* "Thursday Night Football" returns for second straight season on Prime Video

* Prime Video to exclusively televise 16 NFL games, including 15 of them on Thursday nights

* Football on Black Friday -- Prime Video to exclusively televise the NFL's first-ever Black Friday football game on Friday, November 24 (Week 12) - Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets in an AFC East rivalry game (3 p.m. ET)

The 2023 NFL schedule was released on Thursday night. That means we now know the schedule for the 2023 edition of "Thursday Night Football" on Prime Video.

For the second straight season, Prime Video will serve as the home of the NFL's first game of the weekend slate.

This season, Prime Video has 16 NFL games on their schedule. 15 of these games (except one) will be contested during Prime Video's regular Thursday night slot.

"Thursday Night Football" makes its 2023 debut in Philadelphia on Thursday, September 14 as Jalen Hurts and the defending NFC champions Philadelphia Eagles host explosive young superstar and last season's Offensive Player of the Year Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings-Eagles game will start Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season. Kickoff is set for 8:15 PM (ET).

The following week, Thursday, September 21, Prime Video heads to Santa Clara, California for the first game of Week 3 when newly acquired Giants tight end Darren Waller and the New York Giants travel west to match up with wide receiver Deebo Samuel and the San Francisco 49ers. Again, kickoff is set for 8:15 PM (ET).

Later on this season, the league is set to play on Black Friday for the very first time. Prime Video is set to air this game on Friday, November 24, when wideout Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins square off with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in an AFC East matchup. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM (ET).

Prime Video is scheduled to air one NFL game each week from Week 2 through Week 17. Kickoff will be scheduled for 8:15 PM (ET) for every game on Prime Video this season, except for the Dolphins-Jets Black Friday game, which will begin at 3:00 PM (ET) instead.

In addition to the regular season games, Prime Video will televise a preseason game on Thursday, August 24 at 8:00 PM (ET) as the Indianapolis Colts take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a exhibition matchup.

Furthermore, starting this season, games on "Thursday Night Football" are eligible for flex scheduling on a "trial basis". This will only apply to games scheduled from Week 13 through Week 17, and only up to two games can be fixed. Additionally, the league must provide at least 28 days notice for the flex.

Any game flexed out of Thursday Night Football would be then played on Sunday that week. No teams will be required to flex from Sunday to Thursday more than once or to play more than two games on Thursday night.

Barring any changes, Al Michaels (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst) & Kaylee Hartung (reporter) will return to call the action on "Thursday Night Football" this season. Michaels, Herbstreit & Hartung return for their second together as a broadcast team.

^ == "Thursday Night Football" schedule during Weeks 13-17 are "subject to change" due to flex scheduling.
