FOX Sports continues their 2024 regular season baseball ⚾ coverage on Saturday, May 4, at 7:00 PM ET with the season premiere of Baseball Night in America. FOX is set to regionalize two games during this time slot to air in front of a national audience.

The night will begin in the Los Angeles studios, as host Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Dontrelle Willis set up the evening's matchups before sending viewers out to the ballpark for their "regional" game.

Most of the nation will see Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets battle Randy Arozarena and the Tampa Bay Rays in the middle game of their three-game series. 2006 World Series champion Adam Wainwright is set to step in the FOX broadcast booth to make his regular season game debut as a game analyst for the Mets/Rays game. Wainwright, who retired following the 2023 season, joined FOX on a full-time basis beginning in 2024. Wainwright will work alongside veteran and versatile play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and longtime MLB on FOX reporter/insider Ken Rosenthal.

For those not receiving the Mets-Rays game, an American League West clash takes center stage in Houston as Julio Rodríguez and the Seattle Mariners visit Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros as the two rivals do battle for the second game of a three-game weekend series in the Space City 🚀. Aaron Goldsmith (play-by-play) and 2005 World Series champion A.J. Pierzynski (analyst) will have the call.

2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Conference Semifinals (Second Round) Television Schedule and Announcers

• Conference Semifinal games to be split between ESPN, TBS & TNT (with truTV simulcasting most games that air on TNT and TBS).

• Conference Semifinal round begins on Sunday, May 5 at 4:00 PM ET with Game 1 of the Hurricanes vs. Rangers series on ESPN.

With the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs now complete, it's time to look ahead to the Second Round of the postseason.

The Second Round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs will start on Sunday, May 5 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN as Mika Zibanejad and the New York Rangers host Seth Jarvis and the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of their best-of-seven Semifinal series in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers possess the best record in hockey this year and are coming off a four-game sweep of the Washington Capitals in the first round. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes eliminated the New York Islanders in a quick, five-game opening round series. ESPN's lead NHL team of Sean McDonough, Ray Ferraro and Emily Kaplan will be on the call.

The Second Round then continues on Monday, May 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN when Matthew Tkachuk and the defending Eastern Conference champion Florida Panthers host Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins to open up the semifinal round for both teams. The Bruins are just off a exciting seven-game series with the Maple Leafs in Round 1, while the Panthers made easy work of their in-state rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning, by beating them four games to one in the First Round. Bob Wischusen is on the call with analyst Ryan Callahan and reporter Leah Hextall.

ESPN will present a Conference Semifinal doubleheader on Tuesday, May 7. ESPN's Tuesday coverage drops the puck at 7 p.m. ET as Sebastian Aho and the Carolina Hurricanes go up against Chris Kreider and the New York Rangers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal. Sean McDonough, Ray Ferraro & Emily Kaplan once again provide commentary. The doubleheader continues with the 9:30 p.m. ET nightcap as Devon Toews and the Colorado Avalanche travel to Big D to face Wyatt Johnston and the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Avalanche took care of the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 in Round 1, while the Stars put away the defending Stanley Cup champion Golden Knights in a riveting seven-game First Round series. Mike Monaco and AJ Mleczko report the action from the broadcast booth, with Leah Hextall reporting rinkside.

The following evening, Wednesday, May 8, ESPN will once again present a playoff doubleheader. The doubleheader kicks off in Sunrise, Florida at 7:30 p.m. ET when Carter Verhaeghe and the Florida Panthers welcome in David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins for the second game of the Bruins-Panthers series. Bob Wischusen, Ryan Callahan and Leah Hextall will all reprise their roles from Game 1. Following that game, at 10 p.m. ET, Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers meet up with J.T. Miller and the Vancouver Canucks to drop the puck in Game 1 of their Semifinal matchup. The Canucks knocked out the Predators in six games during First Round play, while the Oilers raced past the Kings in a fast-moving five-game First Round series. Mike Monaco will provide play-by-play alongside analyst Cassie Campbell-Pascall.

Conference Semifinal games will then continue every single night, through at least Tuesday, May 14, with ESPN, TNT, TBS and truTV (via a simulcast) carrying games during this time frame.

If more games are needed (besides the four scheduled games), the Conference Semifinal round will then continue with additional games from Wednesday, May 15 to Monday, May 20.

The second round schedule begins with a must-see matchup in Denver as Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert and the exciting to watch Minnesota Timberwolves (#3 seed in the West) go into the Mile High City to face two-time MVP and 2023 NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokić, Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray, and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets (#2 seed in the West) in Game 1 of the best-of-seven semifinal series. This Northwest Division semifinal clash tips off on Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 PM ET on TNT. 🎙 Kevin Harlan will provide play-by-play commentary alongside Hall of Famer Reggie Miller (analyst) and three-time Sixth Man of the Year award winner Jamal Crawford (analyst). The following night, Tuesday, May 7, features two Conference Semifinal series starting on TNT. The night begins at 7:00 PM ET on TNT when Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics welcome in Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers (#4 seed in the East) for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. 🎙 Spero Dedes and Greg Anthony describe the action from courtside for Game 1 & for every single TNT broadcast slated for this particular semifinal matchup, joined by reporter Stephanie Ready.

FOX is set to return to the baseball ⚾ diamond this Saturday, April 27, with regional coverage of two exciting matchups on the FOX broadcast network at 4:00 PM ET. FOX's afternoon regional coverage on Saturday will be followed by FS1's presentation of the Diamondbacks vs. Mariners game later that evening at 9:30 PM ET.

Most of the nation will watch a National League matchup from Citi Field as Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets welcome Paul Goldschmidt and the St. Louis Cardinals to town. The Mets are back home following a 3-3 road trip through Los Angeles and San Francisco. The home field for the Mets hasn't been kind to them so far this season, as the Mets currently have a .500 mark at Citi Field (6-6). Meanwhile, the Cardinals are coming off a series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the defending National League champions. De La Cruz, of course, is a rising star in baseball nowadays with his exciting style of play and swagger. Elly leads the Reds in batting average, runs & home runs as of Thursday, April 25. Blog Update - Wednesday, April 10, 2024 - The Official Addition of the WNBA

Hi, everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hopefully, your week is off to a great start. I just wanted to write up this blog update today to inform you about a new and exciting addition to my sports website. Now, if you pay attention to the blog description near the top of my blog, I mentioned that I would be adding the WNBA to the list of sports that I cover, starting in 2024.

Now, the time has come to embrace being uncomfortable and tackle some new projects. So beginning with this season, 2024, I will be covering women's sports for the first time in the nearly decade long history of this website. I am so excited to share this news with everyone out there!

I will be covering the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for the first time ever. As part of this new commitment, WNBA games that will be airing on ABC and ESPN will be tracked, with any announcing assignments and game updates. Plus, any and all postseason broadcasts will be documented as well. If you guys want any other networks (besides ABC and ESPN) to be covered here in this space, please let me know and I will see if I have the time to devote to these networks as well.

The WNBA is a league that features some exciting talent, like 2023 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year and rising star in the broadcasting industry, Aliyah Boston and two-time Kia WNBA Most Valuable Player Candace Parker, who of course, covers the NBA for TNT during the WNBA offseason.

2024 WNBA on ESPN Schedule

The WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and ESPN announced that the league's 28th season of play, set to begin on Tuesday, May 14, is highlighted by 25 national broadcasts across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2. 

During the upcoming year, the WNBA will team up with ESPN to televise up to 52 games starting with the WNBA regular season games presented by Google and extending through the WNBA Playoffs presented by Google, which contains up to 27 games, including the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV. For the second straight year, ABC presents exclusive live coverage of the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. This year's All-Star Game takes place at the Footprint Center and is scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 PM ET (5:30 PM PST).

Additional coverage will be provided by WNBA Countdown presented by Google - ESPN's official WNBA pregame show (similar to NBA Countdown for the NBA games) that the network introduced during the 2022 WNBA playoffs. At least 10 editions of the program will air preceding game broadcasts.

The ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 broadcast schedule starts on Tuesday, May 14, as part of WNBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax with a doubleheader that will showcase the Indiana Fever, adding 2024 WNBA Draft top overall pick and former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark to a roster that features 2023 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston, visiting the Connecticut Sun (ESPN2, 7:30 PM ET). The Sun are led by Alyssa Thomas, the 2023 Kia WNBA MVP runner-up and the league's all-time leader in triple doubles, and DeWanna Bonner, a five-time WNBA All-Star whose 6,881 career points rank third among current players.

In the second game of the evening, the Las Vegas Aces - led by two-time Kia WNBA Most Valuable Players A'ja Wilson and Candace Parker, 2023 All-Stars Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young, in addition to the 2023 Kia WNBA Sixth Player of the Year Alysha Clark - tips off its quest to become the first team to win straight WNBA championships since the Houston Comets won the league's first four championships from 1997-2000, when they host the Phoenix Mercury (ESPN2, 10:00 PM ET). The Mercury is led by WNBA career points leader Diana Taurasi, nine-time All-Star Brittney Griner, and new additions in 2021 WNBA Finals MVP and three-time All-Star Kahleah Cooper and two-time WNBA All-Defensive Team selection Natasha Cloud. The game will be preceded by a WNBA Countdown presented by Google edition which will feature coverage of the Aces Championship Ring Ceremony and Championship Banner Unveiling at 9:30 PM ET.

WNBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax also includes a star-studded double dip on ABC on Saturday, May 18. Action begins with the New York Liberty, who reached the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV behind 2023 Kia WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart, 2021 Kia WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones, 2023 All-WNBA Second Team selection Sabrina Ionescu and seven-time WNBA assists leader Courtney Vandersloot, welcoming Clark and the Fever (1:00 PM ET). In the second game, the Los Angeles Sparks, featuring 2024 WNBA Draft No. 2 pick Cameron Brink and 2024 WNBA Draft No. 4 pick Rickea Jackson, visit the Aces (3:00 PM ET).

The 2024 WNBA on ESPN schedule will feature all 12 WNBA teams, with blockbuster matchups showcased throughout the year. Indiana Fever, featuring rookie sensation Caitlin Clark, two-time defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces & star-studded New York Liberty will be featured eight teams across ESPN platforms. Three of Indiana's first four games will air on ESPN platforms.

Las Vegas and New York, whose rosters featured a combined seven 2023 WNBA All-Stars and five 2023 All-WNBA Team selections, will meet twice across ESPN platforms this season. The teams will square off in the first re-match of the 2023 WNBA Finals on Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 PM ET on ABC & Sunday, September 8 at 4:00 PM ET on ESPN.

Additional Highlights of ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 Broadcast Schedule:

• In addition to the opening weekend broadcast featuring Boston and her team's No. 1 overall pick (Caitlin Clark) in the 2024 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm, coverage of the Fever is set for Monday, May 20, when they host the Sun - ESPN's first Indiana home game (ESPN, 7:00 PM ET). On Sunday, June 30, Indiana travels to Phoenix to face against Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury (ESPN, 3:00 PM ET), and on Tuesday, July 2, Indiana visits the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas (ESPN, 9:30 PM ET). The Aces announced that they are moving that July 2 contest vs. Indiana to T-Mobile Arena which can hold approximately 6,000-7,000 more seats than their current arena, the Michelob Ultra Arena.
• ESPN platforms will present two 2023 WNBA semifinals rematches when New York visits Connecticut on Saturday, June 8 (ABC, 1:00 PM ET), and Las Vegas hosts Dallas, led by All-Stars Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally (ESPN, 3:00 PM ET).
• On Sunday, June 16 (ABC, 3:00 PM ET), six-time All-WNBA Team selection Skylar Diggins-Smith returns to Phoenix with her new Seattle Storm teammates, including six-time All-WNBA Team selection Nneka Ogwumike, also in her first year with the Storm, and 2023 WNBA scoring leader Jewell Lloyd.
• Eight-time All-Star and 2012 MVP Tina Charles, who sat out the 2023 season, will visit the Liberty, a team that she spent six seasons with (2014-2019), on Sunday, June 30 (ESPN, 1:00 PM ET).
• The 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, featuring a clash between the WNBA All-Stars who compromise the USA Basketball Women's National Team versus the remaining WNBA All-Stars on Saturday, July 20, is set for a primetime broadcast on ABC for the second straight season (8:30 PM ET). One day earlier (Friday, July 19), the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge and Starry WNBA 3-Point contest will also move into a primetime slot (ESPN, 9:00 PM ET).
• When the WNBA season is set to resume following the Paris Olympics, ESPN will showcase the Liberty at Sparks game at 9:00 PM ET on Thursday, August 15.
• All games across ESPN platforms during the regular season and postseason will stream live on the ESPN App.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season on Thursday, September 19, ESPN will once again join forces with the WNBA to televise all playoff games. 2024 WNBA on ABC Schedule

The WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and ESPN announced that the league's 28th season of play, set to begin on Tuesday, May 14, is highlighted by 25 national broadcasts across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2. 

During the upcoming year, the WNBA will team up with ESPN to televise up to 52 games starting with the WNBA regular season games presented by Google and extending through the WNBA Playoffs presented by Google, which contains up to 27 games, including the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV. For the second straight year, ABC presents exclusive live coverage of the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. This year's All-Star Game takes place at the Footprint Center and is scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 PM ET (5:30 PM PST).

Additional coverage will be provided by WNBA Countdown presented by Google - ESPN's official WNBA pregame show (similar to NBA Countdown for the NBA games) that the network introduced during the 2022 WNBA playoffs. At least 10 editions of the program will air preceding game broadcasts.

The ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 broadcast schedule starts on Tuesday, May 14, as part of WNBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax with a doubleheader that will showcase the Indiana Fever, adding 2024 WNBA Draft top overall pick and former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark to a roster that features 2023 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston, visiting the Connecticut Sun (ESPN2, 7:30 PM ET). The Sun are led by Alyssa Thomas, the 2023 Kia WNBA MVP runner-up and the league's all-time leader in triple doubles, and DeWanna Bonner, a five-time WNBA All-Star whose 6,881 career points rank third among current players.

In the second game of the evening, the Las Vegas Aces - led by two-time Kia WNBA Most Valuable Players A'ja Wilson and Candace Parker, 2023 All-Stars Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young, in addition to the 2023 Kia WNBA Sixth Player of the Year Alysha Clark - tips off its quest to become the first team to win straight WNBA championships since the Houston Comets won the league's first four championships from 1997-2000, when they host the Phoenix Mercury (ESPN2, 10:00 PM ET). The Mercury is led by WNBA career points leader Diana Taurasi, nine-time All-Star Brittney Griner, and new additions in 2021 WNBA Finals MVP and three-time All-Star Kahleah Cooper and two-time WNBA All-Defensive Team selection Natasha Cloud. The game will be preceded by a WNBA Countdown presented by Google edition which will feature coverage of the Aces Championship Ring Ceremony and Championship Banner Unveiling at 9:30 PM ET.

WNBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax also includes a star-studded double dip on ABC on Saturday, May 18. Action begins with the New York Liberty, who reached the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV behind 2023 Kia WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart, 2021 Kia WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones, 2023 All-WNBA Second Team selection Sabrina Ionescu and seven-time WNBA assists leader Courtney Vandersloot, welcoming Clark and the Fever (1:00 PM ET). In the second game, the Los Angeles Sparks, featuring 2024 WNBA Draft No. 2 pick Cameron Brink and 2024 WNBA Draft No. 4 pick Rickea Jackson, visit the Aces (3:00 PM ET).

The 2024 WNBA on ESPN schedule will feature all 12 WNBA teams, with blockbuster matchups showcased throughout the year. Indiana Fever, featuring rookie sensation Caitlin Clark, two-time defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces & star-studded New York Liberty will be featured eight teams across ESPN platforms. Three of Indiana's first four games will air on ESPN platforms.

Las Vegas and New York, whose rosters featured a combined seven 2023 WNBA All-Stars and five 2023 All-WNBA Team selections, will meet twice across ESPN platforms this season. The teams will square off in the first re-match of the 2023 WNBA Finals on Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 PM ET on ABC & Sunday, September 8 at 4:00 PM ET on ESPN.

Additional Highlights of ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 Broadcast Schedule:

• In addition to the opening weekend broadcast featuring Boston and her team's No. 1 overall pick (Caitlin Clark) in the 2024 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm, coverage of the Fever is set for Monday, May 20, when they host the Sun - ESPN's first Indiana home game (ESPN, 7:00 PM ET). On Sunday, June 30, Indiana travels to Phoenix to face against Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury (ESPN, 3:00 PM ET), and on Tuesday, July 2, Indiana visits the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas (ESPN, 9:30 PM ET). The Aces announced that they are moving that July 2 contest vs. Indiana to T-Mobile Arena which can hold approximately 6,000-7,000 more seats than their current arena, the Michelob Ultra Arena.

• ESPN platforms will present two 2023 WNBA semifinals rematches when New York visits Connecticut on Saturday, June 8 (ABC, 1:00 PM ET), and Las Vegas hosts Dallas, led by All-Stars Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally (ESPN, 3:00 PM ET).

• On Sunday, June 16 (ABC, 3:00 PM ET), six-time All-WNBA Team selection Skylar Diggins-Smith returns to Phoenix with her new Seattle Storm teammates, including six-time All-WNBA Team selection Nneka Ogwumike, also in her first year with the Storm, and 2023 WNBA scoring leader Jewell Lloyd.

• Eight-time All-Star and 2012 MVP Tina Charles, who sat out the 2023 season, will visit the Liberty, a team that she spent six seasons with (2014-2019), on Sunday, June 30 (ESPN, 1:00 PM ET).

• The 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, featuring a clash between the WNBA All-Stars who compromise the USA Basketball Women's National Team versus the remaining WNBA All-Stars on Saturday, July 20, is set for a primetime broadcast on ABC for the second straight season (8:30 PM ET). One day earlier (Friday, July 19), the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge and Starry WNBA 3-Point contest will also move into a primetime slot (ESPN, 9:00 PM ET).

• When the WNBA season is set to resume following the Paris Olympics, ESPN will showcase the Liberty at Sparks game at 9:00 PM ET on Thursday, August 15.

• All games across ESPN platforms during the regular season and postseason will stream live on the ESPN App.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season on Thursday, September 19, ESPN will once again join forces with the WNBA to televise all playoff games. Wall-to-wall coverage of the WNBA Playoffs presented by Google and the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV will feature up to 27 nationally televised playoff games across ESPN platforms.
