🟅 Highlights:
  • A riveting 2026 schedule as the “NFL on CBS” begins its 67th season on the air, highlighted by a first-rate 4:25 PM ET doubleheader selection of games.
  • NFL’s most-watched package is the lead home for the American Football Conference (AFC), its star QB’s, and television’s top window (4:25 PM ET games).
  • 4:25 PM ET CBS doubleheader games are spearheaded by the Chiefs (4), Bills, Cowboys, Broncos, 49ers, and Bears.
  • Marquee Week 15 slate includes Bears vs. Bills on Saturday at 8:20 PM ET, Ravens vs. Steelers Sunday at 1:00 PM ET & Cowboys vs. Rams Sunday at 4:25 PM ET (1:25 PM PT local).
  • More than 100 regular-season games and a full lineup of postseason action, culminating with the network’s presentation of the 2026 AFC Championship on Sunday, January 31 at 6:30 PM ET.

CBS Sports, which has been the primary television home for the AFC since 1998, has disclosed its 2026 NFL on CBS schedule, its 67th covering NFL games every week. Building on last year’s historic ratings, CBS Sports continues its mission to deliver top-quality NFL content across multiple platforms, including linear television (CBS Television Network) and streaming (Paramount+). Over 100 regular-season games will air on CBS during the 2026 NFL season.

In 2025, the NFL on CBS achieved its highest regular-season performance to date, breaking viewership records with the NFL’s premier overall package, which drew 21.252 million viewers. The network also recorded a remarkable 25.827 million viewers for the national game at 4:25 PM ET, and the Chiefs-Cowboys matchup on Thanksgiving garnered an impressive 57.231 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings.

The NFL on CBS playoff lineup includes a Wild Card playoff game, the Divisional Playoff matchup, and finally, the AFC Championship Game. All games will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ in the team’s local markets.

TV’s Most-Watched Program includes Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs four times & Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys twice in the National Game Window at 4:25 PM ET:

The NFL’s national game window on CBS, scheduled for 4:25 PM ET, has consistently ranked as the most-watched television slot for the past three years, averaging nearly 26 million viewers during the last season. This season, CBS Sports will present 10 national Sunday doubleheader windows, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs four times and the Dallas Cowboys twice.

Overall, CBS Sports’ national game windows — including Thanksgiving (#CHIvsDET) and Week 15 Saturday Primetime (#CHIvsBUF) — will feature multiple appearances by the Chiefs (4 games) and the BillsCowboys, Broncos49ers, and Bears (2 games each).

The 4:25 PM ET national window debuts for the 2026 season on CBS with the Packers-Vikings Week 1 NFC North game (Sunday, September 13), and will have some of the biggest matchups on the NFL calendar, including Ravens-Cowboys from Rio de Janeiro in Week 3, Chiefs-Broncos in Week 8, Steelers-Eagles in Week 11, Bills-Patriots in Week 13, Cowboys-Rams in Week 15 & 49ers-Chiefs in Week 16.

The NFL on CBS goes into the home stretch of the regular season on a high note, with a national doubleheader in three of the regular season’s last four weeks (Week 15, Week 16 & Week 18).

Blockbuster Week 15 Schedule includes TWO national games — Bears vs. Bills on Saturday night and Cowboys vs. Rams on Sunday afternoon:

When the race towards postseason play heats up, CBS Sports is proud to announce that it will have TWO national games during Week #15.

This year, CBS Sports has announced an exclusive Saturday night primetime window on Saturday, December 19, as D’Andre Swift and the Chicago Bears visit Dion Dawkins and the Buffalo Bills at 8:20 PM ET.

The following day, NFC heavyweights meet at SoFi Stadium as CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys travel out west for a conference tilt with Trent McDuffie and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, December 20, at 4:25 PM ET (1:25 PM PT local). Leading the Sunday Week 15 slate is a classic AFC North division matchup as the Ravens face the Steelers at 1:00 PM ET.

NFL on CBS Schedule Has More Games With AFC’s Top Clubs Than Any Other Network and Strong Lineup of NFC Teams:
As the lead home for AFC games, the NFL on CBS will feature the AFC’s top teams regularly throughout the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are all slated to appear nine times on CBS — three times as many as any other network — with the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos each getting 10 appearances on CBS. The Chiefs enter 2026 with four 4:25 PM ET national games on CBS.

CBS Sports’ 2026 NFL schedule will also have a regular presence of NFC teams. The San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions get three games each on the network. The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawksthe Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Los Angeles Rams will each compete twice on the station. The Packers get a Week 1 national game on CBS for the second straight year.

NFC North Rivalry -- Bears vs. Lions -- Gets Thanksgiving Slate Underway:

The NFL on CBS announced its return to Detroit this Thanksgiving for a late-season divisional rivalry matchup, with Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions taking on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears (Thursday, November 26, at 1:00 PM ET). Over the past three seasons, both teams have claimed the NFC North title, with the Bears securing the division crown last year (2025) and the Lions winning it in the two preceding seasons (2023-24).

AFC’s Star Quarterbacks In The Spotlight All Season Long:
As the primary television partner for the AFC, CBS Sports’ 2026 NFL schedule is filled with plenty of looks at some of the AFC’s top quarterbacks, including Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), Joe Burrow (Bengals), Lamar Jackson (Ravens), CJ Stroud (Texans), Bo Nix (Broncos), Justin Herbert (Chargers) & Drake Maye (Patriots).

Featured Games In The 1:00 PM ET and 4:05 PM ET Windows:

The schedule has plenty of compelling games in the 1:00 PM ET and 4:05 PM ET windows, featuring playoff teams, division rivalries, and interconference battles.

Among some of these contests are Bills-Texans (Week 1), Steelers-Patriots (Week 2), Bengals-Steelers (Week 3), Patriots-Bills (Week 4), Broncos-Chargers (Week 5), Panthers-Eagles (Week 6), Bengals-Ravens (Week 7), Ravens-Bills (Week 8), Chiefs-Falcons (Week 10), Ravens-Texans (Week 12), Texans-Commanders (Week 14) & Ravens-Steelers (Week 15).

AFC teams featured heavily in these windows include the Chiefs, Bills, Broncos, Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, Chargers, Texans, along with a regular helping of NFC squads, including the Eagles, Rams, 49ers, Giants, Commanders & Vikings.

  6. Those are good predictions of which cbs games will be announced by the cbs NFL announcers this coming new season. It makes way more sense for Jim Nantz and Tony Romo to announce
Packers vs Vikings game at Minneapolis on cbs week 1 at 3:25 pm. I also see Nantz and Romo to announce Chiefs vs Chargers game at arrowhead week 6, Chiefs vs. Broncos game at Denver week 8 and Chiefs vs. 49ers game at arrowhead week 16. Despite the packers have one game on cbs this coming new season and if for some reason, Packers vs. Lions game at Lambeau week 18 gets flexed to 3:25 pm on CBS, I could see Nantz and Romo announcing that matchup related to playoff implications.
