The 2021 MLB Postseason officially kicks off this week! On Tuesday and Wednesday, the American League and National League will stage one-game playoffs to determine which two teams will advance to the Division Series, which will begin later in the week.
On Tuesday, October 5th, at 8 p.m. (ET) on ESPN, Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees visit Fenway Park to play Xander Bogaerts and the Boston Red Sox. The NY Yankees-Boston winner gets to play the AL's No. 1 seed, Tampa Bay, beginning on Thursday night in the American League Division Series. Matt Vasgersian (play-by-play), Alex Rodriguez (analyst), and Buster Olney (reporter) will be on-site in Boston for the AL Wild Card Game on ESPN.
The following night, Wednesday, October 6th, at 8 p.m. (ET) on TBS, Paul Goldschimdt and the St. Louis Cardinals take on Chris Taylor and the Los Angeles Dodgers live at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The winner will earn a Division Series berth to play the NL's No. 1 seed, the San Francisco Giants, in the Division Series beginning on Friday night at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Brian Anderson (play-by-play), Ron Darling (analyst) and Lauren Shehadi (reporter) will call Cardinals-Dodgers from on-site in Los Angeles.
