• The NBA: Summer Series Weekly Live Standings is BACK for the 2025 season!

• A simple reason as to why this page returned for another season: Keep track of each team's standing during the regular season (daily basis)!

For the second straight year, we will have an NBA: Summer Series home page dedicated to the daily standings of the NBA: Summer Series! I hope you guys enjoy this feature again! Let's take some time now to briefly recap what's to come in the the 2025 NBA: Summer Series season.

The 2025 preseason begins on Friday, May 16 when Jayson Tatum and the defending NBA: Summer Series champion Boston Celtics play three-time Kia NBA MVP Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets at Etihad Arena in the United Arab Emirates at 1:00 PM (ET) on ESPN. Later that day, Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves travel to Palm Springs, California to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in a preseason matchup at 3:30 PM (ET) on ESPN.

Following the opening day preseason doubleheader on ESPN, TWDC platforms will work together to broadcast over 40 preseason games until Friday, May 30, when the preseason concludes. In particular, the Lakers and the Warriors will each have five preseason appearances.

 

Then, in June, the most exciting time in the NBA arrives: the Summer Series calendar kicks off with the 49th Summer Series season beginning on Tuesday, June 3, with an Opening Night doubleheader, exclusively on ESPN. In the evening's first game, Jaylen Brown and the defending NBA: Summer Series champion Boston Celtics face off against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at 8:00 PM (ET). The nightcap takes us to Los Angeles, where the Timberwolves will compete against the Lakers at 10:30 PM (ET).

 

ESPN platforms (ESPN and ABC mainly, with select games being simulcasted on ESPN+ and/or Disney+) will broadcast over 200 regular season games nationally throughout the 16-week regular season schedule. TWDC platforms will air 230 regular season games from Tuesday, June 3, through Sunday, September 21.

 

Once the regular season concludes and the playoff picture is finalized, we will transition to postseason coverage on the Disney family of media platforms (ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+). To kick things off, we will provide live coverage of the 2025 SoFi Play-in Tournament on ABC and ESPN from Tuesday, September 23, through Friday, September 26. Later that week, the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel will begin, featuring the best 16 teams in the NBA competing in the 49th edition of the Summer Series playoffs. ABC and ESPN will join forces to broadcast the 2025 NBA Playoffs action beginning on Saturday, September 27.

 

The 2025 season will culminate with the 2025 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, which will be aired exclusively on ABC this November.
