🟅 Highlights:

• NBA on Prime opening night doubleheader on Friday, October 23 has the defending NBA champion New York Knicks visiting the Boston Celtics in Atlantic Division action (7:00 PM ET) followed by Rockets vs. Spurs from Moody Center in Austin, Texas (9:30 PM ET).

• Black Friday Gameday returns on Friday, November 27, with an Emirates NBA Cup 2026 Group Play doubleheader featuring Heat vs. Knicks at 7:00 PM ET and Lakers vs. Spurs at 9:30 PM ET.

• Prime Video exclusively streams the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 Championship Game on Friday, December 11 from historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

• SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament 2027 is back on Prime Video for the second consecutive season.

• For the first time, Prime Video will broadcast a conference final, exclusively televising the Eastern Conference Finals (while ESPN will televise the Western Conference Finals). This marks the end of Year 2 of the NBA on Prime. 

Prime Video announced its full 2026-27 NBA regular-season broadcast schedule on Thursday. This year, Prime Video features 67 regular-season games (including Emirates NBA Cup Group Play and Knockout Rounds). Year 2 of the NBA on Prime starts with a marquee Opening Night doubleheader on Friday, October 23. First up, Jalen Brunson and the defending NBA Cup and NBA champion New York Knicks face Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics at 7:00 PM ET. Later that night, Kevin Durant returns to his alma mater, the University of Texas, as the Houston Rockets battle reigning Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at 9:30 PM ET.

NBA on Prime will host prominent matchups throughout the season, including Victor Wembanyama’s homecoming as the Spurs travel to Paris for the first of two NBA Global Games on January 14. On January 21, Jaylen Brown will make his first return to Boston as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. A week later, on January 28, Giannis Antetokounmpo will play his first game back in Milwaukee with the Miami Heat. The New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Lakers will each make ten appearances on Prime this season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder will appear eight times, including a matchup against the Spurs on February 11, marking one of the league’s most intense modern rivalries, and a game against the 76ers on February 13. On New Year’s Eve, Prime Video will showcase a special NBA and NFL doubleheader, starting with a rematch between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves at 4:00 PM ET, followed by the season finale of Thursday Night Football featuring the Baltimore Ravens against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Prime Video televises games from the Emirates NBA Cup for the second consecutive year, with the streamer set to televise five consecutive Emirates NBA Cup Group Play doubleheaders from October 30 through November 27. On Friday, October 30, Josh Hart and the New York Knicks take on Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 PM ET, followed by Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers battling Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at 10:00 PM ET. Black Friday Gameday returns to Prime’s NBA schedule on Friday, November 27, after Prime Video’s Broncos vs. Steelers NFL matchup. The last night of Prime’s Emirates NBA Cup Group Play coverage has Heat-Knicks at 7:00 PM ET and Lakers-Spurs at 9:30 PM ET. The NBA Cup Knockout Rounds will be exclusively seen on Prime, with Quarterfinal games on Friday, December 4 & Sunday, December 5, Semifinal games on Tuesday, December 8, and the Championship Game on Friday, December 11

This season, the NBA Global Games will exclusively return to Prime, featuring the 2027 NBA Paris and Manchester Games on January 14 and January 17, respectively. These games will showcase France’s own Victor Wembanyama as the San Antonio Spurs take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Additionally, Prime will present 11 Saturday matchups that highlight top international stars in prime time across Europe. Notable appearances include Giannis Antetokoumpo and the Heat on February 6 against the Timberwolves and on March 6 against the Indiana Pacers, as well as Franz Wagner and the Orlando Magic on March 13. The Spurs will make a third primetime appearance in Europe on March 27. In its inaugural year, Prime Video’s NBA coverage outside the United States saw a remarkable 28% increase in viewership year-over-year during the 2025-26 season, with significant growth in audiences across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America compared to the 2024-25 season.

Prime’s NBA coverage includes exclusive coverage of the 2027 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament with six games spread across three nights in April. This tournament features the No. 7-10 teams in each conference competing for the 7th and 8th seeds in the NBA Playoffs. Prime will stream select first-round and second-round playoff games before presenting the Eastern Conference Finals exclusively.

Studio programming kicks off 30 minutes before each game night with NBA on Prime Pregame, live from Amazon’s MGM Studios in Culver City, followed by The Half for halftime shows. Each night ends with NBA Nightcap, a one-hour postgame show. In between doubleheaders, Prime will bridge games with The Crossover.
