Hi, everyone! On Wednesday (July 30), our friends over at CBS Sports disclosed their on-air lineup for game broadcasts in 2025, which will be their 66th season as a NFL broadcaster (1956-1993 & 1998-present).

To start, play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, & longtime sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson will reunite for the ninth straight team, leading CBS' deep announcing roster. In this role, Nantz, Romo, & Wolfson will commentate on the #1 game that CBS has each week, including the marquee 4:25 PM (ET) games, Thanksgiving Day (Chiefs vs. Cowboys on Thursday, November 27), a AFC Wild Card playoff game, a AFC Divisional Playoff game, and finally, the AFC Championship Game.

Furthermore, a respected and admired former player makes the jump to calling games on a full-time basis. J.J. Watt, who received five Pro Bowl selections during his future Hall of Fame career, transitions from studio work to game analysis. Watt is accompanied by veteran multi-sport play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle and established reporter Evan Washburn. Watt is taking the place of Eagle's former partner, Charles Davis, who is being downgraded from the No. 2 crew to the No. 4 crew (alongside Andrew Catalon, Jason McCourty, & A.J. Ross) to get ready for his return to the college football world in 2026, as he will be replacing the retiring Gary Danielson as the #1 CFB on CBS analyst.

In addition, CBS is proud to welcome two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan to the "NFL on CBS" team. Ryan, who initially joined CBS Sports in 2024 as a college football analyst, is now taking his incredible talent to the NFL booth, working select games for the network.

Besides a few tweaks here and there, the NFL on CBS powers ahead to the 2025 seasons with veteran and seasoned broadcast teams. Four of the top six crews are returning from the 2024 season (sans the Eagle & Catalon crews), including Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, & Tracy Wolfson (No. 1 crew); Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, & Melanie Collins (No. 3 crew); Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta & Aditi Kinkhabwala (No. 5 crew); Tom McCarthy & Ross Tucker (No. 6 crew). It should be mentioned that McCarthy & Tucker will be joined on the sidelines by a rotating reporter, including Amanda Balionis and Tiffany Blackmon, throughout the year.

Gene Steratore enters his eighth year as the NFL Rules Analyst for CBS Sports.
