πŸ”· NFL on CBS: Field Pass — Week #9, 2026 | Weekly Schedule Preview | CBS Singleheader — Sunday, November 8, 2026

Pregame Show | “The NFL Today presented by Jeep” — Sunday, 12:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+:
On Sunday, be sure to watch “The NFL Today presented by Jeep,” a one-hour pregame show previewing the upcoming football action at 12:00 PM ET/11:00 AM CT, live on CBS and Paramount+.

Veteran host James Brown anchors the program, accompanied by Hall of Fame head coach Bill Cowher and 11-year NFL veteran Nate Burleson. This season, the program introduces two new analysts: Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson and former NFL offensive lineman Kyle Long. “The NFL Today” will showcase highlights, analysis, feature stories, predictions, interviews, and the latest information from around the league.

CBS Singleheader | Early Game Only — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET (12:00 PM CT) on CBS and Paramount+:
Following “The NFL Today”, CBS will send many of you live to the NFL game stadiums for early singleheader action, starting at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. Four games are set to be regionalized in this slot — Jets-Chiefs, Broncos-Panthers, Lions-Dolphins, and Browns-Saints.

► Jets (2-6) vs. Chiefs (5-2) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET/12:00 PM CT on CBS & Paramount+:
Kenneth Walker and the Kansas City Chiefs (5-2) host Demario Davis and the visiting New York Jets (2-6) live from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. The Jets arrive after a 38-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week #8. The Chiefs enter after last week’s 28-24 loss to the Denver Broncos out in Colorado.

The lead NFL on CBS team of Jim Nantz (play-by-play), three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt (analyst) & Tracy Wolfson (field reporter) will provide commentary for Sunday’s Jets-Chiefs contest.

Once again, the Jets were completely grounded. Last week vs. Las Vegas, the Jets only found the end zone three times in their first six drives. In the third quarter, the Jets held a 30-21 lead. Unfortunately, the Jets crumbled down the stretch, getting outscored 17-3 the rest of the way. Another example of the Jets fumbling away a game that they probably should have won. The upcoming games against the Chiefs and Bills should be tough, and the Jets are en route to another losing campaign.

The Chiefs found some offensive firepower last week in Denver but ultimately fell short. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes went 30-for-41 (73.1%) for 321 yards with 3 TD’s and 0 INT’s in the tough loss to the Broncos. Chiefs WR Emmitt Johnson hauled in a 73-yard touchdown reception in Week 8, part of his five-reception, 128-yard outing.

► Broncos (6-2) vs. Panthers (3-4) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+:
Jaylen Waddle and the Denver Broncos (6-2) square off against Nick Scott and the Carolina Panthers (3-4) in Week #9 NFL action from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. The Broncos have won four of the past regular-season games against the Panthers. Of course, this is a rematch of Super Bowl 50, when the Broncos defeated the Panthers 24-10.

Ian Eagle (play-by-play), former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker (analyst) & Evan Washburn (sideline reporter) will handle Sunday’s Broncos-Panthers television broadcast for CBS.

The Broncos are coming off a huge 28-24 win over the Chiefs last week, taking over first place in the AFC West. Now, the Broncos fly to the East Coast for their final game before next week’s bye. Once again, the fourth-quarter Broncos showed up to the party. They outscored the Chiefs 15-0 in the final frame. Broncos QB Bo Nix went 20-for-32 (62.5%) for 222 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs in the Week 8 win over the Chiefs.

The Panthers come off last week’s 27-19 loss to the Packers on Thursday Night Football. Following a mini-bye, Chuba Hubbard and the Panthers return home and face a tough challenge as the team aims to return to the .500 mark. Can Bryce Young be protected? Last week against the Packers, the Panthers signal-caller was pressured on over 50% of his dropbacks. Carolina’s running game was held in check, with the team rushing for only 82 yards and averaging about 3.6 yards per carry (between Hubbard and Trevor Etienne) last Thursday night vs. Green Bay.

► Lions (5-2) vs. Dolphins (1-6) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+:
Week #9 regular-season action takes place in the Sunshine State 🌞 as Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions (5-2) take on Kevin Coleman and the Miami Dolphins (1-6) on Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. The Lions took down the previously undefeated Vikings, 19-15, last week. The Dolphins were clipped by the Patriots, 24-19, at home last week.

On the call for Sunday’s Lions-Dolphins game for CBS are Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), two-time Pro Bowler Trent Green (analyst) & Melanie Collins (reporter).

The Lions found a winning formula last week against Minnesota. RUN THE FOOTBALL! Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs paced Detroit’s running game with 153 yards and a touchdown. In fact, Gibbs averaged 6.5 yards per carry, which is fantastic for the Alabama product. Lions QB Jared Goff would later lose a game-winning touchdown to WR Jameson Williams in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins try to respond after blowing a 10-point lead vs. the Patriots last week, as the team desperately tries to salvage a disastrous year thus far. The third quarter proved to be Miami’s sinking ship, as the team mustered just 13 net yards (zero passing yards). The Dolphins’ running game didn’t pop off for the first time in several weeks. The miscues include a missed field goal, an unsuccessful onside kick, and a failed two-point conversion.

► Browns (5-3) vs. Saints (2-5) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET/12:00 PM CT on CBS & Paramount+:
Come inside the Superdome as Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints (2-5) play host to Tyson Campbell and the Cleveland Browns (5-3) on Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. The Browns enter Week 9 with a 5-3 record following last week’s 27-6 annihilation by the Steelers. The Saints enter Week 9 with an abysmal 2-5 record after going 1-3 in the previous four games, including a 16-10 defeat to the Steelers in Paris before the team’s Week 8 bye.

Play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon, analyst and two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan, and reporter A.J. Ross cover the action from Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Can the Browns wake up on offense? Last week, the team scored only six points against Pittsburgh, a team Cleveland beat back in Week #4. It doesn’t help that the Browns have only scored 13 first-quarter points through the first eight games of the season.

Despite New Orleans sitting at 2-5, they are only one game behind the Panthers for first place in the NFC South. Yeah, the NFC South is pretty weak, folks. The Saints open a two-game homestand this weekend, including next week’s home game vs. the Panthers and 2025 AP Offensive Player of the Year Tetairoa McMillan. The Saints need to start picking up some wins now if New Orleans wants to make a case for the NFC South division lead and/or division championship.

CBS Singleheader | Late Game Only (LATE) — Sunday, 4:05 PM ET (3:05 PM CT) on CBS and Paramount+:
For those of you getting a late game only, you’ll watch an AFC contest as the Houston Texans battle the Los Angeles Chargers, with game coverage starting at 4:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+.

► Texans (2-5) vs. Chargers (0-7) — Sunday, 4:05 PM ET/1:05 PM PT on CBS & Paramount+:
C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans (2-5) visit Khalil Mack and the Los Angeles Chargers (0-7) on Sunday, November 8 at 4:05 PM ET/1:05 PM PT on CBS and Paramount+. The Texans hold a 4-1 series lead. Houston beat the Chargers last December in the previous head-to-head meeting.

Play-by-play announcer Spero Dedes, analyst and former NFL safety Adam Archuleta, and reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala announce the action from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
