Sunday, November 3, 2024

  • A five-game regional slate for the NFL on FOX as the second half of the 2024 season opens up this Sunday, November 10.
  • A special two-hour of "FOX NFL Sunday" this week as FOX continues their time-honored tradition of broadcasting from a military base on or around Veterans Day. Live from Naval Base San Diego, "FOX NFL Sunday" will air from 11:00 AM (ET) to 1:00 PM (ET) [8:00 AM (PT) to 10:00 AM (PT)] on FOX this week with Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, and Jay Glazer.
  • Some of the current top-tier teams are set to make FOX appearances this week - including Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (6-2), Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons (6-3) and Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3).
  • Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4) engage in battle with Jordan Whitehead and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) in a game that has massive implications in the NFC on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET).
  • Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) welcome the Tennessee Titans (2-6) to town for an AFC tilt on Sunday, November 10 at 4:05 PM (ET).

Hi, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I am writing this article to serve as our weekly NFL on FOX "regionalization" post. We are now in Week 10?! How is that possible? Anyways, FOX Sports has a regional day of football activity this Sunday, November 10. The top game in the FOX stable this week is a NFC matchup from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida as Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4) pick up their weekly game routine following a bye week versus Baker Mayfield and the plummeting Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5).

Furthermore, FOX has a five-game schedule this Sunday (factoring in San Francisco @ Tampa Bay from before) - 49ers at Buccaneers (1:00 PM ET, previously mentioned), Patriots at Bears (1:00 PM ET), Falcons at Saints (1:00 PM ET), Vikings at Jaguars (1:00 PM ET) & Titans at Chargers (4:05 PM ET). Ladies and gentlemen, you know that Tamir has the scoop on this Sunday's NFL on FOX game coverage. Time now to discuss these games in further analysis with this week's FOX regionalization article.

This week, the pregame lineup on FOX will be a little bit different. Instead of having two pregame shows like most weeks, the iconic pregame program "FOX NFL Sunday" is expanding to two hours for one week only. The "FOX NFL Sunday" guys will be in San Diego, California at Naval Base San Diego for the entire two-hour show, beginning at 11:00 AM ET and running through 1:00 PM ET. Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan & Jay Glazer will continue FOX's longstanding tradition of airing "FOX NFL Sunday" at a military base on or around Veterans Day.

After the special two-hour Veterans Day edition of "FOX NFL Sunday", FOX will move ahead to carry the early 1:00 PM ET kickoffs for markets that are permitted to watch in this window. The four-game schedule includes: 49ers at Buccaneers (55% of Markets), Patriots at Bears (15% of Markets), Falcons at Saints (7% of Markets) & Vikings at Jaguars (5% of Markets). We will tackle every game in this lineup, to furnish you with insight and things to look for when you watch these games.

Two teams that are searching for sustainable momentum butt heads in Tampa as Fred Warner and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4), coming off a bye week, visit William Gholston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET). The 49ers recorded a 30-24 win over the Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 8 (prior to the team taking a bye week last week). The Buccaneers lost to the Chiefs, 30-24 in overtime, on "Monday Night Football" last week. And now, these two will glance at each other for three hours on Sunday afternoon. In the Cowboys game two weeks ago, the 49ers were led by QB Brock Purdy went 18-for-26 for 260 yards and one touchdown. Additionally, 49ers RB Isaac Guerendo (part of the running back rotation in the absence of Christian McCaffrey over the first eight games) went for a career high 14 carries and 85 yards vs. the Cowboys in Week 8, including his first career touchdown. The Buccaneers look to quarterback Baker Mayfield to steer the ship, as Mayfield leads the league in passing touchdowns (51) since Mayfield took over the Buccaneers starting quarterback job in 2023. The Buccaneers are the only team in the league with runners over 275+ scrimmage yards this season (Bucky Irving - 593, Rachaad White - 527 & Sean Tucker - 283). 🎙 Calling Sunday's 49ers-Buccaneers over the national FOX airwaves will be Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), former Buccaneers QB and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) & Tom Rinaldi (reporter).

Hunter Henry and the New England Patriots (2-7) try to throw in a monkey wrench to rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears' (4-4) playoff chances on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Patriots lost a tight game at the Titans, 20-17, in overtime. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson has a career high six rushing touchdowns in 2024, with three rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks. Patriots LB Jahlani Tavai led the team with 11 tackles last week vs. the Titans. The Bears look to rebound following a ugly 29-9 loss to the Cardinals last week. Since Week 4, Bears QB Caleb Williams is one of just two passers to have seven touchdowns and one or fewer interceptions (Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is the other one). Bears RB D'Andre Swift's 615 yards from scrimmage are fourth-most in the NFL since Week 4. 🎙 Kevin Kugler (play-by-play), three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl Johnston (analyst) and Laura Okmin (reporter) will be on the call for Sunday's Patriots-Bears game on FOX.

Two NFC South teams take the field against each other in Week #10 as Kirk Cousins and the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons (6-3) visit Marquez Valdes-Scantling and the dismal New Orleans Saints (2-7) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Falcons are coming off two straight victories, including a 27-21 win over the Cowboys last week. The Falcons are in very good shape considering the fact that they missed the postseason in 2023. Falcons RB Bijan Robinson compiled 145 scrimmage yards last week vs. the Cowboys. Falcons ILB Kaden Elliss set a season high in tackles (13), defensive stops (9), pass rushes (15) and pressures (5) last week vs. the Cowboys. The Saints' season has been a complete disaster, as the team has seven straight losses on their resume entering this divisional clash. Last week, the Saints had a heartbreaking defeat 23-22 at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. Darren Rizzi makes his debut as the Saints' interim coach, replacing Dennis Allen (who was fired following last week's loss to Carolina). Saints RB Alvin Kamara ranks first in the NFL with 51 first downs. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Joe Davis joins analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and reporter Pam Oliver for Sunday's Falcons-Saints game on FOX.

Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (6-2) begin a three-game road trip against Joshua Hines-Allen and the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars (2-7) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. The Vikings got back to the winning ways last week with a 21-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on "Sunday Night Football". The Vikings didn't make the playoffs in 2023. However, they are off to a wonderful start this season with a 6-2 mark through eight games. Vikings RB Aaron Jones has 82 scrimmage yards (64 rush, 18 rec.) in Week 9 vs. the Colts. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson had 7 catches for a season-high 137 yards in Week 9 vs. Indianapolis. The Jaguars bring a poor 2-7 record into play in Week #10, as their season is basically. Last week, the Jaguars traveled to Philadelphia to face the Eagles and lost 28-23 to Philadelphia. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence rushed for two touchdowns last week against Philadelphia. Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby has 75+ rushing yards in two of his past three games. 🎙 Versatile play-by-play announcer Adam Amin facilitates Sunday's Vikings-Jaguars broadcast on FOX as a play-by-play guy, with game analyst and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez. Kristina Pink works the sidelines.

Later on, for viewers slated to receive a late game only, live game coverage of the Tennessee Titans (2-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) (18% of Markets) game begins at 4:05 PM ET. Extra information about this matchup will be made available for you.

The Titans, who enter Sunday's game at the Chargers with a dreadful 2-6 record, actually picked up a rare win last week vs. the Patriots, winning 20-17 in overtime thanks to Nick Folk's game-winning kick. For the third straight year, the Titans and Chargers battle each other. Last year, the Titans narrowly defeated the Chargers 27-24 in overtime at Nissan Stadium. The Titans make just their second-ever visit to SoFi Stadium in the stadium's brief five-year history. Titans RB Tony Pollard ran for 128 yards and collected 154 yards from scrimmage (26 yards on 3 catches) in Week 9 vs. the Patriots. The Titans defense had a field day vs. the Patriots last week, forcing three turnovers. The Chargers return to SoFi Stadium following a 27-10 last week vs. the Browns. Chargers QB Justin Herbert passed for two tuddies, while Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins powered in two more tuddies. The Chargers are firmly in the playoff picture at 5-3, currently holding a Wild Card position. 🎙 Sunday's Titans-Chargers commentary team on FOX features play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi.
