- Rising play-by-play star Noah Eagle joins former Penn State quarterback Todd Blackledge (analyst) and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen to broadcast "Big Ten Saturday Night" and select matchups in the primetime window, starting with New Mexico vs. Michigan on Saturday, August 30, on NBC and Peacock.
- Marquee 2025 college football games on the NBC Sports family include No. 19 Texas A&M vs. No. 6 Notre Dame on Saturday, September 13, No. 7 Oregon vs. No. 2 Penn State in the annual "White Out" Game on Saturday, September 27, and USC vs. No. 6 Notre Dame on Saturday, October 18.
- Dan Hicks (Play-By-Play), Jason Garrett (Analyst), & Zora Stephenson (Sideline Reporter) team up once again to call Notre Dame football home games.
- In the studio, host Ahmed Fareed leads the revamped "College Countdown" pregame show, working alongside Chris Simms and Joshua Perry, with Nicole Auerbach providing insider information about various Division 1 college football teams. Additionally, Jordan Cornette, Matt Cassel, and Michael Robinson incorporate their thoughts and analysis from the site of that week's Saturday primetime game.
With the 2025 college football season now underway, NBC Sports has announced its commentary teams for the 2025 season. This year, NBC and Peacock are combining to televise more than 25 Big Ten and Notre Dame football games. Peacock will have FOUR exclusive games during the first three weeks of the season.
Big Ten Saturday Night presented by Discover:
For the third consecutive season, NBC's "Big Ten Saturday Night presented by Discover" package is led by play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle, analyst and former Penn State QB Todd Blackledge, and reporter Kathryn Tappen. Blackledge starts his 32nd season announcing college football games. The team kicks off the season with the New Mexico vs. Michigan game on Saturday, August 30, at 7:30 PM (ET) on NBC and Peacock.
Notre Dame Football:
NBC Sports prepares to begin its 35th season covering Notre Dame football home games. Spearheading the live game coverage once again is veteran play-by-play commentator Dan Hicks, analyst and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, and versatile sideline reporter and play-by-play commentator Zora Stephenson. Hicks received the assignment of calling Notre Dame Football for the second straight year, following a four-year stint from 2013-16. Garrett, who also works as a studio analyst for Football Night in America, has plenty of football experience. Previously, Jason played for 12 years in the NFL as a quarterback and coached in the NFL for 16 seasons, including nearly a decade as the head man in Dallas. Garrett & Stephenson call Notre Dame Football for the fourth straight campaign.

Some interesting primetime games on the 2025 College Football on NBC slate includes No. 19 Texas A&M battling No. 6 Notre Dame on Saturday, September 13, No. 7 Oregon flying cross country to challenge No. 2 Penn State in the school's annual "White Out" game on Saturday, September 27, and USC-Notre Dame on Saturday, October 18, in one of college football's best-known rivalries.
Big Ten Football:
Paul Burmeister, a longtime NBC Sports personality, will call several Big Ten matchups throughout the regular season. Football Night in America analyst Chris Simms, Super Bowl XLVIII champion and 2005 Big Ten MVP Michael Robinson, and former Pittsburgh wide receiver Yogi Roth serve as game analysts. Additionally, two-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl XXI MVP Phil Simms makes his return to NBC Sports after previously working there from 1995-97. Simms will broadcast select games for Peacock this season. Michael Grady, who is joining NBC Sports as one of their NBA play-by-play commentators, will call the Towson vs. Maryland game for Peacock on Saturday, September 13. Caroline Pineda resumes her sideline duties for the third consecutive year.
College Countdown presented by Genesis:
In 2025, "College Countdown presented by Genesis" features the studio team of host Ahmed Fareed, analyst Joshua Perry, and insider Nicole Auerbach. Chris Simms, who will be calling select CFB games besides his regular "Football Night in America" duties, will also join the studio team periodcally throughout the year.
Fareed works for NBC Sports as a host and reporter for several important sports properties, including Monday night NBA coverage, the Premier League, the Olympics, and horse racing. Perry, who played at Ohio State, guided the Buckeyes to the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship in 2014. Later, Joshua played in the NFL for a few seasons. Simms spent four years at the University of Texas (1999-2002) prior to having a eight-season career in the NFL.
On-location each week will be host Jordan Cornette with analysts Matt Cassell and Michael Robinson.
Cornette, who played for Notre Dame basketball for four seasons, holds several roles with NBC Sports, including host, analyst, & reporter. Currently, Cornette contributes to college basketball, NBA, and college football coverage, among other things. Cassel, who was drafted in the seventh round in 2005 out of USC, had a 14-year NFL career in the NFL. Robinson, a fourth-round draft choice out of Penn State back in 2006, played eight seasons in the NFL and was a member of the Seahawks team in 2013 that captured the franchise's first Super Bowl championship.
Big Ten College Countdown precedes most Big Ten games on NBC/Peacock. Plus, College Countdown serves as the lead-in to Notre Dame Football games on NBC/Peacock.
