The NFL Network will be back for its 17th season of televising NFL games in 2022. During the 2022 NFL season, the network will exclusively televise seven NFL games. This season, the NFL Network's game broadcasts will originate from London, England; Munich, Germany; and the United States. Talk about taking football fans across the world!
The first of these broadcasts is slated for Sunday, October 2nd at a special time of 9:30 AM (ET) as Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings take on Demario Davis and the New Orleans Saints live from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. The Vikings-Saints game will kick off the 2022 version of the NFL's International Series. The Vikings-Saints game from London will be called by play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler, analyst Mark Sanchez, with Laura Okmin and Stacey Dales reporting from the sidelines.
The following week, NFL Network is your home for another early-morning NFL contest across the pond. On Sunday, October 9th at 9:30 AM (ET), the Sunday Week 5 schedule begins in London as Xavier McKinney and the New York Giants square off against reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Kugler, Sanchez, Okmin & Dales will return to call the Giants vs. Packers game from London.
Later in the season, the NFL Network will showcase the first-ever NFL regular season game in Munich, Germany as Tyler Lockett and the Seattle Seahawks battle Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, November 13th at 9:30 AM (ET). The Seahawks-Buccaneers game takes place from Allianz Arena - Home of FC Bayern Munich.
On Saturday, December 17th, the NFL Network will televise a special Saturday tripleheader with specific matchups being announced later on in the season. The games will air on the network at 1:00 PM (ET), 4:30 PM (ET), & 8:15 PM (ET).
NFL Network's regular season schedule ends on Saturday, December 24th, Christmas Eve. The 8:15 PM (ET) game has the Las Vegas Raiders visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh, 50 years after the famous "Immaculate Reception", which occurred during the AFC Divisional Playoffs on December 23, 1972.

DeleteRich Eisen said during the Seahawks-Bucs broadcast that the same booth will have the call of Raiders-Steelers on Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a very good week for Fox in week 15, and CBS does not have a compelling early window, so I would not be surprised if the Burkhardt or Davis and the Eagle crews got a game.
