado @ UCF)
- Connor Onion, Mark Helfrich & Josh Sims (Oregon @ UCLA)
So Josh Sims on Friday night will be in New Jersey for Washington vs Rutgers. After the game, he'll immediately head on a plane to head to Los Angeles for Oregon vs UCLA on the next day.
The following games will be on Fox for Week 6:
ReplyDeleteFriday, October 4:
- Michigan State @ Oregon (9:00 PM ET)
Saturday, October 5:
- UCLA @ Penn State (12:00 PM ET)
- Baylor @ Iowa State (7:30 PM ET)
- Texas Tech @ Arizona (11:00 PM ET)
That 3:30 PM ET slot on October 5 will be used for one of the NLDS games in the MLB postseason.
Rudy Martzke has announced that Kevin Kugler will replace Jason Benetti to call the Colorado vs UCF game on Saturday. Jason Benetti is the PxP announcer for the Detroit Tigers on Bally Sports Detroit, and right now the Tigers are still in the hunt for an MLB playoff spot, which is why Benetti wanted to call the Tigers game, in the event that they can clinch a playoff spot in the MLB this season. So that means Kevin Kugler will be calling the Colorado UCF game saturday and then proceed to call the Bengals Panthers game on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTim Brando just announced on Twitter that he and Devin Gardner will call the game between Baylor and Iowa State next weekend. He also said that Jason Benetti, Brock Huard and Allison Williams will call the Michigan State @ Oregon game on Friday October 4 as well. So that would mean Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft will call the UCLA @ Penn State game, while Connor Onion and Mark Helfrich will call the Texas Tech @ Arizona game next week. It is unclear what game Josh Sims will do though. However, since Josh Sims normally work with Tim and Devin, I would guess he'll be doing the Baylor @ Iowa State game as well.
ReplyDeleteColorado vs UCF is in a delay
ReplyDeleteRudy Martzke has confirmed that Josh Sims will be with Tim Brando and Devin Gardner for the game between Baylor and Iowa State. However, for the second straight week, there will be a reporter working with Connor Onion and Mark Helfrich. That happens to be Allison Williams, who will work the Michigan State @ Oregon game on Friday, then she will travel to Arizona to work the Texas Tech @ Arizona game with Connor and Mark.
ReplyDeleteHere are the Fox schedule for week 7:
ReplyDelete- Washington @ Iowa or Wisconsin @ Rutgers (12:00 PM ET)
- Arizona @ BYU (4:00 PM ET)
- Iowa State @ West Virginia (8:00 PM ET)
The Big Noon Saturday game for week 7 will be decided after week 6. Whichever game that will air on Fox, will mean that the other game will be on Big Ten Network. Both games will kickoff at 12:00 PM ET though
I would definitely like to see Big Noon Kickoff To Host BYU Cougars Home Game against Arizona Wildcats.
ReplyDeleteFox has announced that they will air the MLB NLDS game 5 (If necessary) on Friday, October 11. Pregame at 7 PM ET, first pitch at 8 PM ET. If that is the case, the Northwestern @ Maryland game will likely air on FS1 instead of Fox for that day. However, if that NLDS series ends before game 5, then the Northwestern @ Maryland game will still air on Fox as scheduled.
ReplyDeleteThat's Correct!
ReplyDeleteWashington-Iowa will be the Big Noon game next week.
ReplyDeleteNever mind. I made a mistake
DeleteI am really surprised by that choice.
DeleteThese are the Fox announcing teams for week 7:
ReplyDeleteOctober 11:
- Connor Onion, Mark Helfrich & Reporter TBD (Northwestern @ Maryland) - 8:00 PM ET
October 12:
- Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft (Washington @ Iowa) - 12:00 PM ET
- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams (Arizona @ BYU) - 4:00 PM ET
- Tim Brandon, Devin Gardner & Josh Sims (Iowa State @ West Virginia) - 8:00 PM ET
via: Rudy Martzke
DeleteThere is a change of announcing teams for week 7 on Fox, according to Rudy Martzke:
ReplyDelete- Jason Benetti's team will now do the Big Noon Saturday game between Washington and Iowa
- Gus Johnson's team will now do the game between Arizona and BYU.
Other teams remain unchanged for this week.
Big Noon Saturday on Fox for week 8 will be Nebraska @ Indiana at 12:00 PM ET
ReplyDeleteThe 4:00 PM ET game on Fox for week 8 will be Colorado @ Arizona.
ReplyDeleteThere will be two games at 7:30 PM ET for week 8 in the big 12. That is UCF @ Iowa State and Kansas State @ West Virginia. One of these two games will be on Fox and the other will be on FS1
Why are Johnson and Klatt calling a 4:00 game?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Mark, I have no idea. Originally, Johnson and Klatt were scheduled to work the Big Noon Saturday game of Washington-Iowa, as per usual. However, FOX changed the assignments of Johnston/Klatt (originally slated for Washington-Iowa; and now slated to Arizona-BYU) and Benetti/Huard (originally slated for Arizona-BYU; and now slated to call Washington-Iowa instead) for unknown reasons. Pretty strange.
DeleteIt's Very Strange and Odd But I'll guess They're trying to do Something Different and Hopefully It Works.
ReplyDeleteI'll think the Big Noon Kickoff should Either Hosting Nebraska Cornhuskers and Indiana Hoosiers or Colorado Buffaloes and Arizona Wildcats on FOX Next Saturday But It won't be Announced Until Either Sunday or Monday.
ReplyDeleteKansas State @ West Virginia will be at 7:30 PM ET on Fox for week 8
ReplyDeleteAccording to Rudy Martzke, these are the Fox announcing teams for Week 8:
ReplyDeleteFriday, October 18:
- Tim Brando, Devin Gardner & Josh Sims (Oregon @ Purdue)
Saturday, October 19:
- Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft (Nebraska @ Indiana) (12:00 PM ET)
- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams (Colorado @ Arizona) (4:00 PM ET)
- Connor Onion, Mark Helfrich & Josh Sims (Kansas State @ West Virginia) (7:30 PM ET)
So Josh Sims will be in West Lafayette, Indiana for Friday's game between Oregon and Purdue, then he heads to Morgantown, West Virginia next day for the game between Kansas State and West Virginia.
Big Noon Saturday on Fox for week 9 will be Nebraska @ Ohio State.
ReplyDeleteI really can't believe that the Big Noon Kickoff Crew is heading to Columbus, Ohio for Indiana Hoosiers and Ohio State Buckeyes and Indiana Hoosiers lost Big Time Today and I don't understand Why Nebraska Cornhuskers would be featured Again But they could have went to a Different Location and Already The Big Noon Kickoff already going to be in Columbus, Ohio Next Month for Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes so FOX didn't do Right by Going to Some of the Same Locations and Hopefully If We're all live to see Next Year on Next College Football Season,Make a Lot of Changes by Going to Different Locations and Not the Same Locations Because They didn't do Right at all.
ReplyDeleteThe 3:30 PM ET on Fox game for week 9 will be Texas Tech @ TCU. There are no primetime games on Fox for CFB week 9 due to the World Series.
ReplyDeleteTim Brandon has announced on twitter that he, Devin Gardner and Josh Sims will call the game between Texas Tech and TCU at 3:30 PM ET on Fox for week 9. This definitely means that Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft will be calling the Big Noon game between Nebraska and Ohio State. And this would also likely mean that Jason Benetti, Brock Huard and Allison Williams will call the Rutgers vs USC game on Friday at 11:00 PM ET
ReplyDeleteRudy Martzke has confirmed the following teams for each game on Fox:
ReplyDeleteFriday, October 25:
- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams (Rutgers @ USC) (11:00 PM ET)
Saturday, October 26:
- Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt & Jenny Taft (Nebraska @ Ohio State) (12:00 PM ET)
- Tim Brando, Devin Gardner & Josh Sims (Texas Tech @ TCU) (3:30 PM ET)
Kansas State @ Houston will air at 3:30 PM ET on Fox for November 2.
ReplyDeleteBig Noon Saturday on Fox for November 2 will be Ohio State @ Penn State.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised at all.
DeleteI really think Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions Should Have Been on NBC Next Saturday Night's Primetime Game Instead On FOX Big Noon Kickoff and The Big Noon Kickoff Shouldn't Host There So That was a Big Mistake on Their Part So Do Anyone Agree With Me on That One?
ReplyDeleteAccording to Rudy Martzke;
ReplyDelete- Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams will call Kansas State @ Houston at 3:30 PM ET on November 2
One of these two games will air on Fox for November 9. They are either Colorado @ Texas Tech or Iowa State @ Kansas. The other will be on FS1. The kickoff time for these games are still TBD.
ReplyDeleteWith the World Series being over now that the Dodgers have won it, the game between Arizona State and Oklahoma State has been moved to fox. Kickoff remains at 7:00 PM ET
ReplyDeleteWhy is there no game tonight?
ReplyDelete@Mark T. Mark, I don't know. When the schedule came out earlier this year, there was no "FOX College Football Friday" game scheduled for November 1. So, this was a intentional Friday that FOX left blank (they could have easily moved San Diego State-Boise State over from FS1 to FOX once the World Series ended in five), but chose not to do that.
DeleteVery strange choice by FOX.
DeleteAccording to Stewart Mandel, the game between Arizona State and Oklahoma State will now kickoff at 3:30 PM ET on Fox. So what will happen is the game between Kansas State and Houston will kickoff at 3:30 PM ET on Fox, and most of the country will be watching that game. Whereas the game between Arizona State and Oklahoma State will be on Fox at 3:30 PM ET but locally in those 2 markets. So in general, both games (Kansas State vs Houston and Arizona State vs Oklahoma State) will kickoff at the same time and both will be on Fox but the Kansas State vs Houston game will be seen by most people in the US, while the game between Arizona State and Oklahoma State will be shown locally in those 2 markets.
ReplyDeleteThe game between Arizona State and Oklahoma State will also air on FS2 for those not in the local market of either Arizona State or Oklahoma State.
ReplyDeleteHere is the Fox Schedule for November 9:
ReplyDelete- Purdue @ Ohio State (12:00 PM ET) (Big Noon Saturday)
- Either Colorado @ Texas Tech or Iowa State @ Kansas (4:00 PM ET) (the other game will be on FS1)
- Nevada @ Boise State (8:00 PM ET)
Colorado @ Texas Tech will air at 4:00 PM ET on Fox for November 9. That means the game between Iowa State and Kansas will be on FS1.
ReplyDeleteUtah @ Colorado will be Big Noon Saturday in Week 12, on November 16.
ReplyDeleteNebraska @ USC will air on November 16 at 4:00 PM ET.
ReplyDeleteTim Brando just posted on his twitter that his team (with Devin Gardner & Josh Sims) will be doing the game between Nevada and Boise State this Saturday at 8:00 PM ET.
ReplyDeletePurdue vs Ohio State should not be on Big Noon Saturday.
ReplyDeleteCincinnati @ Iowa State will air at 8:00 PM ET on Fox next weekend
ReplyDeleteTim Brando just announced on his twitter that his team (with Devin Gardner & Josh Sims) will be doing the game between Cincinnati and Iowa State on november 16 at 8:00 PM ET
ReplyDeleteConnor Onion also said on the broadcast of Iowa @ UCLA that he and Mark Helfrich will announce the game between UCLA and Washington for November 15. That means Jason Benetti, Brock Huard & Allison Williams will call the game between Nebraska and USC on November 16.
ReplyDeleteBig Noon Saturday for Week 13 (November 23) will be Indiana @ Ohio State.
ReplyDeleteColorado @ Kansas will air on Fox at 3:30 PM ET on November 23
ReplyDeleteI really don't like that Big Noon Kickoff Will Be in Columbus, Ohio for the Next Two Weeks and I am really not pleased How FOX handled it and So Do Anybody Else agreeing with Me on This?
ReplyDelete
