Welcome to Week #6 of the 2024 NFL season! CBS Sports returns with more NFL coverage this Sunday, October 13. For Week #6, CBS will have a singleheader for the first time in three weeks. Five games comprises CBS's Week #6 schedule, including Commanders at Ravens, Texans at Patriots, Colts at Titans, Steelers at Raiders and Broncos at Chargers. For more information about Sunday's NFL on CBS coverage, please read the following paragraphs.

Sunday's Week 6 NFL on CBS coverage kicks off at 12:00 PM (ET) with "The NFL Today". Veteran studio host James Brown hosts the one-hour program, with Hall of Fame head coach Bill Cowher, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson & four-time Pro Bowler Matt Ryan. Insider Jonathan Jones joins the program to provide the latest news and information from around the league.

Following the conclusion of "The NFL Today", CBS will shift their focus to the live game coverage. Viewers will receive a live CBS broadcast at either 1:00 PM (ET) (early game only) or 4:00 PM (ET) (late game only). Check out the bottom of this article to figure out which game your local market will show this Sunday.

Viewers that are pegged for an early CBS broadcast will get a game at 1:00 PM (ET). CBS will have three games slated for that window, including Commanders at Ravens, Texans at Patriots & Colts at Titans. I will give you a brief summary of each one of these early afternoon battles.

Rookie quarterback sensation Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders (4-1) look to continue their dream season against fellow quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (3-2) in "The Battle of the Beltway" matchup on Sunday, October 13 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. The obvious storyline here is the two starting quarterbacks -- Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (2023) and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (2016) -- are both former Heisman Trophy winners. As you might expect, fireworks are sure to fly as Daniels and Jackson are set to duel for the first time at the professional level. For the first time since 2016, the Commanders will be traveling to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The Commanders try to begin a season 5-1 for the first time since 1996, while the Ravens attempt to secure their fourth straight win following a lousy 0-2 start. πŸŽ™ The lead CBS crew of Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst) and Tracy Wolfson (reporter) provide coverage of Sunday's Commanders-Ravens game on CBS.

Quarterback CJ Stroud and his AFC South leading Houston Texans (4-1) open up a two-game October road trip when they face Brendan Schooler and the New England Patriots (1-4) on Sunday, October 13 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. This is the 13th time that these clubs have faced off, with the Patriots leading the all-time series 9-3. If Houston wins on Sunday, it would be the first time that a Texans team has begun a campaign with a 5-1 record or better since 2012. The Patriots are pretty awful, as the team has dropped four straight contests following an upset win over the Bengals in Week 1. Texans QB CJ Stroud completed 28 of 38 passes for 331 yards, threw for a touchdown (67 yd bomb to WR Nico Collins), and tossed a interception in the tight 23-20 Texans win over the Bills last week. πŸŽ™ Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Trent Green (analyst) provide commentary for Texans-Patriots, with Melanie Collins (reporter) roaming the sidelines.

Safety Nick Cross and the Indianapolis Colts (2-2) strive to get back into the win column when they face off against Tony Pollard and the Tennessee Titans (1-3) on Sunday, October 13 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. For Tennessee, this is their first divisional matchup of the 2024 season. The Colts have already fallen short in two divisional matchups (Week 1 - vs. Houston and Week 5 - @ Jacksonville). Prior to Tennessee's bye last week, the Titans went to Miami and defeated the Dolphins 31-12 on "Monday Night Football". Titans RB Tony Pollard paced the Titans' rushing attack in Week 4 vs. Miami with 88 rushing yards on 22 carries, with a tuddy thrown in there. Last week, during the Colts' 37-34 Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, Colts WR Alec Pierce caught three receptions for 134 yards and one touchdown. πŸŽ™ In the booth, Spero Dedes (play-by-play) will team up with Adam Archuleta (analyst). Aditi Kinkhabwala reports from the sidelines.

Later that afternoon, for viewers slated to receive a late afternoon CBS game, coverage begins at 4:05 PM (ET) (with CBS signing on the air at 4:00 PM ET for a mini pregame show of sorts). CBS will regionalize two games in the late afternoon slot - Steelers at Raiders and Chargers at Broncos. Let's talk about these late afternoon AFC encounters.

T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) are set to travel cross country to play Alexander Mattison and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-3) on Sunday, October 13 at 4:05 PM (ET) on CBS. After a 3-0 start, the Steelers have now dropped two straight games entering this Week 6 affair. For the Raiders, they are coming off a 34-18 loss last week to their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos. This is the 33rd meeting between two iconic cornerstone AFC franchises, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 17-15. πŸŽ™ Sunday's Steelers-Raiders is set for a national broadcast on CBS with Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst) and Evan Washburn (reporter) announcing.

Following a bye week, Kristian Fulton and the Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) head to Denver, Colorado to square off against Courtland Sutton, P.J. Locke and the red-hot Denver Broncos (3-2) on Sunday, October 13 at 4:05 PM (ET) on CBS. The Chargers' defense is one of the best ones in the NFL right now, allowing just 12.5 points per game (the best in pro football). The Chargers have three players responsible for multiple sacks through four weeks including OLB Khalil Mack (2), LB Joey Bosa (2) & OLB Bud Dupree (2). Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II had a 100 yard interception return for a touchdown last week in a 34-18 win over the Raiders. The Broncos are now catching steam, as the team has ripped off three straight victories following a dismal 0-2 start. πŸŽ™ Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Tiki Barber (analyst), Jason McCourty (analyst) & AJ Ross (reporter) are set to call Sunday's Chargers-Broncos game on CBS.
