What a wild, entertaining first round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs!

The National Hockey League (NHL) announced on Wednesday of this week the schedule for the Conference Semifinal round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Each and every game will be televised by a national platform only. You will also begin to notice that the schedule will begin to soften because less teams are now involved in the postseason fight. The networks of NBC and NBCSN will be responsible to televise each and every game of the second round (albeit there is a possibility that USA Network or CNBC can be resurrected to televise a potential Game 7 later on).

The second round will begin on Thursday, Apr. 25 with a Thursday night doubleheader. First up, the Boston Bruins will host the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Mike "Doc" Emrick will emcee on the play-by-play, joined by analysts Mike Milbury (booth) and Brian Boucher (Inside the Glass). Then later on, the St. Louis Blues will do battle against the Dallas Stars in Game 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Brendan Burke will call play-by-play with analysts A.J. Mleczko (booth) and Pierre McGuire (Inside the Glass).

The second round strides forward the following evening on Friday, Apr. 26 with a Friday night doubleheader. The night's action will open from Brooklyn as the Carolina Hurricanes visit the New York Islanders in Game 1 of their series at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. John Forslund will call the play-by-play with analysts Eddie Olczyk (booth) and Brian Boucher (Inside the Glass). The doubleheader shifts West as the Colorado Avalanche visit the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 of their series at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Brendan Burke will call play-by-play with analysts Joe Micheletti (booth) and Pierre McGuire (Inside the Glass)
