2023 College Football on NBC and Peacock Announcers

* Notre Dame Football's 2023 campaign begins versus Navy in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, August 26 on NBC and Peacock (2:30 p.m. ET), with Jac Collinsworth (play-by-play), Jason Garrett (analyst), Zora Stephenson (reporter) & Terry McAulay (rules analyst) on the call.

* Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Chris Simms (analyst), Lewis Johnson (reporter) & Terry McAulay (rules analyst) are on the call for NBC's Big Ten Football debut exclusively on Peacock -- Michigan plays host to East Carolina on Saturday, September 2 (12:00 p.m. ET).

* West Virginia at Penn State in the Big Ten Saturday Night season opener, September 2 on NBC and Peacock (7:30 p.m. ET), featuring the broadcast team of Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst) & Kathryn Tappen (reporter).

As you may or may not know, NBC Sports is planning to expand their college football coverage this fall, with the addition of Big Ten Football in addition to their broadcasts of Notre Dame home games.

With 30+ games on NBC Sports' schedule, that means NBC adds an expanded group of commentators to handle the additional workload of more games.

So on Wednesday, NBC Sports announced their commentator lineup for their college football coverage this fall.

Below are NBC's commentary teams for college football, with more announcers to be added as the season progresses (and circumstances dictate):

• Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst) & Kathryn Tappen (reporter) -- Big Ten Saturday Night
• Jac Collinsworth (play-by-play), Jason Garrett (analyst) & Zora Stephenson (reporter) -- Notre Dame and select Big Ten football games
• Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Chris Simms (analyst) & Lewis Johnson (reporter) -- East Carolina vs. Michigan (Week 1), as Big Ten season officially opens up one month from today, September 2 on Peacock (12 p.m. ET)
• To supplement Eagle, Blackledge, Tappen, Collinsworth, Garrett & Stephenson, NBC will summon additional commentators for the Big Ten games including -- Brendan Burke (play-by-play), Paul Burmeister (play-by-play), Andrew Siciliano (play-by-play), Kyle Rudolph (analyst), Anthony Herron (analyst), Michael Robinson (analyst), Joshua Perry (analyst) & Caroline Pineda (reporter).

Nicole Auerbach, someone who possesses a decade-plus amount of experience covering college athletics (CFB and CBB), joins NBC Sports as a lead college football insider. She will appear on B1G College Countdown, NBC's pregame for the Big Ten Saturday Night games.

NBC Sports' Sunday Night Football rules analyst Terry McAulay, a referee in 17 of his 20 seasons as an on-field official, and Reggie Smith, a former Big Ten referee (along with time in the Big 12) serve as NBC's official rules analysts on college football this season.
