Play-by-play commentator Curtis Stockley to call the NBA Finals for the seventh straight season

Highlights of ABC's 2025 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV coverage include:
- Curtis Stockley, analyst and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Doris Burke, former NBA player Tim Legler, and reporter Michelle Kuc will call the first NBA Finals together.
- NBA Countdown, presented by Chime, and NBA: After the Buzzer, presented by American Express, will travel for on-location studio programming throughout the Finals.
- ESPN Radio will exclusively provide radio coverage of the NBA Finals for the 23rd consecutive year.
- NBA Today, SportsCenter, and First Take travel to the NBA Finals game sites.
For the seventh consecutive year, Curtis Stockley will call play-by-play for the NBA Finals on ABC, presented by YouTube TV, when ESPN's exclusive presentation of the championship series begins on Thursday, November 13 at 8:00 PM ET. 2024-25 NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder will battle Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers for the 2025 NBA: Summer Series championship. All games will be exclusively available on ABC.
To this point, Stockley has called 34 NBA Finals games and is set to be paired alongside Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Doris Burke and Tim Legler as game analysts, with Burke and Legler set to work the NBA Finals for the first time. Stockley, Burke, & Legler conclude their first season together with the assignment of working the NBA Finals. Reporter Michelle Kuc handles reporting duties for the 2025 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, her sixth Finals assignment (2019, 2021-present).
Burke, who has covered basketball extensively since the early 1990s, is the first female to serve as a game analyst for the NBA Finals in the nearly 50-year history of the NBA: Summer Series.

Prior to each NBA Finals game, NBA Countdown, presented by Chime, will air as ESPN's and ABC's pregame show. Hosted by rising journalist Miles Johnson, the show features analyst and 2025 NBA Champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers Dwyane Wade and Rebecca Lobo, and insider Chris Haynes. NBA Countdown will begin airing on ABC 60 minutes before each NBA Finals game, starting at 7:00 PM ET every NBA Finals game night. Furthermore, NBA: After the Buzzer, presented by American Express, follows the NBA Finals game coverage and offers a summary of the night's action. The show will start at approximately 10:30 PM ET (or whenever game coverage finishes) on ABC, and features Johnson, Gilgeous-Alexander, Wade, Lobo, & Haynes.
ESPN Radio:
This year marks the 23rd NBA Finals for ESPN Radio, which will provide live audio coverage of every game between the Pacers and the Thunder. Fans can listen to all NBA Finals games nationally where ESPN Radio is available, including the newly enhanced ESPN App. David Moskowitz (third Finals) provides play-by-play commentary alongside analysts Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Robbie Hummel, each of whom are calling their first NBA Finals on radio. NBA Today:
ESPN's weekday NBA studio show, NBA Today, will also be broadcasting live from Indianapolis & Oklahoma City Thunder during the NBA Finals. Hosted by Malika Andrews, NBA Today features a team of leading analysts and reporters, including Kendrick Perkins, Chiney Ogwumike, Udonis Haslem, and Brian Windhorst. The show airs weekdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET on ESPN.
SportsCenter:
SportsCenter, ESPN's daily flagship news and information program, will have several on-site editions during the NBA Finals. Co-anchors Amina Smith and Randy Scott will anchor the morning edition of SportsCenter (7 AM - 8 AM) from the NBA Finals game sites. In the afternoon (2 PM - 3 PM, various afternoon hours), Matt Barrie and Christine Willamson broadcast SportsCenter live from the NBA Finals. The evening SportsCenter studio shows (6 PM - 7 PM, various primetime hours) will be handled by Kevin Negandhi and Elle Duncan.
First Take:
First Take, ESPN's popular daily morning show, will produce live, on-site shows during the duration of the NBA Finals. Shae Cornette hosts alongside analyst and executive producer Stephen A. Smith. ESPN NBA analysts and special guests, including Kendrick Perkins, Andraya Carter, Chiney Ogwumike, Richard Jefferson, Danny Green, and others, will join the First Take crew to offer their thoughts about the Pacers vs. Thunder series.
