• ESPN opens the 2023-24 NHL season with an exclusive tripleheader on Tuesday, October 10: Predators vs. Lightning, Blackhawks vs. Penguins & Kraken vs. Golden Knights.
• 2024 NHL All-Star Skills Competition from Toronto on Friday, February 2 at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN.

Earlier this week, ESPN announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 NHL season, with 86 exclusive games across ESPN, ESPN+, and Hulu (31 games on ESPN and 55 games on ESPN+/Hulu). ESPN televises games for the third consecutive season. Furthermore, ESPN will exclusively televise the Opening Night tripleheader and NHL All-Star Skills Competition.

ESPN's NHL studio show, The Point, premieres on Tuesday, October 10, at 5:00 PM (ET), ahead of ESPN's season-opening tripleheader and will be presented weekly on Tuesdays during the fall.

NHL Opening Night on ESPN/ESPN+:

The NHL's 106th season begins in the United States on Tuesday, October 10, with a NHL Opening Night tripleheader on ESPN and ESPN+.

The newly reconfigured Nashville Predators, with newcomer Ryan O'Reilly, new head coach Andrew Brunette and veteran defenseman Roman Josi begin the season hosted by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Brayden Point and 100-plus point scorer Nikita Kucherov at 5:30 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+.

The highly-anticipated debut of 2023 number #1 draft pick Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks' season-opening contest continues in primetime at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+ against another former top draft pick, Sidney Crosby, and the Pittsburgh Penguins, who bolstered their roster with the addition of the defending Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson this offseason.

Following at 10:30 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+, the Seattle Kraken, who fell just one game of reaching the Western Conference Final in just their second season as a NHL team, face off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights and Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault and Jack Eichel in a Pacific Division season opener. Prior to this game, the Golden Knights will see their first-ever championship banner be raised at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Frozen Frenzy:

A rare frozen frenzy occurs on Tuesday, October 24, with all 32 NHL teams in action, highlighted by ESPN's exclusive tripleheader - beginning at 6:00 PM ET - featuring the Maple Leafs at Capitals, Bruins at Blackhawks and Flyers at Golden Knights (ESPN/ESPN+). With every team in action during this evening, ESPN2 will provide a special primetime whiparound show from 8:00 PM ET - 11:00 PM ET.

NHL All-Star Weekend:

The league's regular season calendar takes a brief pause during the first weekend of February when the league heads up north to Toronto, Ontario and Scotiabank Arena. The 2024 NHL All-Star Skills Competition takes place from Toronto on Friday, February 2 at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN.

President's Day Doubleheader on ESPN:

ESPN will present a President's Day doubleheader on Monday, February 19. The Monday doubleheader begins at 1:00 PM (ET) as Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Jordan Kyrou and the St. Louis Blues. Following the Toronto-St. Louis game, Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings travel to the Emerald City to play the Seattle Kraken at 3:30 PM (ET).
