Today, along with sister network ESPN, ABC announced their national television schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season. ABC is scheduled to televise 19 games during the season. The 2021-22 season marks ABC's 20th straight season of NBA coverage, dating back to the 2002-03 season.

Key ABC games for this season will include NBA Saturday Primetime, NBA Sunday Showcase, Christmas Day, among other games.

ABC will televise a Christmas Day triple-header on Saturday, December 25 == Celtics vs. Bucks at 2:30 p.m., Warriors vs. Suns at 5 p.m.

The NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC series resumes for the seventh straight season. Once again, Saturday Primetime will be your home for some of the league's most significant attractions in terms of personnel and individual teams. Steph Curry and the Warriors take on LeBron James and the Lakers twice this year, February 12 and March 5. The series debuts on Saturday, December 11, as Curry and the Warriors face Joel Embiid and the 76ers in Philadelphia. All NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC games will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The NBA Sunday Showcase is back on ABC! On Sunday, March 6, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns visit Giannis Antetokoumnpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a 2021 NBA Finals re-match. The long-time Sunday afternoon staple returns to ABC on February 13 (Super Bowl Sunday), as Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks visit Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics at 2 p.m.

2021 MGM Resorts NBA Summer League on ESPN and NBA TV Schedule and Announcers

Following the cancellation of last year's event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the "MGM Resorts NBA Summer League" is back this August on the networks of ESPN and NBA TV. The 2021 MGM Resorts NBA Summer League, the 16th edition, will take place between Sunday, August 8th and Tuesday, August 17th, at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Each of the 30 NBA franchises will partake in this year's festivities, with each team scheduled to play at least five games during the course of the event. A total of 75 games will be played over a 10-day period. Following the completion of four games, the two best Summer League teams will duke it out for the Summer League championship on Tuesday, August 17th at 9:00 PM (ET) on ESPN. Mark Jones, Fran Fraschilla, and Jorge Sedano will call the Championship Game. 

Thomas & Mack Center and/or Cox Pavilion will host either seven or eight games per day (mostly) during the Summer League.

Day 1, Sunday, August 8, features a primetime doubleheader on ESPN2. First at 8:30 PM (ET), #1 draft pick Cade Cunningham and the Pistons square off vs. the Thunder. Then at 10:30 PM (ET), the Lakers battle the Suns in a Western Conference duel + a re-match of last season's 6-game series (a series in which Phoenix won). Mark Jones will call both games with analyst Doris Burke and sideline reporter Cassidy Hubbarth.

A few nights later, on Tuesday, August 10, Jones, Burke & Hubbarth return to the commentary space as #2 overall pick Jalen Green and the Rockets square off vs. the Pistons and Cunningham at 9:00 PM (ET) on ESPN.

2021 NFL on FOX Announcers

With the 2021 NFL season approaching us very fast, our friends over at FOX Sports has released their NFL announcing lineup for the upcoming season. The 2021 season will mark the 28th straight season that FOX has covered the NFL, since their inaugural season back in 1994.

FOX will again use several notable and familiar voices including Joe Buck, Kenny Albert and Chris Myers (all at play-by-play). Plus, FOX will bring in several new faces in the studio or covering games in the booth, like Greg Olsen (to be paired with Kevin Burkhardt), Charles Woodson (to be apart of the FOX NFL Kickoff pregame show) & Mark Sanchez (to be paired with Kevin Kugler).

Brad Zager, Executive Producer, Executive Vice President/Head of Production and Operations, of FOX Sports made the official announcement of the 2021 NFL on FOX broadcasting teams/studio teams.

Joe Buck, a 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and Emmy award play-by-play commentator, returns to work the play-by-play on the lead secondary team alongside longtime colleague and analyst Troy Aikman, a three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame quarterback. Buck and Aikman, who currently represents the NFL's longest tenured-duo, will work/celebrate their 20th season together for the 2021 season. Buck and Aikman, who have been working together since 2002 in some form, are the second longest NFL's longest tenured-duo, only trailing Pat Summerall and John Madden (the former No. 1 crew at FOX prior to Buck and Aikman's appoint following the 2001 season), who worked together for 21 NFL seasons (1981 to 2001). In addition, Mike Pereira, former NFL Vice President of Officiating, will work alongside the Buck/Aikman crew, providing viewers with in-depth analysis of most notable calls in games each week. Joining Buck and Aikman is sideline reporter Erin Andrews, who is the first women exclusively honored with the Pat Summerall Award. In addition, Tom Rinaldi, a 17-time Emmy Award winner and a recent addition to FOX following his longtime stay at ESPN/ABC, joins the crew for ALL editions of America's Game of the Week. Kristina Pink will also join Buck, Aikman and Andrews for reporting duties for ALL Thursday Night Football presented by Bud Light games. Buck, Aikman, Mike Pereira, Andrews and Rinaldi will open their season on Sunday, Sept. 12 with the first America's Game of the Week broadcast of the season as the Packers visit the Saints at 4:25 PM ET.

Veteran FOX Sports play-by-play announcer and studio host Kevin Burkhardt is accompanied by newcomer in analyst Greg Olsen, a three-time Pro Bowler in the booth. Pam Oliver, who holds the distinction of being the NFL's longest tenured SLR, is back for her 27th season and will hold reporting duties for the Burkhardt/Olsen crew. Burkhardt, Olsen, and Oliver are slated to begin their season on Sunday, Sept. 12 as the Eagles visit the Falcons at 1:00 PM ET.

Adam Amin, a rising sportscaster who joined FOX in 2020 and does play-by-play for baseball, basketball and football, returns to the NFL on FOX booth this season. Amin's partner will again be Mark Schlereth, a three-time Super Bowl Champion. On the sidelines with the Amin/Schlereth crew will be Shannon Spake. The first assignment for the Amin/Schlereth/Spake team will be the Week 1 Broncos vs. Giants on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 4:25 PM ET.

Experienced play-by-play commentator Kenny Albert, who has been with FOX Sports since the sports department's debut in 1994, is back for his 28th season of NFL play-by-play. For the second straight season, Jonathan Vilma, a Super Bowl champion with the Saints, will be Albert's partner in the booth. Sara Walsh and Lindsay Czarniak will split the reporting responsibilities for the Albert/Vilma crew. Albert and Vilma began their second season together with the Seahawks at Colts game on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 1:00 PM ET. Sara Walsh will join Albert/Vilma for the Seahawks-Colts broadcast.

Chris Myers, who returns for his 19th consecutive NFL on FOX season as a sideline reporter and/or play-by-play commentator, is reunited with three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston this season. Jennifer Hale, a longtime FOX Sports personality, both nationally and with the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans (prior to the RSN renaming itself to Bally Sports New Orleans), returns to report from the sidelines. Myers, Johnston and Hale start their 2021 schedule of assignments on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 1:00 PM ET when Justin Jefferson and the Vikings travel to Cincinnati to play Ja'Marr Chase and the Bengals.

Kevin Kugler, who joined the NFL on FOX roster in 2020, is back for his second full season of having the play-by-play duties for his broadcast team. Joining Kugler is FOX Sports newcomer Mark Sanchez, a former studio analyst at ESPN, who is calling NFL games for the very first time. Laura Okmin will be the sideline reporter with the Kugler/Sanchez broadcast team. Their first game will be the Week 1 49ers vs. Lions contest on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 1:00 PM ET.

Acclaimed and well-respected FOX Sports play-by-play commentator Gus Johnson (best known for being FOX's lead CFB/CBB voice) returns to calling NFL games with select broadcasts this season with analyst Aqib Talib, who returns to FOX following his debut calling two games this season and reporter Megan Olivi. They will make their season debut with the Week 2 Vikings vs. Cardinals telecast on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 4:05 PM ET.

Additionally, NFL on FOX rules analyst and former NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino joins various NFL on FOX crews throughout the season to provide his input on important calls that impact a particular game of question. Joe Davis and Brandon Gaudin will also contribute to the NFL on FOX this season with play-by-play.

Studio Coverage

Prior to each Sunday's slate of NFL on FOX games, the proud folks at the FOX Sports Studios in Los Angeles, Calif. will kick off your football day with two hours of pregame coverage. FOX NFL Sunday, the most-watched pregame show in America for the last 27 NFL seasons, makes its season debut with a special preseason edition, on Thursday, Aug. 5, at 7:00 PM ET on FOX. Curt Menefee will once again host with four-time Super Bowl Champion and Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw. In addition to Menefee and Bradshaw, analysts Michael Strahan, Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson all return to the desk. FOX NFL Sunday is the only pregame show to compose itself of solely Hall of Fame analysts. Jay Glazer, a longtime NFL on FOX personality, reprises his role as FOX NFL's insider, providing up-to-the-minute reports from the league.

FOX NFL Kickoff, FOX's pre-pregame show for the NFL, returns on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 AM ET on FOX. Charissa Thompson is once again the host alongside 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive back Charles Woodson, four-time Pro Bowler Michael Vick, veteran analyst/reporter Peter Schrager, media personality Colin Cowherd and Super Bowl winning defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt. "BIG NOON KICKOFF" Pregame Show Set to Visit College Campuses/Stadiums including: Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Chicago's Soldier Field

This fall, FOX Sports will once again boast a full slate of games to kick off your football watching weekend on Saturday afternoons! FOX has announced several games from their pickings, dealing with the 2021 college football schedule. FOX's schedule is a curation of game selections from the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences. FOX's college football lineup begins each Saturday morning at 10:00 AM ET with the "BIG NOON KICKOFF" pregame show, with host Rob Stone, analyst Reggie Bush, analyst Matt Leinart, analyst Brady Quinn and newcomer analyst Bob Stoops. "BIG NOON SATURDAY", FOX's main college football game of the week then follows at 12:00 PM ET, with the crew of Gus Johnson (play-by-play), Joel Klatt (analyst) and Jenny Taft (SLR) reprising their roles to cover the action.

FOX's 2021 college football schedule is baked with the sport's most exciting non-conference games and well-liked rivalry games. In September, for instance, Oregon travels East to Columbus to play Ohio State in a non-conference game. This game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11 at 12:00 PM ET, is apart of the Week 2 slate. In addition, "BIG NOON KICKOFF" is scheduled to have a pregame presence live at the Shoe, prior to the game. Oregon-Ohio State begins a big-time slate of sports on FOX that weekend, including Yankees at Mets on Saturday night and a NFL Week 1 doubleheader, including Packers at Saints or Broncos at Giants in America's Game of the Week, on Sunday afternoon.

The newest member of the CFB on FOX team, Bob Stoops, returns to Norman with the "BIG NOON KICKOFF" team in Week 3 as Oklahoma plays host to Big 12 rival Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 12:00 PM ET. Wrapping up the opening month of the season, Notre Dame and Wisconsin will play at Chicago's Soldier Field on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 12:00 PM ET (Week 4). This year's meeting of the Fighting Irish and Badgers will be their first encounter in over 50 years.

Plus, the Big Ten is again in the spotlight for FOX's college football schedule. The Big Ten schedule kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 8:00 PM ET, as Ohio State visits Minnesota in a rare FOX midweek broadcast. Then, two days later, on Sept. 4, Penn State visits Wisconsin in the first "BIG NOON SATURDAY" telecast of the season. "BIG NOON KICKOFF" will be on-site in Minneapolis and Madision prior to these telecasts. Of course, the CFB season winds down with yet another installment of Ohio State and Michigan during Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday, Nov. 27 (Week 13) at 12:00 PM ET.

FOX's CFB regular season coverage wraps on Saturday, Dec. 4 (Week 14) with the Mountain West Championship and the Big Ten Championship games, both on FOX.

2021 NBA Finals on ABC TV Schedule and Announcers

The 2021 NBA Finals are set to go now! This year's NBA Finals will feature Khris Middleton and the Eastern Conference champion Milwaukee Bucks and Devin Booker and the Western Conference Champion Phoenix Suns. The Bucks are in the NBA's championship round for the first time since 1974 (when they lost to Boston in 7 games), and seeking their first NBA championship since 1971. Meanwhile, the Suns are in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993 (when they lost to Chicago in 6 games, as the Bulls completed the first of their two three-peats). The Suns are attempting to win their first NBA title in their third trip to the NBA Finals.

In order to make the 2021 NBA Finals, the No. 3 seed in the East, Bucks, defeated Miami in the first round 4-0. Then, Milwaukee defeated Brooklyn in the semifinals 4-3. Finally, the Bucks knocked off the Hawks 4-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

In order to make the 2021 NBA Finals, the No. 2 seed in the West, Suns, ousted the defending NBA Champion Lakers in the first round 4-2. Following that, the Suns swept Denver in the semifinals 4-0. In the Western Conference Finals, the Suns outlasted the Clippers 4-2.

Keep in mind that the Bucks and Suns were expansion cousins. This means that Milwaukee & Phoenix had their franchises begin in the 1968-69 season.

Of course, the Bucks & Suns were involved in a coin toss the 1969 NBA draft to pick first, which Milwaukee won (and selected UCLA center Lew Alcindor [now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar]).

Once again, ABC will televise the NBA Finals. This year is the 19th straight year that ABC has televised the series.

The series will begin on Tuesday, July 6th as the Bucks travel to Phoenix Suns Arena in Phoenix to visit the Suns. The Suns will have home court advantage in the series. All games will tip off shortly after 9 PM ET, with the exception of Game 3 on Sunday, July 11, which will tip off shortly after 8 PM ET.

Mike Breen, calling his 16th NBA Finals, will call the Milwaukee vs. Phoenix series for ABC, with analysts Jeff Van Gundy (15th) and Mark Jackson (13th). Malika Andrews (1st), a 2017 graduate of the University of Portland, is promoted for the sideline reporter job (replacing originally scheduled sideline reporter Rachel Nichols), obviously covering her 1st NBA Finals with the broadcast team.

Montreal-Tampa Bay serves as NBC Sports Group's last Stanley Cup Final following 16 seasons

The 2021 Stanley Cup Final is now set! The Montreal Canadiens, making their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 1993, will play the Tampa Bay Lightning, the defending Stanley Cup champions.

The 2021 Stanley Cup Final will serve as NBC/NBCSN's last set of NHL telecasts following 16 seasons of NHL coverage. The national TV contract will turn over to ESPN/ABC and Turner Sports, starting next season.

Game 1 of Canadiens vs. Lightning is on Monday, June 28th at 8:00 PM (ET), on NBCSN. Games 1 & 2 will be on NBCSN, with the remaining games of the series over on NBC.

Kenny Albert (play-by-play) will hold play-by-play duties for Canadiens-Lightning alongside analysts Eddie Olczyk (booth analyst) & Brian Boucher ("Inside the Glass"). Pierre McGuire ("Inside the Glass") will also hold some analyst duties as well.

2021 MLB on TBS Schedule

Following some remarks on my blog, I have decided to upload and track the 2021 MLB on TBS schedule.

The 2021 MLB on TBS Schedule will begin on Sunday, June 20th at 1:00 PM (ET) as Matt Olson and the Oakland Athletics visit Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, live from Yankee Stadium in New York. Don Orsillo (play-by-play) and Ron Darling (analyst) will call TBS' first regularly scheduled game of the season.

Following the Athletics-Yankees broadcast, TBS will air one Sunday afternoon game nationally throughout the remainder of the 2021 regular season.

TBS will be the exclusive home of the 2021 National League playoffs this fall, from the Wild Card to the National League Championship Series.

Beginning next season in 2022, TBS will move their weekly regular season game coverage from Sunday afternoons to Tuesday nights. Plus, they will debut a new studio show hosted by Ernie Johnson and analyst Curtis Granderson, with contributions from Pedro Martinez and Jimmy Rollins.

Which two teams will go to the 2021 NBA Finals?

The NBA Conference Final round is slated to begin this weekend. This round features the four teams that survived through the first two rounds of the NBA Playoffs. The purpose of the Conference Finals round is to determine which two teams will have a chance to compete for an NBA championship in 2021. More details about the Conference Finals are set to come.

Starting on Sunday, Jun. 20 at 3:30 PM (ET) on ABC, the Western Conference Finals presented by AT&T is slated to begin. This year's Western Conference Finals pits the No. 2 seed Phoenix Suns, led by guard Devin Booker against the No. 4 seed LA Clippers, led by All-Star Paul George. Game 1 is live from Phoenix's Phoenix Suns Arena.

In terms of the Clippers-Suns series, ABC will televise Game 1 while ESPN will televise the remaining games in the series, starting with Game 2.

Hall of Fame commentator Mike Breen will call the Clippers-Suns Western Conference Final series with analysts Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, alongside reporters Rachel Nichols (all games except Game 2) and Cassidy Hubbarth (Game 2 only).

The Eastern Conference Finals presented by AT&T will begin on Wednesday, June 23rd. Giannis Antetokoumpo and the No. 3 seed will take on Trae Young and the No. 5 seed Atlanta Hawks. Milwaukee will have the home court advantage in this series. The series will be televised exclusively on TNT. Marv Albert (play-by-play), who is scheduled to retire following the Eastern Conference Finals, will call the Eastern Conference Finals series with analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Stephanie Ready.
