- An opening night tripleheader on Tuesday, October 8, to begin the 2024-25 NHL season in North America on ESPN and ESPN+: Blues at Kraken (4:30 PM ET), Bruins at Panthers (7:00 PM ET) & Blackhawks at Utah (Hockey Club) (10:00 PM ET).

NHL Opening Night on ESPN and ESPN+:
The 2024-25 NHL regular season starts in North America on Tuesday, October 8, with an opening night tripleheader on ESPN and ESPN+.
The puck 🏒 drops down at 4:30 PM ET when the St. Louis Blues face the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. 2024 Stanley Cup champion Brandon Montour is expected to make his Seattle debut in this contest.
The action continues at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+, as Matthew Tkachuk and the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers host David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins. The Bruins aim for redemption and revenge after they were eliminated by the Panthers during the last two Stanley Cup Playoffs (2023 and 2024). Prior to this game, the Panthers will raise their first-ever championship banner at Amerant Bank Arena in a pregame ceremony.
Following at 10:00 PM ET, the Utah Hockey Club (formerly the Arizona Coyotes) will make its franchise debut at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks in a Central Division matchup.
